ActionScript 2.0 :: Finish Animation On Button When RollOut?

Dec 30, 2009

I have looked all over internet and so many different forums but no1 has the answer yet but here is what i rly wanna do in AS2 :

lets say i have a button(which is a MovieClip and not an actual button) tweening in size to 150% from frame 1 to 40 and then another tween sizing it back to 100% from frame 40 to 80. Then when some1 Rolls Over the button you see this animation going in a loop from 1 to 80 and again and again etc. BUT i actually want a Roll OUT that finishes the animation to frame 80 (even when some1 rolls out on frame 10 or so) and then returns to and stops on frame 1.

This seems quite easy to me and i used several stuff including currentframe etc but i cant make it to work.

ActionScript 3.0 :: MP3 Player - Trigger Event When Track Finish Playing

Feb 2, 2010

I'm working on an mp3 player. I want to trigger an event when the track finishes playing. I've created a function that will just trace a statement so that I know the event listener is working, but I can't seem to get it to trigger. Here is the playSong function in which the code is used:

Code:
function playSong(mySong:Number):void {
var myURL = my_songs[mySong].@URL;
playingTra = mySong;
current_song = mySong;
my_sound = new Sound();
[Code] .....

I tried to add in the following lines, but that instead institutes some playback issues:
Code:
if (my_channel){
my_channel.stop();
my_channel.removeEventListener(Event.SOUND_COMPLETE, stuff);
}

so I have a looping animation that is several frames long. Inside the animation is a button, when pressed I want to go to another part of the timeline, where another animation is waiting. Simple, I got that working no problem. But... I need the first animation to go to the last frame in the loop before starting the next animation. The way I have it now makes an ugly cut, and the transition between animations isn't seamless.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Event Handling & Architecture Design - Event Dispatched Automatically At The End Of An Animation?

Jan 3, 2010

The app I want to build is an interactive map for a site I'm designing. In a nut shell, students looking to enter an exchange program should be able to use the map-image (as in, an actual 'map of the world') to preview possible destinations (I've attached an image of the two basic states to clarify).

After an introductory animation, I want a mouse-over to trigger a function that populates the map-image with a series of buttons. I need the buttons to be distributed according to information in an XML file (ie. x/y coords, some information text, and an animation to load upon being clicked). I want each button to call a mouse-over function that loads info data from an XML field and place it in a dynamic text field at the top. Then, I want each button, when clicked, to call a function that animates replacing the map-image with an image of the corresponding travel destination. Finally, I want a button on each image that will clear that image from the stage and call the function that populates the map so the process can start again.

I'm working out of a couple of books on AS3, but I'm a little hazy on how I ought to be constructing this thing. So here's the first place I've run aground: After the intro animation, I want the user to mouse-over the stage and have a second animation play (clearing away the introductory text), and I want the conclusion of the clearing animation to immediately call the map-populate function; but I don't want a mouse-over to have any effect until the introductory animation is finished. Is there an event dispatched automatically at the end of an animation? What is the event listener class?

I'm not sure if I should be storing each of these animations in an independent .fla file or if I should create them on all one timeline and have the program redirect to specific frames.

Professional :: Making A Frame By Frame Animation To Draw A Character?

Jul 26, 2010

I am making a frame by frame animation, where I draw a character, make a new frame and use the onion skin to slightly move my character. Is there a way to make a certain part faster than others? I made a character prepare to kick someone, but since i was doing it frame by frame it looks slow. So instead of taking out frames and making it look choppy, how do I make a certain part faster or increase its FPS? I tried making a new scene and changing its FPS, but that still changes the overall FPS.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Convert Frame By Frame To Tween/Nested Animation?

Nov 19, 2010

I have an problem whereby I have created a Frame by Frame dancing human figure and now I want to move it across the screen as well as scale it using a Tween.

I have spent quite some time slightly adjusting the upper arms, forearms, hands, legs etc and creating a new keyframe for each movement. All the movements are all in one layer... ie the forearm doesn't have it's own layer etc. I am running the animation at 24fps so there is quite bit going on.

I now realise that I should have created a symbol/movie clip from the first image I created and then scaled and moved the image first before animating it's limbs but I only realized that after hours of work and I would hate to start all over again.

So basically what I have is a dancing human figure in the one spot moving it's arms and legs and I want it to move across the screen and become larger by scaling it using a Tween. I could of course re-edit each keyframe by slightly scaling and the slightly moving the figure but that will take quite some time to get right as there will be a fair bit of trial and error doing it that way.

Flash :: IDE - Animation - Create Graphics In Illustrator For Frame By Frame?

Feb 22, 2011

I have a project that involves flash animation- almost movie like. I need some advice on how to do flash animation. I think I'll create the graphics in illustrator. Basically, the storyline is this:

- guy leaves house and walks to car

-starts engine, puts on shades and speeds off

-scenes of downtown chicago (nightlife)

-view license plate

What is the best way to do this? create graphics in illustrator for frame by frame? Should I use after effects? The client doesn't have a high budget so video is out of the question.
