ActionScript 3.0 :: Object Loader Loaded And Not Loading

I loaded 5 JPG's into specific locations of an array via the URLRequest. So now when I trace my array:

THE PROBLEM: when I scan getXMLlinksArray and see that its NOT null, and i try to addChil to xmlImgHolder and then to spriteHolderArray, I just get a blank space. The debuger is showing that spriteHolderArray contains some loader info and the appropriate URL up until I load it with the existing loader from getXMLlinksArray. Then it says it doesn't have any conentedLoadedInfo.

I have a site loading a large number of thumbs and even a video at the top. Every once in a while the loader object gets stuck. I have an EVENT.COMPLETE on it and it doesn't appear to get called.
Any help? This appears to happen primarily on the first time loading. I am using Safari on Mac for the browser as well, if this makes a difference

Is there a way to check whether a loader object is in the process of loading something? I need to create an if statement that checks if the loader has an open connection. So far, what I thought of is:
ActionScript Code:
if(loaderInstanceName.contentLoaderInfo.bytesLoaded > 0)
{
// do something
}
Here, I'm just assuming that if bytesLoaded is greater than 0, than it's probably loading something. But I don't think it will revert back to 0 after the loader finishes loading an external resource. So after that, bytesLoaded will always be greater than 0 even though it isn't in the process of loading anything. Is there any other property that I can use which says whether the loader object has an open connection?

I'm loading a .jpg into an object, and what I'm trying to do is load that same .jpg into another object later on in the script without requesting it to be downloaded (since it should already be in memory). Here is an example of what I'm using:

I'm working on a class to track the loading of N objects.In order to do that, I Use a class called Advenced Loader inheriting from flash.display.Loader.I want to be able to listen to the ProgressEvent.PROGRESS but instead of receiving how many bytes have been loaded so far, I want to know how many byes have been loaded since the last PROGRESS event.So, I have the bytesPerProgress property inside the AdvancedLoader class which listens to its contentLoaderInfo object to calculates the bytesPerProgress.Then, inside another class which uses the AdvencedLoader I could do that:[code]
That's where I get an error #2099. It seems that I can't access the Loader instance only until after it completed the loading proccess.What I really need here is (if I could) to change the contentInfoLoader. loader to reference to my AdvancedLoader class instead of the Loader interface which doesn't include my new bytesPerProgress (implicit getter).What I could have done instead is to listen to the PROGRESS event inside the AdvancedLoader and then dispatch new PROGRESS event from within the AdvancedLoader. That's not quite what I thought it would be like, but I can't think of anything else since the contentLoaderInfo is an implicit getter (read only).

having trouble removing loaded child object b4 loading a new one i can load a child object with this script if button is pressed:

but having difficulty unloading child object when just that mc_char.btn_darkangel button is pressed. Cause otherwise it just adds another instance then another and another and the different instances kinda pile ontop of each other my question is how can i incorporate removeChild script so that mc_char.btn_darkangel doesn't just pile instances of image ontop of each other

Sorry for the complicated topic. I got a .swf that loads in other .swfs. Rather than figuring out how to make a loader for loading .swfs I thought I'd just use a simple loader in the .swf I'm loading.
However, it doesn't work. It starts fully loaded but doesn't finish. Heres the AS:[AS]_root.stop();

So I have this Photo class than handles loading a pic, and dispatches an event when the loading is done with:[code]which is simple and works, but now I'd like to make something more advanced. I'd like to dispatch the load ratio.So far I have extended the Event class, with my own EventRatio class, and I can put properties on that class. Which is cool, but I need something more dynamic than just sending a fixed value.So, what is the best way to connect the Loader object of the Photo object, with the EventRatio object?

I want to have an AS3 app load images from url supplied by the user. But I don't want a malicious user to be able to load an SWF file in place of the image, such as with an altered extension "maliciousSwf.png". Well, not sure how big a security threat that is above and beyond the ability of the hacker to decompile swf, but I think that ideally such behavior should not be allowed.
So, is there any way to prevent this? When people allow users to load images in their Flash apps, do they somehow guard against loading of SWF? Or is this really absolutely no big deal?

I am using the Loader class to load images into a photo gallery. When a user navigates to the next image in the gallery, I need to unload the Loader using the "unload" method and then load the next image.The code for this is simply:
myLoader.unload();
myLoader.load(new URLRequest(url...));
My question is if there is someway to determine if a Loader is already loaded? That is, I don't need to unload the Loader if nothing has been loaded so I am wondering if there is some sort of conditional statement I could use to control when the unload method is used.

I am unable to debug a swf (Test.swf) loaded with Loader (from TestLoader.swf) if Test.swf imports a class from another swf (OneLoop.swf).If I set breakpoints in Test.swf, they will not be hit when debugging TestLoader.swf.I have attached a Test.zip file which contains the necessary FLA and AS files to demonstrate the bug. I am trying to make this website, which has separate files for different screen resolutions. I am using a first.swf file to load the right file, depending on the screen resolution, it goes to a different frame for diff resolutions. There I have placed a loadMovie function.The code for the loader follows the loadMovie call. loadingbar is a movieclip on screen, which presently does nothing.[code]This was displaying nothing, so I replaced the _root.loadMovie with mcholder.loadMovie("filename.swf"). This is not working either, the screen flashes for one second and then disappears. I put a stop(); before the code, and the screen remained, but the movie still did not load.I txt1.text shows 100. meaning percentage did reach hundred, but I am guessing that is for first.swf, and not for the file which is being loaded.
