ActionScript 3.0 :: Tracing Arrays - Only Traces The Latest One

I have two arrays arrscore and arrname i push the percentage to arrscore when the person has finished the quiz and the name to arrname. when the quiz is done once and i trace both of the arrays it's fine but when the quiz is done twice instead of giving all the results in the arrays it only traces the latest one.
I've started dabbling in switching out the context menu and adding other functionality to it.I tried creating a new ContextMenu and set it to the property of my stage. No go, it says Stage does not implement this method or property. Which is kind of bizarre since Stage inherits from InteractiveObject which does indeed have the contextMenu property.
So I tried to just trace out the contextMenu, and it returns null on whatever displayobject I try it on. A MovieClip, the stage itself etc..What am I doing wrong? In my world, and according to the documentation, I should be able to change the contextMenu.
I have an array of objects. What I would like to do is get the last index of an object whose property equals a certain value. Ex: // this occurs on a mouse click var stockObj:Object = new Object(); stockObj.ID = "an_id"; stockObj.category = "a_category"; array.push(stockObj); //psuedo trace(array.lastIndexOf(stockObj.category=="a_category")); I would like this to trace the index of the object whose category property equals "a_category"
I seem to be having trouble when I am nesting 3 arrays, var A_one:Array= []; var A_two:Array= []; var A_three:Array= [];
I then create a number of points and put them into array three, I do that with different groups of those groups of point and load a bunch of array threes into array twos and then I have 5 array twos and put them into array one, when I try to load a specific array three I create a variable array and do as such: current_A_three=A_one[2[tracker.trackNum]]; tracker.tracknum is a number based on which btn I am pressing
But when I trace the value of the current_A_three array I get the error ReferenceError: Error #1069: Property 1 not found on Number and there is no default value. at Function/<anonymous>() That is when I click btn one, if I clicked btn two I would get property 2, I tried playing aroudn with it, I did trace A_one[2] and did get the proper multiple arrays, but I need a spesific one.
i'm itterating thru an array of text field objects and tracing the selected focus field when pressing tab, as well as each object.i'm trying to equate these object, but while they trace the exact same they are not.

the first group traces the same, but apparently they do not match. Selection.getFocus() returns a string, while the array index is tracing the text field object. if i add toString() to the text field object it will trace as [Object object] how can i accomplish a match?
I place several empty movieclips dynamically on the main stage and load a picture in there with a adress derived from a xml file and some text also from the xml file. Then I add a event listner to the movieclip. On stage the image + text is correctly shown, but when I click the image it traces the name of image and not the name of the movieclip in which it is placed, I need the name of the movieclip because i want to tween the movieclip after it is clicked.

Flash builder traces out when swfs are loaded and unloaded eg: [SWF] C:xampphtdocscar_explorerfontsArial.swf - 174,937 bytes after decompression and [Unload SWF] C:xampphtdocscar_explorerassetsspinEXTERIORBASE_12.swf How to disable these types of traces?
I have a strange issue in an AS3 project I'm building. For some reason I am not receiving any traces from a specific class in my project. I can get traces from any other class though. I have a Main.as that loads several classes, one of which is IphoneScroller.as
Any reasons why I might not be getting traces? I'd also like to note that I have a container that has several control components as children. I pass the container to the iphoneScroller for scrolling and it works fine...until I click a numericstepper and the iphonescroller breaks. However, other controls like InputTextfields don't break the scoller. These issues are why I've been trying to do traces in the first place.

So, in the first line of code, it traces all keys within the object. Then in a similar loop, it triggers all the remove() functions of the instances, and then sets the instance to null. Strangely, as you can see in bold in the trace-results below, it tries pdf_hl twice? Does anybody have any clue why that is? The problem occurs in FireFox with Firebug/Flashbug and the Flash 10.2 debugger plugin.
I have a movieclip on the stage with 3 frames. Each frame has a stop(); in the actions layer. I have double (and triple and quadruple) checked the label names.There is a button to toggle between the three frames of the movie clip. A Frame 1 button, a Frame 2 button, and a Frame 3 button. The movie clip (there are lots of them) is then spawned with a mouse click. The movie clips are already declared at the beginng. They are not unlimited so I can just have a for loop go through all of them and change the frame number even before they are spawned and added to the display list.Frame 2 and Frame 3 work just fine. But the button to go to Frame 1 will display Frame 1 on all of the pieces that are already on the stage, but on all new pieces that will be spawned, it just displays whatever other button was pressed last. For instance if I have a movie clip on the stage that's displaying Frame 2 and I hit the buttom for Frame 1, the movie clip will switch to Frame 1. But if I spawn a new movie clip, it will display Frame 2. If I then click back on the Frame 2 button and then again to Frame 1, the movie clip will correct itself.
I can't find where on earth in the code it's going wrong. I've tried using traces but I can't find any problems or inconsistencies. Everywhere I put a trace to tell me what frame the object is at, it traces correctly. I'll click on Frame 1 button, then click on the stage, and it will trace to the output menu that the current spawned movie clip is on Frame 1 when it's very clearly displaying Frame 2.[code]
m working on an Adobe Flex application that loads lots of Flex Modules and other Flash sub-applications and Flash resources. Each time one successfully loads the flashlog.txt and Flex Console show a trace like "[SWF] filename.swf - [filesize] bytes after decompression". Specifically:[SWF] Main.swf - 1,361,299 bytes after decompression [SWF] core/Core.swf - 516,390 bytes after decompression
I don't want to disable traces because I am debugging, but these traces are rather noisy. How can I suppress only the [SWF] loaded traces?
I am attempting to build a xml driven drop down menu where everything is taken from xml. now the problem arises with submenues. I have them being created fine, but it's the mouse out that won't work. I want to use a hittest to check if my mouse is over any of the submenues and if not just to trace something so I know it's working.
The problem is when i mouse of one clip onto the next it fails the hittest and traces. There isn't a space between the two MC's so I dunno what would be causing this. I have read sen's guide but I'm not pulling things from the library. Everything is being created at run time so I can't use the attach movie, so I am just positioning them below each other.
I have an application which uses multiple packages of AS3 code and a main .fla file. Whenever I publish the main fla, my traces in the .as files don't show up in my output window. Any reason for this? an example would be:

I have developed a swf, lets call it "project.swf" which will require updating over time, so to avoid a user loading an old version I will name the files thus:"project1.swf", "project2.swf", "project3.swf" etc everytime a new version is published.
I load this file from a movie called "get_latest_version.swf", into which I hard code the latest version of "project.swf". Not very efficient at all!!So heres what I want to do: In "load_latest_version.swf" can I create a way of detecting the highest version number (newest version) and automatically loading that instead of always hard coding a new version number everytime I add a new feature?
I'm using this line of AS code to load in some text in a .txt file on my server:Code:myData.load("articles.txt");The problem is when I update the text in the .txt file, upload it to my server, and view my Flash movie, it doesn't load in the latest version of the .txt file that I just uploaded to the server, but an older version. It takes some time to be able to see the new .txt file through the Flash movie.Is this:-Because I need to change my Flash AS code somewhere to always load the latest version from the server (rather than look in the browser's cache)?
I have an issue in which outdated code removed long ago code in an actionscript 2 class sometimes gets executed. I can tell this in that the application fails and trace statements removed long ago gets logged to a console.The closest match I've come across is this post:Flash CS4 refuses to let goHere are the things I've triedI hI have searched an uncompressed debug-enabled version for the trace entry. Does anyone have a lot of experience with the different runtime debugger tools out there such as De MonsterDebugger? I'm looking for one that will map out the call stacks of different function calls within a tree structure. I couldn't tell if De MonsterDebugger does it, but it doesn't seem to. And I wasn't sure what other options are out there.

I have tried various codes (probably wrongly) and read different posts and failed to achieve what I am after. So to cut going round in circles I have just made a simple test folder. There are 3 things I am trying to achieve so that latest files are loaded instead of browser cached versions.
Everything is linked properly in the TEST folder (apart from the code to get latest non cached version)

The three things I want to achieve-
In the TEST.zip folder start with index.html.
1- There you will see >Enter Button< and >portfolio.pdf< button. Nothing will change on index.html page but the portfolio pdf will be regularly updated. So I want the >portfolio.pdf< to fetch the latest pdf always. I assume the code will go on the >portfolir.pdf< button?
2- >Enter Button< will take us to master.html page which contains master.swf. Master.html is only a container but master.swf will be regularly updated and needs to always load the latest master.swf version.
3- Load image.swf button will load image.swf. I want the button to load the latest image.swf file always.
I've got Flash CS5.5 and am trying to build a sample Away3D 4 model viewer. I must not have the latest api for fp11, because the compiler comes back with this:
"Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant: TextureBase"
The file "RendererBase.as" from the Away3D library is importing a number of files from the flash.display3D package (including TextureBase), which apparently I don't have.
I downloaded the latest debug version of flash player 11, what else do I have to do?
I've been scratching my head over this problem for two weeks now, trying to test (destroy) my router, internet connections, and flash apps to try and solve this problem. First of all, what I am trying to do: I've got a php socket server set up, and on localhost and lan connections with XMLSocket the server and flash clients work fine. But from the internet only some versions(or at least that is what I suspect) seem to connect. There is only one instance in which the connection worked, the client actually asked for a policy file... but I haven't been able to ask that guy's flash version yet. Is there anything different in the latest flash versions that prohibits XMLSocket from connecting to worldwide IPs?
Everything works in the IDE, but nothing works in the new player. It doesn't even give me an error, even though I'm supposedly running the Debug version. what adobe changed or how you are supposed to load external swf files now? I believe it's only 10.3.183.5 that is screwed up.
