ActionScript 3.0 :: UIloader Not Showing Up When Embedded On Html?
Sep 11, 2009
I uploaded an swf file, if I go into the file directly from file path, everything shows up fine. But when I tried to embed it on html, the UIloader wouldn't show up. I have no idea why that happens..
I made a flash mp3 player and it works fine in any other test pages. but when i embed it onto my site it just shows blank. what do i do? my site is [URL] and the flash player i tested here [URL] and it plays. What im i doing wrong? i tryed everything. right now i just got it in a iframe but i dont want that iframe.
I have an English based flash set that I'm localizing in Japanese. The client has written to embed the fonts in a font.swf. So I figured I can just add 'New Font' for Japanese fonts, add the class ID to the script file:
var font:LoadFont = new LoadFont('fonts.swf',['ArialRegular','ArialMedium', 'MSUIGothicReg', 'MSUIGothicBold']);
then export the fonts,swf, and launch the main.swf, JPN fonts should show up correctly. But instead, I get blanks for Japanese characters. Does anyone know what I missed? I've tried other methods: 1) add a layer in main file, 'Character Embedding' in Properties; 2) 'Character Embedding' each text boxes in main; none has worked.
I have a Flash CS4 movie that uses a standard Flash combobox. This works fine, as long as I don't use the resulting SWF embedded on a HTML page. When I do embed it, the combobox doesn't show up, doesn't dispatch mouse events, it's just as if it doesn't exist. However, if I switch to fullscreen, the combobox appears and functions normally, even if I switch back from fullscreen.
I have a dynamic text field that I would like to say "+250 Points". After embedding the fonts, it works fine with a normal font like Arial. But when I try to use a downloaded font, the text shows up with a vertical rectangle instead of a plus sign (mytextField.text = "+250 Points"; ).The font that I'm using (Arcade Classic) has a plus sign character that I can type in to the field in Flash, but AS3 won't cut it. This is after selecting All glyphs and putting in + on the extra characters to embed.
I have a series of dynamic text fields that do not show text when published. The fonts for these text fields are embedded and I do not get any errors on publishing. The project worked perfectly in CS4, but now in CS5, I had to re-embed all of the fonts in the dynamic text fields, but they won't show. What could be the problem?
I have two Flash files on a page. One is a side bar with links and the second one is an image gallery that gets an XML file specified via FlashVars. Now, the side bar is embedded like this:
Not sure if I should be posting here or on the Dreamweaver forum [there's a similar post there], but .. I hope to have some music on my site and have been playing around with various Flash based, XML driven, mp3 players [though I'm a beginner with Flash]. I've got one to look [more or less] as I want it but it doesn't work! It works when previewed within Flash CS4 but not within Dreamweaver. The mp3 [the Josephine Foster song] is there, the XML file is there - I can't think what I've done wrong. Here's the url:[URL]
I'm trying to display HTML text in a text field on the stage, but the text formatting doesn't show. I am embedding all font variations in the library (arial bold and arial regular) and I even have dynamic text fields on the stage that embed arial bold and arial regular.
When creating my flash file, i load swf files into loaders on my stage. When testing it, it works fine, but when publishing it to the web, it dosn't show the embedded swf's?
Simple XML import with text and an html link and an image. For some reason the html tags are rendering as text, not html in the dynamic text field. I have looked at countless posts and tuts From all I've read I am doing things right, but obviously I am not. I must be missing something.ake a look at the attached code and explain where I am going wrong.XML File
when iam trying to publish an flash project containing a dynamic xml menu as html file ,the menu is not showing although it is showing in the accompannying swf file,any body knows the problem??
I am using actionscript 3.0. My externally loaded swf are not showing after I published HTML or if I try to view my final swf by clicking on it in my project folder. I am not sure what to do because everything is working fine when I have my .fla open and press ctrl enter to view my work.
var defaultSWF:URLRequest = new URLRequest("myswf.swf");var loader:Loader = new Loader(); loader.load(defaultSWF); loader.x=Xpos;loader.y=Ypos;addChild(loader); // Btns functionfunction btnClick(event:MouseEvent):void { [Code] .....
I am working with Flash CS5 (AS3) on an iMAC running 10.6.8, My problem is, when I test my Flash file in Flash, the button rollovers change the cursor from the arrow to the hand. When I publish the file as SWF and HTML, the cursor only changes in the SWF file, not the HTML. People know that there is a button there if it doesn't change. Has any one run into this issue before, if so, how can I correct this issue?
Check out the link below, as you can see my overlay is hidden behind the flash element. However, the blue bar with the 'Continue' button appears above everything. Does anyone know what CSS changes I need to make so the overlay will appear above everything below it? The background loads an iframe.

I can't add wmode="transparent" to the embed tag, since I have no control over the page loaded in the iframe.
Simple XML import with text and an html link and an image. For some reason the html tags are rendering as text, not html in the dynamic text field. I have looked at countless posts and tuts but found nothing that helps. From all I've read I am doing things right, but obviously I am not. I must be missing something..[code]...
Basically, there is a Flash movie embedded in the HTML TextFiled. The code is is as follows: <img src="[URL]" width="470" height="350"></img> <p><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /></p> <p>Is there any way to make the space between embedded Flash movie above and this text more narrow ???</p>
In case there is less line breaks (<br />) the text in the last paragraph is shown truncated from the beginnng (so it's like "ny way to make the space..."). Is this a bug in Flash Player or is there any way to render text below embered swf better? Attachments: problem.gif (42.3 K)
I am not new to html or flash but, some what new to XML. I created a carousel based off the tutorials and it works great on my computer but, when I create an html file and attach the .swf file the flash file loads but, the icon images or anything from the .xml file doesn't appear.This is what I use to load my .swf file :
i have been reading all over looking how to get flash to resize and i have seen all about setting the height and width to 100% but these all seem to be when the swf IS the webpage.i'm looking to embed just a piece of flash into my html page, which i need to resize on browser resize.
I have embedded an automatic slideshow as a swf file into a website I'm designing for my parents. When I test the swf file, it performs exactly as expected but when I embed it into the html, it just sits there and doesn't run/animate/whatever.
The slideshow (should) automatically run through a group of 7 photos, with a fade transition and was all done with actionscript, loading the external jpeg files into alternate movieclip containers etc etc.
The web page where it doesn't work is here: [URL] - you can see that the swf just sits there, doing absolutely nothing.
The location of the swf file is: [URL] - as you can see, it works fine on its own!!
I have made a html file in which a swf is embedded with swf object. this swf contain dynamically loaded audio files. It works fine in offline but when it is uploaded it does not show the movie(swf is not playing) I see only empty space. i thought that it may take time to load, but even after waiting for long time the swf did not play and it shows blank white space. Why?..........following is the code[code].....
I am using swfin to embed a swf object (video player) and it loads fine in all browsers, but in firefox it won't "start".I have to right click on the movie area and "start" is unchecked so I click on "start" and it will start just fine. Yet, in chrome and IE (haven't moved to a mac for testing yet) it fires up and starts just as I expected. I have tried swfobject instead of swfin and I have IE issues that I couldn't seem to correct. Hence moving to swfin.Here is the swfin code: ` var s = new swfIN("/Flash/video_player_playhead_overlays.swf", "flashMovie", "427", "280"); // s.hideSEO("div_seo"); s.addVar("video_file", "/DownloadableWork/Boardwalk.flv");[code]....
I am using swf object to embed a swf into a html page. When I compile the swf there are no errors yet when I embed it into a web page i keep getting thrown either one of these two errors the first time the page loads in Safari and Chrome TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference at tracks/loadFlashvars()[code]In firefox I get thrown the same errors everytime the page loads. My swf loads other swfs and and they have XML loaders I thought maybe it could be something to do with the base swf not being fully loaded before the code is run so I have been playing around with setTimeout(); to try and make a work around but I am unsure if this is correct or if my embed code is wrong, which you can see below.URL...
I am creating a Flash project for a fundraising event and tend to test it every now and again. It is an accordion menu. It is going on a html page. I want the height to be relative to the width and the width to equal 100% of the browser window. When I set the html publish settings, I set it to 100% width & height. Then I embedded a swf using the loadmovie() method. I published it again. Everything seemed to be working OK but when my menu loads with the embedded swf, it goes back to normal size (actual size of project - 450x230).
I have created a website with a preloader on flash CS3 and now i need to import it to a .html file, and finally upload it to web. I have imported the .swf into dreamweaver and saved it. However, when I open the html file on Internet Explorer, the preloader has disappeared. (It works fine when I clicked simulate download when playing the website in flash)
I am displaying dynamic content in my flash. Dynamic data is coming from XML and in flash file, html entities are not showing right, strange characters are displaying there. Here is link, [URL] See featured work description at the bottom of the link above, if there is no special characters in description then refresh the page. You will see special character in description (like question mark and sometimes square box, etc.)
