I am having problems to load external swf using tween. Just starting with as3 and found a tutorial with 3 buttons, however my main movie needs to have 5.
When I press the second button I get error 2025 and when I press the rest of the buttons the page appears but the previous one stays too.

So this .swf is so display Contact Us information loaded externally from a .txt and will automatically refreshed when the source file is edited. Used to work but then it automatically changed fonts (for some reason) and then refused to show the text. I put traces at the end of the tween, on rollOver, on rollOut and on the URLRequest and everything is coming back positive. There are no debug errors either..
This is a strange glitch..

I am using System.security.allowDomain in both files.The tween in movie2 fails to work when the swf loads from an external domain. However, it works perfectly when this swf is loaded locally. Also strange is that the movie2 tween does work externally if the tween libraries are commented out of movie1.The Challenge: Get both the red and blue boxes to fall when movie2.swf is loaded from an external domain.[code]

I'm loading an xml image into an empty movie clip, however, I want that now occupied movie clip to move along the x axis. But any tweening of the initial empty movie clip returns no animation, just the new photo sitting there.
View 2 RepliesI have a movieclip clip that plays when the movie starts, the movieclip is a visual assets that show's that the application is loading some information but it's not showing any loading progress, just playing while the assets are loaded.I created a for loop that will load the assets using a simple loader, and then when the object is loaded the application push the object to an array.Problem is that when the loading starts all the animation that i have on screen stops until the loading is finished.The whole point is that the animation will play while it's loading.

In my main.fla, I have a code which loads the other two files. [FMX] I am having trouble loading an XML file on an external server into my flash movie when it is uploaded. The data loads in fine when the flash file is on my local computer with the xml file on a server. As soon as the flash file is uploaded the XML data will not load in.

I have created a main "site.swf" file that loads a "default.swf" file into a container after a preloader. On this default.swf file I have buttons that needs to load new external SWF files in its place in the container. All of the external SWFs contain buttons and navigations that will also call up other external SWFs into this container. So, I would like to know how to program each button (some are movieclips as buttons) to unload itself and load the respective SWF into the container (eg. AboutUsButton to call up aboutus.swf into the container). I do not have a main navigation on the site.swf file bacause the navigation changes on each SWF that needs to be loaded into the container.

I've made a movie clip which goes from 0 opacity to 100%, it starts when i click a button. Then i've got a text field in which external text loads. I need the text to laod when the movie clip's opacity is at 100%. How do i do that?

I'm having trouble with this code. My external swf is loading fine, it's the alpha tween that does not seem to be responding. I thought if I tween the holder movie clip that would affect the imported swf but it's not working.

I have a gallery with tween effect which allows the photos to change size.
However, after loaded photos work but i can't unload it!
If i change the 1 to _mc, it's able to unload but then tween won't work.
Feels like i am missing something basic and it's driving me mad.[code]...
I'm loading a external swf into a movie everything is fine with that. The only problem is that its loading only a part of it. Does anybody know why? Also, this swf is a mp3 player with streaming. [URL]/img/20042005113934movie3.swf ) My Loading Progress code fails to detect the SWF file size. However the same code works perfectly for a JPG! Essentially the .getBytesLoaded() and .getBytesTotal fail to work. Why is this and how can I get it to work for loading SWFs?

Specifically, I am building a flash page that loads external swf files and inside some of the external swf files, I would like to add audio and flash video (flv) streaming from the Flaash Media Server. In some of the external swf files, (using a FLVPlayback component) when you press a button on the main timeline to unload the current playing swf the audio/video continues to play after loading the new external swf file.So I believe that my approach is all wrong and I should be working to dynamically load the .mp3 and.flvs in the external swf ... my questiion is how to unload those assets when loading the new external swf

seems loader class can not access sub.swf's external class when sub is being loaded.

I'm loading an XML file with a series of pictures. The pictures cycle through on a timer of about 3 seconds. The pictures load with an alpha of 0 and there is a tween to fade them in. The problem I'm having is trying to tween them back out to a value of 0. (My function fadeOut never fires (no trace))

Obviously, mySlide.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, transitionComplete) doesn't work. I've tried including the name of the instance of tween too but no dice. I could write my own event within the animation class and dispatch it via another function but there must be a more elegant solution?
I created a site using Kirupa's external .swf loading tutorial. Now in one of my externally loaded .swf's, I am loading another external .swf. I've gotten this to work fine, but the second external .swf (loaded into the first) contains buttons that will swap this second external .swf with another external .swf. I can't seem to get the AS references to the variables set up correctly in order to swap the swf's. The initial .swf loads fine, but the button control gets complicated inside it. It sounds rather confusing, so I've included a link to the .fla's and .swf's below.

View 3 RepliesIf you take a look at [URL] you see I created a timeline motion tween on the blue transparent image. Now I want to load this image via actionscript and follow the exact guidelines I gave there.
This is what I use in AS3:

It does load the image, however it does not place it in the imageLoader I created in Flash (yes I gave it an instance name). This is the error I get (i.e. it doesn't access the imageLoader). It does when I put it in the first frame on the timeline, but then it doesn't follow the guidelines I gave in the timeline.
