View 4 RepliesI have an issue with adding a reset button to my drag and drop movie clips.The problem is, if a student drags a movie clip to a wrong location on the SWF file I want them to be able to hit a reset button that would take them the same SWF that they opened and what would showup would a clear page for them to restart their drag and drop exercise.I know how to make the button for this just want the proper action script to be able for user to start over with no movie clip symbols on the page.

I have an accordion component on my stage and I really do not even know where to start to do .I found this code on the Adobe help pages and it causes the movement of the accordion to bounce... which is great... but my problem is populating the accordion with the data.

View 14 RepliesI recently made a flash banner that changes frames when you click the next frame and last frame buttons, and it also goes to the next frame on a timer. The thing is, I need the timer to go back to it's starting point when you click one of the buttons, so you don't end up seeing a frame for 2 seconds. Initially, the timer starts at 7 seconds, and when you click a button, I'd like it to go back to 7 seconds. Here's my .FLA file:[URL]
Also, whenever the banner goes through all of the frames and comes back to the first frame with the buttons, the first frame next_btn stops working for some reason.

Question is: what code should I write to make my Accordion's panes switching animated?
(Like in Adobe's demo called Tour de Flex)
To see what I mean by animated switching between panes:

2) select Other Components -> Containers -> Super Accordion in the left pane
3) click on Super Accordion's pane headers and see them moving
i have to make a accordion menu for a client and i have never used the accordion component. is that the best way to go about it or is there another way that is easier and nicer looking?

View 5 RepliesI am a student working on a project with flash. I am simply trying to make a flash game using Actionscript 3 in Adobe Flash CS5. Everything is working fine, i can walk and jump, but I want the game to restart if the Main character touches an object and dies (like spikes in a pit). I have a main menu in frame 1 and the first level on frame 2. The main character is called "player_mc" and the object that kills him is called "dies".

I have an xml with an xml-schema. The xml-schema defines an abstract complex type with 2 optional attributes that have default values. Then I have several complex types that extend the base one. And finally nodes of the types defined.So I load the xml and when I parse each node, the optional attributes are not present at all.I've tried fooling around with the namespaces, even[code]...
No luck. Something similar was being experienced by this guy on codingforums, but that was like 5 years ago. Same is happening to me with firefox 3.0.11 - the xml is shown without the default attributes.For now I'm setting the default values in code, but isn't there a way to make them available from the xml-schema?[code]...

Having some strange problems with masks in FMX 04: We're developing an accordion style interface. The problem is that buttons and images/mcs that are outside the "masked area" of each module are somehow clickable, or are "invisibly" pushing other content up/down. So basically the buttons/mcs are hidden, but Flash is still seeing them somehow. Is this normal mask behavior? Is there a solution besides setting the button to _visible = false? This is effecting my interface in other ways as well.

I want to make a reset/restart button using "Enter" and it worked before.. but i realised that once you press it the background has moved so you cant see the menu screen..
With out getting into a ton of background I am wondering if there is a command that will reset all the variables in a swf at once with out having to do them individually?
I've googled and searched my books and can't find anything. Another option I could see is having the current flash reload, that would set everything back to the start but I couldn't find how to do that either.
