ActionScript 3.0 :: Slight Delay In Button Sounds During Sound Stream?

I have some sounds on buttons:

... and that works fine. I then have some streaming music:

... and that works fine too. Now, however, the initial button sounds have a slight delay -- I'd estimate about 150-250 ms. It's enough that rollover click noises happen about the time you click, and click noises happen about the time you release, etc. Now, here's the KICKER. It only happens in FIREFOX. CURSE FIREFOX. Seriously. I've been having so many Flash issues in FF3, it just drives me nuts. Firefox and wmode is a pain, Firefox and sound is a pain, Firefox has been crap for Flash development lately.

I followed the mp3player tutorial (part 3) from [URL] and got it working fine. Only problem is that the setVolume I'm trying to use with my music is affecting all my other sounds - button sounds and background sound. I'm aware of the createEmptyMovieClip/attachSound approach and got it working on my other sounds. But Lee's tutorial-mp3player is using a slight different technique, and so my normal approach doesn't quite work.

I have made this little thing, its more or less just to try out some basic scripting, its a button that you would push and when you do so it would play a random sound out of six different sounds, and it does all that, but it delays the sound, so it has a short delay, does anyone know how to fix this? ask:i want to create an audio sequence.there are 8 predefined sound-starting-points in the timeline.for each starting-point, the user can select wich sound is played (dropdown menu).when the user made his choice for all the 8 bars.actionscript should gather this information and create a fluid sequence of these 8 sounds.then there will be a "play" button available for the user to start the sequence.the sounds don't have to be synced to a button or so.there is time for actionscript to put the sequence together.problem:when i put two sounds directly one after another in a movieclip, there is no delay between the sounds, which is exactly what i want, but i can not control which sound is played through actionscript.when i use actionscript, there is a delay between the sounds.here is what i tried with as.this is placed in the frame where sound2 should start

I'm following the complex button tutorial (http:ur....), though I'm trying to alter it a bit so that I can have an animating movie inside the movieclip, but be able to use another movieclip (or button or whatever) to define the size of the first, since the first is so big just about any movement on the stage triggers its movement.

I am building a small quiz in flash, where the user gets a question and 3 answers, that is both shown in text and read as external sound (mp3). I am calling a function to show and read the next answers when the first answer has been read. The text is shown immidately but the sound takes around 6-7 secs. to load......(and it is only 60 kb) how can I avoid this?
My function looks something like this

I need to realize a multiple-track player. The user can upload multiple tracks and mix (play them together). My problem is to allow the user to define an exact start position of each track to allow a synchronization between them, something like this:
Track 1: start at [x] sec.
Track 2: start at [y] sec.
play/stop
where the user can set the x and y. I've tried to realize it with AS2 (using netstream and setInterval) and AS3 (using netstream or sound and timer). Only if I set the same x and y both tracks are playing simultaneously.

I have a layout with narration and a nav bar. When I click a nav button for section 2, the audio from section 1 (set to stream) continues to play over the audio for section 2. This cumulates so if I click buttons for sections 3, 4 and 5, I get five audio files playing on top of each other. Sections are individual movie clips with embedded audio streaming on a Sounds layer in each movie clip.

I have a long timeline (5000+ frames) with cartoon animation and streaming dialogue sound on it. I've run into the dreaded audio sync problem. I found many discussions, peaking around 2005, but no solutions for this problem. I have a track of silence to ensure frame-dropping even between lines of dialogue. Prior to around 2000 frames the error is not noticeable.
My testing shows that playback is off by 2 frames per 1000 at 24fps. So at frame 10,000 the audio is out of sync with the graphics by 20 frames, nearly a second. This is predictable and reproducible on a variety of PCs and an iMac. I'm publishing to Flash 8 + AS2, but publishing to Flash 9 or Flash 10 don't make any difference at all.
I don't want to split this into multiple SWFs. Scenes don't help. Putting things into multiple movieclips would complicate my controls and our workflow. Just shifting the audio on the timeline is preferable to those solutions, but it makes maintenance difficult.

I have a broadcasting project that I've got where the host of the show can have multiple sound effects they can use on their show.I'm wondering if the only way to go about this is for all the clients listening to the show need to download the mp3 of that sound effect or if the sound effect could come from the host ...like combining his mic (for his voice) but also straight audio (the sound effect) into the stream.

I use FMS 3.5 and i have same problem.....the delay of live video from the studio to clients is big, 10 seconds if i restart the server. After one day of staying on, the delay reaches 1 minute or 2.
The FMS is connected to 1 Gibabyte internet fiber, and the stream is VP6, 500kbps video and 128kbps audio, 720x576 resolution. Server Quad 3.0Ghz, 4 Gb Ram.
Please help me to minimize the delay. What i must write in application.xml from live folder?????? Is there a command. I don't want to make buffer, i want the clients to receive live stream, if the stream is buffering i want to play it jumping that sequence, to maintain the live aspect,not to delay it if the clients doesn't have a good internet conection.
Let's suppose i have 1 FMS, 1 Media Encoder, and 2 computers with flash player on the same Switch ( Local area Network). I've made some tests and the delay i get is minimum 5 seconds.

I have imported my wav files to my library added them to the down state of my buttons and when I test the file I get (Sound has no valid device sound path although exporting device sounds was requested in the export settings. This sound will be ignored.) I have been surching for an answer but as of yet have found none.

What I have is a landing page on my customers site, I want to hold it there until the user clicks a button in the flash file it then plays a short sound, 2 seconds and redirects the page. I have tried setinterval and cannot get it to work. What I have loads the flash file and after the set time plays the file then redirects, cutting off the sound.

I've got a couple of classes.
My document class (Main.as) instantiates the class player and Soundsloader.
In the player class when the player picks up an item in the game, i want to play a short sound. I do this with the following code: MovieClip(this.main_object.sound_loader).playPickUp();
In my document class i also instantiate the SoundsLoader which basically should load all the sounds. (just one in my sample code below)

I've done the getting the time right bit and the ticking bit, but big problem arises with the background music. It's different every second, and what I want is that is it's launched at, say 19:00:00 the music will start at 00 seconds, if it's launched at 19:00:22 - at 22 seconds, at 19:00:45 - at 45 seconds etc. So far I have no idea how to do it, I am a total newbie in Flash..

The first time around, the sound play's exactly on time, After that it has about a 30-60 millisecond delay to re play it again. if i wait about 20 seconds it will be able to play exactly on time again...? Im new to the sound class, but i don't think i have done anything wrong...my sound is imported to the library, exported for actionscript,i have tried:

simply put the sound on the timeline of a movieClip its all the same, in the play() method, i have tried start time of 0 or 1 or not at all, same with # of loops. i have tried to re-create the sound object each time its called, or have other sounds in the background, or create longer sounds. ive used mp3s,wavs, the audio file has no silence at the beginning of it.
this happens in the flash ide, or the published swf or on my phone using air for android settings, problem is on the phone its a larger delay i would say 60 to 150 milliseconds, otherwise it probably wouldn't be a problem. on my phone, using mrDoobs stats class i can actually see the frame rate drop from 30 to 25 back to 30 once that estimated 20 seconds is up and its "ready" to play on time again. Something happens after that 20 seconds that it clears up and it will play on time again. I dont know what to think
I re-created it in a regular non air/android swf and its the same issue, i attached it if anyone want to take a look. so hard to see the delay on a regular cpu as the response is good, but its there. click to make a noise, do it again once on the balls on the platform and you will see that tiny audio delay as the ball jumps. however wait 20 sec and it will be exact again.

As I have commented before I am building English teaching apps. I will have music playing in the background, words being pronounced and at times a surprise sentence. All three could sound at the same time at any given point. To build this properly should I use SoundChannel for all of these?
At the moment my code for the music loop is as so. The sound is in the library and exported for AS. Is this code fine or is it better to assign it to the SoundChannel class.

I made some sort of MP3 player based on an XML file, and I want to load the next track when pressed on a button. Well that part works, the problem is, when I play the next song, this is what happens:
- The next song plays
- The bar that is normally buffering is already full
- When I skip to a part of the song, it skips to the first song!
How can I "clear" a sound variable and load another one?

I've been suffering the fliction of making sounds playing synchronized in Flash, I load 4 mp3 files externally and once all of the 4 mp3 loaded completely, let them play, but they starts not at the same time, the files starts unsynchronized with a random manner, some times file a starts first, some times file c starts first, there are always files delay about 500ms, the wierd thing is, O only see it's running sync in one computer, in firefox browser, in IE not. Same problem like, we always experience the case that, when we click a music player button, the sound not starts immediately or click a stop button, the sound not end immediately.

I have an application in flash actionscript 2.0 that is running with several parts under each movieclips has an animation inside with a voice over. I'm having an issue with setting the volume on my sounds.
I have a number of movieclips, that when clicked on, play a sound. I have created an Event Handler for the movieclip, that when it is clicked on, the sound plays, but the setVolume is higher.
I also have background music, set a bit lower than the rest. Here's the issue, when I click on the movieclip that makes it's specific sounds go higher, the background music goes higher also.
How do I set the volume of my movieclip without it changing the volume of the other sound/s?
