ActionScript 3.0 :: Flash Not Carrying On Function After Another Key Is Pressed?

I have a character where if I press left/right/up/down he plays the associated animation, however, if I hold left, and then tap another key (whilst still holding the left key) the animation stops, even though the left key is still being pressed.

I am attempting to capture a 1920x1080 webcam capture and create a new bitmap with the capture. I feel like I have all the dimension settings correct but the final 1920x1080 bitmap only contains a small 320x240 version of the video capture. Help!

it uses variables to control the enemies._X and ._y. so enemy._x = enemyxvalue.when the player pushes a button to goto the next frame, the enemy from the first frame seems to carry over from the first into the second frame, even tho a new instance of it is there, how do I unload this enemy so it does not carry over and become glitchy?also I am using the same enemy clip in the next frame, just want to "reset" it after unloading the first frame version.

I am working on actionscript to generate a SWF dynamically using JSON data coming from an HTTP request. I receive the data on creationComplete and try to generate a tree like structure. I don't create the whole tree at the same time. I create 2 levels, level 1 and level 2. My goal is to attach custom events on the panels which represent tree nodes. When users click the panels, it dispatches custom events and try to generate the next level.

So, it goes like this :
On creation complete -> get JSON-> create top tow levels -> click on level 2-> create the level 2 and level 3 -> click on level 3-> create level 3 and 4. and so on and so on. I am attaching my code with this email. How to do this if you need to paint a tree having
total level number = "n" where n = 0 to 100
Should I carry the data around in CustomPageClickEvent class.

What I have is a series of buttons created via attachmovie based on XML nodes. I want to make sure all buttons are all clicked. What I have below is the onRelease of the button and I need to put my checkDone function in there because of the XML onLoad function. What I am struggling with is how to check if each has been clicked. Typically I would just do like but1==true but that does not seem to work.

I have a function with the name "result". It's two textfields where you can input some data. I have an addEventListener with a mouse Click to that function. So when I click on my button It starts the function. But I want to call the same function when you press the enter key. So the result will be the same no matter if you click on the button or just press the enter key. This is what I have tried but It doesn't work. I guess I should write my function name "result" somewhere.

I have a function on root:

This causes a mc to fade in and out on rollover/rollout. But what I wanna make is a box that fades in when pressed on the button and fade out when pressed for the second time. But if I say

on (press){
_root.fade = true;
}

the mc fades in, but I cant do another on (press) to fade out. Is this too confusing?

I am struggling a bit with keys on the keyboards controlling a movieclip to happen.Ive got a person moving when pressing right and left, and a movieclip with three frames: First frame is a movieclip with the person standing still, looking bored. The second frame is the person moving right, and the third frame is the person moving left.This is the code that Ive inserted into the persons actions on scene1:

this code works alright accept that when the keys are not pressed it doesnt stand still, the legs are still moving, so I tried to include this code aswell:

if (!Key.isDown(KEY.RIGHT)) [code]....this makes the person standing still when not pressed but not moving the legs when turning right and left.

AS3 :: Flash - Print The Name Of A Pressed Key?

Does AS3 have a way to output the physical name of a key that has been pressed? (ie. "You pressed: Left Arrow")

The obvious solution is to convert the character code to a string, but this only works for things like the alphanumeric keys. Ctrl, Alt, etc have special cases, but this still doesn't help for things like the arrow keys or the F-keys.

Another possibly naive option is to have a Key, Value pair for all the keycodes and their names. It should be almost trivial (if tedious) to code this myself, but since AIR already has things like

KEYNAME_LEFTARROW : String = "Left"

I was wondering if this ability is already built in somewhere without having to keep my own collection of strings.

Not a javascript based html window or html browser window, but a window that is in the flash movie that is entirely flash based. I looked all over the internet and can't seem to find anything on this, and can't find anything on this board either. I am new to flash and actionscripting in general. I would also like to use the Tweener external class, or the flash tween class would work too.

I noticed this before. Sometimes in some browsers with flash camera dialog you won't be able to press ALLOW button to access camera, microphone. The issue is already exposed over here Can't click allow button in flash on firefox and Adobe is tracking issue about this bug [URL]

The purposed solution sometimes works but also not always. The other workaround I wound on web is to set the margin-left and margin-right CSS in flash container like this:

margin-left: 0.5px;
margin-right: auto;

Well now the OS X Lion came out and the damn thing doesn't work in any browser! I even tried the Facebook profile photo taker which also uses flash for taking photos. Also there you cant press ALLOW button. Same with YouTube video recorder etc...

Basically the shootKey will be hold down by the player almost all the time. And the changeColorKey will be pressed very often but not hold down. While testing I noted that holding the shootKey and the right arrow down, the onKeyUp events for the changeColorKey don't get fired. Holding the up or down arrow key instead of the right arrow has the same effect. If I hold the left arrow key the events get fired. Why does it occour? Is there something wrong with my code?

I configured Up and Over state for each button.

how can I configure that one the button is clicked, the look of the button will change to the look i configured in Over state.

Each state contains a different image.

Is there a way to change the look of the button to the look it configured in it's different states using Action Script?

Flash Does Not Exit Fullscreen Mode When Escape Key Is Pressed?

I have a flash app that switches to full screen mode, but I cannot get it to leave fullscreen mode with the escape key!
 
I am using player version 10,0,2,54.
 
I have also gone to sites where the fullscreen mode is demo'd and I cannot exit out of fullscreen mode with the escape key there as well.
 
Is this a known bug in player 10?
