ActionScript 3.0 :: Moving Forward Only After Certain Frames Viewed?

I have a Flash Movie that is using Actionscript 3.0 and I have a part of it, where the user has three choices of where to go. Once they go to one, it takes them to a certain frame, then returns to the choice frame. There are three choices here, and what I want to happen is have a button appear to move them past this section, only after they have viewed all three choices.

I have a site where I want to restrict the user from moving forward unless they have visited certain pages. So if you visit page 1, 2, & 3, then a button appears that lets you move forward. I have this working using buttons. See Example: boolean.zip

However what I need to have happen, is instead of having it check to see if you visited the page by clicking a button, I would like it to check if you visited a frame just be going to that frame. I am not sure how to do that.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Skip Forward/backward 2 Frames Instead Of One?

how to make my "animation" (more of an interactive slideshow) skip forwards and backwards by two frames rather than one.

Each frame's action starts with stop(); and I know how you can implement the Action script to register keystrokes, the problem is I can't get how to jump by 2 rather than 1 frame at a time.

It would be preferable not to have to use gotoAndStop(#); on every 2nd frame as I have over 350+ frames.

I am curious if there is something to how preloaders like this work. Does each animation happen after a certain precent is loaded (in this example, when the squares turn green) or are they just animations that have nothing to do with the actual preloading?

I have been tasked with making this happen [URL] - What Ive done is take out footage and include keyframes for each frame (cue points on every frame), which i read helps with scrubbing... and it does. however using an invisible scrubber bar (seekbar) just isnt smoooth enough... So i was wondering if I could register an eventListener on the mouse and when it moved forward, jump x frames/time forward in the flv clip.

I would like to control the embedded video by advancing the playhead forward and /or backward by increments > 1 frame. I have tried:

I enabled Simple Buttons and clicked on the buttons containing the AS; they are not functioning. Although, the play, stop, goto first and last frame buttons work. I am perplexed. I have tried creating a new .fla file with a different .wmv, and the failure to function persists.

I've got these 3 separate animations moving forward and backward based on simple rollover interaction. It all works and all is well with the world, but I know this can be done in a more efficient manner. Instead of duplicating all the functions with different numbered versions of their name, how can I group this stuff together and call it once? Just curious as I'd like to be more efficient with things like this moving forward.

i've made a game with 2 view so i need to be able to switch between them during it. Instead of making a goto frame 7 on the button on one frame for example and then a goto frame 8 on button on the next frame is there a way i could just put go forward 40 frames for example and apply that to the button on each frame, so on frame 1 the button would take u to frame 41 and on frame 3 it would take u to frame 43.furthermore, is there a way i could make it go back say 40 frames to switch the view back?

Moving An Object In Multiple Frames

I'm new to Flash and just started working on an animated short. In one of the sequences, I realized too late that an object was too far left in the frame and needed to be moved back. Is there a way to do that in all of the keyframes at once rather than doing it one at a time? The thing that needs to be moved is a .png file, not a symbol.

I have an interactive story divided into scenes. At the end of each scene a button appears. This occurs on a frame on the timeline.
 
There are two different buttons that might appear based on whether a prior scene has been viewed or not.
 
For example, there are Scene_1 and Scene_2. At the end of Scene_2 one of two buttons will appear. The buttons will be either "Go see Scene_1" or "Return to Main Menu".
 
If the user has already seen Scene_1, Flash will know that and automatically go to the frame in Scene_2 that contains the button "Return to Main Menu".
 
Conversely, if the user has not seen Scene_1, Flash will know and automatically go to the frame in Scene_2 that contains the button "Go see Scene_1".
 
I imagine there would be an action frame at the end of Scene_2 that will contain the as2 code to enable this action.
 
Perhaps something like, but probably not at all like the following:
 
if ("Scene_1", last frame == true){gotoAndPlay("frame#");}else{gotoAndPlay("frame#");}

I am trying to step from AS2 to AS3, not that easy.. I got to this point with a simple 3 frames movieclip. Frame 1 gives the option of loading 2 different external swf, frame 2 load directly a 3rd external swf, frame 3 nuttin happen. I am getting the following error message:
"TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
at fl.containers::ScrollPane/endDrag()"

The problem occurs when I like this: I click a button on the Main Frame which takes me to frame #2. I go back to the Main Frame and then come back to the frame #2. When I go to Frame #2. I get the error message. I suspect the problem is occurring because I am not emptying the "scrollPane_1" component on exit. In the code below scrollPane_1 is a scroll pane component. This is occurring on all pages that I have the scroll pane on. Also the scroll pane component is on stage and has an instance name of "scrollPane_1".

This is an Air for iOS file. Here's the code.

after 1 min 51s move to frame 4

I developed a website using flash with Actionscript 3. I included a music as a background for the website and the music will loaded when the site loaded. But the problem that when I click buttons to move between pages(frames) then go and click button_01 the music will play again so I will have music playing more than one time in the background and the sound_btn will not work any more so even I click sound_btn the music will not stop. The code I'm using is listed down. What I should modify to not allow the music play more than one time in the background while moving from one page(frame) to another.

Problem is that my rewind and fast forward buttons do not work properly in the sense that they start to mess up when you fast forward or rewind past the current scene. When I opened up my licensed CS3, and tried to open the projects I created in CS4, they didn't open.I don't understand why Adobe would do this, unless they didn't, ? NavigateToURL Not Firing When Site Viewed On Mac

I am simply trying to link a button on my site to another webpage (an online store). The site is currently live at Higdon Florist (won't let me put the dot com address due to forum rules) The last 2 menu options (View Bouquets and Place Order) should link to (store dot higdon florist)

On PC, this works just fine every time.

However, I have reports that Mac users have trouble. The action never fires on the first 4 or 5 tries. Then, suddenly, it begins to work (and continues to work thereafter).

how do I store and retrieve rather large multi-lined texts blocks that contain hard returns in a url or embed code?

Hah, yeah, probably a ridiculous request but this is used in a flash/custom BBcode partnership. The idea being that the user posts on the bulletin board and wraps their text in [customtag][/customtag]. It spits that information out as an embed code with the text stored as a variable that calls the flash applet and displays their post in a fancy way. This is for a browser based game so it's basically for admin's to post RP style messages.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Go To Previously Viewed Page?

I am creating an ebrochure, where in my timeline i have three layers: top bar (for my glossary and help buttons), nav bar (with my prev and next buttons) and the pages of the brochure.

The pages consist of each frame having a movieclip for that page, so frame one has page one movieclip, etc... and are all individual frames.

The top bar layer spans the entire set of page frames (14) as does the nav bar, but I have the glossary and help on frames after the pages end. What I am trying to do is that when someone clicks to go to the glossary from where ever they currently are, the prev button on the nav bar that is over the glossary page can take me back to the last page I was on. So, if on page 4 and click to go to glossary, prev takes me back to page 4. But if i am on page 7, prev takes me back to page 7.
