I set up a swf file that preloads other external swf files. I would love these external swf's to be trackable with google Analytics. Is this possible? or is there a other way to do it?

It's so weird.I seperated the Image Slide show component from the Scroller... the scroller had the same effect... didn't display in FF.Played around with WmodeChecked my code for addChild problems, visibilty, alpha properties... nothing out of the ordinary.Asked God.Drank some Gin.Took a break and came back to it.I've reseached Google and the most I could come up with is to compile using FP10. It is FP10. I'm using CS3 and FlashDevelop. When I right click on my Flash file, it does indeed display FP10. Same with Flex.

I am trying to write a class file using a .as file instead of writing code into the script tab of a .fla file.When I write stage.addChild(img); I get an error that stage is null. When I take out stage, and just write addChild(img); the code runs fine, but nothing appears on stage. Do I need to do something to set a stage active?
Is this because I don't have a Main class? My class is named after the file and I don't have a file named Main.Here is the code. As it is, it runs and I get the two trace outputs, but no graphic on my screen.

I can't tell how to get the code to interact with the objects on the stage.
when I run index.html (loads the swf file) locally, the 'ID' is not changing when i resfresh the window. I clear browsing history and the ID changes when I resfresh. Is there a way to tell my swf file to ignore the browsing history so that it will change the ID number everythime I refresh the swf file? Is it because I'm using a textfiled to display it? this is the fla file the displays the ID

I have a Flash file, which uses AS 2, that is displayed in 2 individual html pages. When I click a link in the file, I would like to, if possible, determine the name of the page that it is inside of. Is there a way to determine which of the 2 HTML pages my Flash file is being called from?

When the external .swf loads and displays itself on the main swf (website), the complete external swf file is viewable. To clarify: this external .swf has a world map that moves with a tween. If the animation is played within the main swf, I can see the whole world map and not just only that specific part of the world map that is visible on the "original" .swf
Make a mask over the complete external.swf? Where should i make the mask in the external .swf itself or on the movieclip in my main swf (website)?

I'm edit a flash file that uses about 11 different fonts. When I toss it into the editor and publish it some characters are missing from the product, such as W's and M's. I've installed the fonts that were included with the flash file into windows7.

I have on one file (player1.fla), a movie that plays MP3s from an array, which I specify in that movie. The code for that works just fine.I've duplicated the file and renamed it to a different one (player2.fla) so I could load the MP3s from a variable (array) on a text file. This way, to add more songs, all I would have to do is update the text file.
I changed the code around a tiny bit in the "player2.fla" file to accomodate for loading a text file, but nothing more.*My Problem* The text file loads properly and displays the Title of the mp3, but it won't play the mp3.The text file looks something like this: (just an example)

Is there any way to automatically or at least easily tell the FLA file where to get the new class files from? Could a FLA file be configured to read this sort of information from a configuration file?

I have been working on a Flash movie that loads variable data from an external XML file and dynamically displays the item names in a menu which may then be clicked to display other dynamically-loaded content that corresponds to the menu item that was clicked. I have now come to a standstill in the project as there is something I'd like to achieve but simply cannot work out how. This is my first attempt at working with XML in Flash and one of my early attempts at using variables. What I'm trying to achieve is; once the user has viewed the item's content, they can simply click "next" and "previous" buttons to display all of the content for the next or previous items in the XML document.
I know it probably sounds simple and I'm sure some of you could achieve this in 5 minutes (!) but I can't get my head around some of the coding. I assume previousSibling and nextSibling would come into play here as well as some sort of functions which access arrays of data for the previous and next items, but I'm just not sure how to correctly put these things to use. i have a slideshow made out on an swf file and i want to import into my big fla file so when i click on my gallery button the gallery page opens and the slideshow.swf appears. I can get the gallery page to open no problem but how do i import the swf to this page so it appears and is ready when i click on the gallery page?

The slideshow will have a thumbnail bar with arrows on either side to switch to the next or previous batch of thumbnails.This slideshow needs to be linked to an external file that will contain pictures submitted by visitors to the site. The pictures will automatically generate thumbnails that will call a large version of the image when clicked on.My current knowledge about flash and AS3 coding does not enable me to do this. I wouldn't be surprised if it's not possible at all. It sounds like something that needs to be handled by a content management system.

I have a flash CS3 slideshow that loads it's content from an external .xml file. If I export the HTML it plays fine, but if I move the HTML to the site root directory (just outside the directory with the .swf file), and let dreamweaver update the links the flash slideshow will not play. my site is at: [URL] the flash with the .xml is in [URL]

I have tested it with a simple tester.swf that is just a black square with text on and that loads in fine. However when i try to load my slideshow it doesn't appear. I get all of the output from it but it isn't visible.
I have attached the slideshow. As i guess there's something in there that's messing it up.
