ActionScript 3.0 :: After Preloader Is Loaded Goto Frame / Label

I've bought a very simple AS3 preloader but the default code requests an external swf thru a loader event.What I would like to achieve is when the content is loaded it goes to a frame/label on my stage.[code]

I have a button that is loaded into my main movie at level 2. in my main movie on the timeline I have a frame label called guestbook. I want my button, when released to go to trigger the frame label. on my button i have the script:
on (release) {
_root.gotoAndStop("guestbook");
}
Obvously this does not work because it references the wrong timeline so i tried:
on (release) {
_parent.gotoAndStop("guestbook");
}
thinking that somehow it would see the parent swf and work - haha - me and my dumb ideas of course it doesnt work.do you know how i can get it to work. Perhaps i should mention that the button that loads in at level 2 is inside a movie clip (for reasons of animation)

I have a Flash movie that uses three scenes. In scene one I have a button with some actionscript to take it to a frame label in that first scene and play the movie from that point on. It works fine. The problem is, in the third scene, I am trying the same action with a different button, going to a different frame label in that third scene. I am getting an error saying the frame label does not exist in that scene. Even though it does! I've checked for typos and everything looks fine. I've copied and pasted the simple actionscript from the third scene below. Is there a line I need to add to make this work in a scene that is not the first scene?

at first, I thought I could manage this myself searching the forums about "preloader" but none of the solutions seem to work. I think it has to do with the fact that I'm using the FLVPlayer with an external file. What am I looking for?
1. Well, the preload code for frame 1 that makes sure the external F4V (movie.f4v in the same dir) is loaded 100% before it jumps to frame 2 where the movie should start playing...
2. If possible, a progress bar.

I am designing a website with html pages and flash pages. When the user open a flash page (embedded in an html page) i would want to have a preload script. I found a couple of them but they all need to start at the first frame and have a go to and play script after. So my problem is that I already have an important script that make a image follow my mouse and the script needs to be on the first frame to. Is there any way to have both or maybe to have the preloader on a separate file or even change the way my script is written ?

I have Movie that has a preloader on the 1st Frame and then on the 2nd Frame a swf is loaded using this script.[code]This loads my test_1.swf into the test_1 mc inside the cc mc.This all works fine.... However what I want to know is how to only gotoAndPlay ("3") after the test_1.swf has been fully loaded?The idea I'm working with is that... an initial swf (simply an image with a preloader - test_1) would load into the background when the swf is started and then a menu would appear in frame 3 that would allow the user to replace the background swf with button clicks..... But at the moment the menu on frame 3 is loading before the background swf is loaded.

Is there any method so that I can find the List of Label in given Loaded MovieClip. I am working on a system that dynamically load SWF from other developers, since these developers has choice, they put some labels in their script. However it is upto them to use any combination of given label, so that, say one developer make labels
Inanimation, OutAnimation, Endanimation
While other make
OutAnimation,endanimation
And third make InAnimation, Endanimation
So when my script load it should read the label on their MC so it can take action accordingly. We are not sure what Frame number they put label, and we cannot change their SWF anyways. The solution I know is I check through their FrameLabels and then take action if XXX frame exists.

I have an swf loaded into _level0. On button release I want gotoAndPlay a certain frame label in an swf loaded into an MC named Host on _level0 to. I have the following:
on (release) {
_level0.host.gotoAndPlay("Main", "MainStart");
unloadMovieNum (2);
}
The unload part looks fine, and I am back to my orginal page. But the page did not jump to 'MainStart'. What am I forgetting?

After site is loaded a 100% it is stuck on the preloader image in frame one instead of going to frame to of my project.
I suppose further information about my project is needed so just say what to post and I´ll post it.

I am needing to create a preloader that advances a 10 frame animation every 10% loaded. So there will be a percentage indicator (dynamic text) and a short animation as the load bar (10 frames). The animation is of tape winding into a tape measure, and when it's fully inside the loading is complete and timeline moves onto next frame. I have been able to do this with AS2, using a combination of (stop) and (play) commands whenever the next 10% was loaded.

I am trying to build a preloader that goes to whatever frame of a mc that the movie is loaded (well...that makes no sense). Lets say, the movie is 50% loaded, then the mc will goto and stop on frame 50.
Code:
bytes_loaded = Math.round(_root.getBytesLoaded());
bytes_total = Math.round(_root.getBytesTotal());
if (bytes_loaded == bytes_total) {

make it play if the 'loaded' is only half of the 'total'...

I've got an animation in a MC which I want to play out as a preloader.For example, it has 100 frames, and I want the animation to play upto the percentage which has been loaded. So, if 40% of the SWF has been loaded, then the animation should have played upto frame 40.

I am trying to make a preloaded that stops on frames depending on how much is loaded, I want it to stay on frame 1 if 24% or less of the movies is loaded and for every 25% I want it to it to move forward a frame, So far I have done thus,

Is it possible to change a frame label within a gotoAndStop('label') with the parameters in a function?I'm playing around with updating code as I learn more and more techniques, and at the moment the code is a basic click-a-button to select the object shape, and on press the button disappears:

I have an intropage with two mc buttons that resides in another mc. They are for an English and a Dutch part. So when I click on either one of them, they go to the "Home" label (frame 2). But now at the same time when the main timeline goes to "Home" I want the movieclip container that contains 6 buttons (The English or Dutch ones) to be visible false or true when I click on one or the other. As a part of the code will show some of you there must be an 1119 error that I can't figure out. It has to do with the FrameLabel that is supposedly undifined. [code]If i remove the if statement and just put the visible statement that also gives an error.But maybe the conflict could be that btnTxtFrameN_mc nor btnTxtFrameE_mc exist on the first frame where I wrote the code and only appear as from label "Home" (second frame)

Just finally making the transition from AS2 to AS3.All i need to do at this point is make two buttons which will control the movie to goto next frame and previous frame. I have gotten how to make the buttons go to a specified frame number and also a button to go to a specified external url but no success in making a simple next/previous pair of buttons.

i created a two layer in time line in one layer there is a movieclip called mc1. In the same layer in 15th frame i have another movie clip mc2. Inside the movieclip mc2 i created another movie clip at frame10 now if i clik the the mc1 on first frame The movie clip should goto and stop at tenth frame

I found a script with a preloader for images which references the jpg names usingin an array which works great for what I wanted to do, but I would like to set up a button that allows the previous name on the list to be loaded and shown.
