ActionScript 3.0 :: Pinch / Zoom On Entire Browser Window?

Oct 20, 2011

I know I can use the Multitouch capabilities in AS3 to recognize pinch/zoom gestures etc., which I can use to zoom in on object in my movie. Can I set it up differently, so pinch/zoom effects the entire browser window? Basically treat a pinch zoom in flash as if they did it somewhere in the browser. For example I'm testing a flash animation on a droid tablet. When the html page loads, I can pinch zoom on the flash object as if it's not even there. But after I've "clicked into" the flash object to interact with it, pinch/zoom no longer does anything.

I am trying to achieve a pinch zoom effect on an image dynamically added to the stage via actionscript.

the images natural size is 2048x and onload is scaled to 1024x

when the pinch zoom is performed it calls the function below.

the problem i am trying to solve (and have tried numerous things) is to ONLY have the image scale between the two sizes as mentioned above.

scale between 1024x and 2048x and not go larger or smaller than.

Javascript :: Android: Disable Pinch Zoom And Pass Event To Flash Content

Apr 14, 2011

I have a flash application written in actionscript 2.0 that shows vector architectural maps and works perfectly on common web browsers. There are many interactions with javascript functions called by user events on the webpage, such as zooming to a certain x,y point. This event is usually accomplished via the mouse wheel.

Now I have to make sure that the thing works on tablet pc, in particular the Galaxy Tab. The first thing I have to fix is that, obviously, there is no mouse wheel and the user naturally tries to pinch zoom the flash application, with the result of zooming the entire web browser.

What I need is to listen to the multitouch gesture and, when a pinch zoom event is called, disable the default zooming event and call a javascript/flash function that allows my flash app to zoom only the objects that need to be zoomed: in few words, the browser stays still and only a part of the flash zooms in or out.

I already have working javascript functions to call flash object functions for the zooming purpose, so I just need to connect them to some android things that tell me when the user tries to pinch zoom in and when he tries to pinch zoom out (and possibly the x,y point of zoom).

ActionScript 3.0 :: Make A Zoom Method For Entire Flash Movie?

May 19, 2011

I'm in the process of making complicated multiplayer games and i want to make a 'zoom in-scroller' feature (simply to give the illusion of a bigger world where i can put more stuff in it). What I need is the equivilent of launching your .swf, right clicking on the stage, and "zoom in" (but obviously in actionscript code).

I've been searching online for the solution and all i can find is a bunch of noobs describing how to zoom in on a movieclip, but they arent really zooming at all, they're just blowing up and shrinking the individual movieclips.

The biggest problem with this of course is when i add objects to the stage, thier (x, y) spawn dosent scale with the stage.scaleX, so the placement spirals the game out of control.Anyways, my stage is a 1200x by 600y dimension; the stage has player movieclip (var player1) with assosiated move functions (W A S D controls). I need a zoomed in interface centered on the moving player (lets just say a 600x by 300y box). And finally this zoom-in should not affect anything going on in the original 1200x600 stage, such as spawn locations, collision detections and so on.

Make Flash Movie Fill Entire Browser?

I have tried everything to get my Flash movie to completely fill the browser but to no avail. I have made the dimensions 100% w + h as well as making all the margins 0 px. Am I missing something as when I compare my HTML source code it seems the same as others but the result is with me having white borders around the published file.

Here is the link for the source code.

ActionScript 2.0 :: [FMX] Make A Website Fall Asleep When The Focus Is Shifted Away From The Entire Window

May 5, 2004

I was wondering if its possible to make a website fall asleep when the focus is shifted away from the entire window.... so something like onBlur. I've seen this on a few websites and I got thinking how they did it. I'm guessing they have some kind of JavaScript code in their HTML page that can detect an onBlur or killFocus or whatever you call it - then the flash movie picks up on this and takes the appropriate action - like pauses a movie or displays a message "please come back" or things to that effect.

EXAMPLE: Go to [URL] and go to the WANDER AWAY section and click his links. Provided you have enough "money" (you can earn "money" by navigating around) you'll be taken to pixel ranger etc. Now click on the [URL] window and you'll see its been greyed out and is "asleep". You have to click the movie to awaken the site.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Flash Browser Back Button Reloads Entire Movie - Shared Object?

Dec 10, 2010

I have trailed through endless forums and tried adding all the various codes.I have a movie that is embedded within a php page. The movie starts with an animation and at the end, an image emerges with buttons. The image that emerges is actually an xml run slideshow but I don't want to complicate it with this bit of information if it is not relevant. So the film stops there and the buttons remain with a changing background.

I would like to make it skip to the end frame if it has been played before, if someone returns to the page, so that the user doesn't have to watch the entire movie to get to the buttons.I have tried adding this to the first scene however it is pretty temperamental:

var myCookie:SharedObject = SharedObject.getLocal("checkFirstVisit");

This does not happen on any other platform.I would have though that this zoom function would be something that is taken care of solely by the browser/Flash plugin, however, perhaps there is something I can do to force a 'redraw'?
