I am creating a quiz in Flash using Actionscript 3.0.I need the questions to appear randomly, each time the application is used. The questions are in a different order.Also the application cannot go back to the first scene as that is a start page.[code]

View 3 RepliesI have screen in which I have a button which sets the clip to lower quality, and I also have to have the mouse event in which when the mouse is clicked (anywhere on the screen), this sends you to a different frame (gotoAndStop). The problem is, when I click on the button, not only it does its function, but the mouse event also does. What I want to do basically is to disable the mouse event while pressing the button.

ive made a button in the scene 1 which i have managed to navigate to scene 2 but when i click the button it goes to scene 2 but displays everthing that is in scene 1 in scene 2, how can sort this out so upon the button click in scene 1 it goes to scene 2 and only display content in scene2.

generate random text with the click of a button. I have followed the kirupa.com tutorial for 'loading random quotes' but I am still getting a few undesirables. Firstly, I am generating an 'undefined' result occasionally. (Even with the example text from the tutorial). I have 5 quotes as per the example, but still get undefined as a result from time to time. Also, how would I go about altering the code so the same quote wasn't generated immediately after itself?

I have a project with several banners, each one in a separated scene (banner1, banner2, banner3....).I'd like to play a random banner (scene) when the SWF is loaded.I tried many codes that I've found around the web in the first frame of a bank scene, but nothing worked. I have an app I'm creating with Flash CS5.5 with 42 different short stories in it. It has 2 scenes. Scene 1 is the opening and contents menu to access the stories. Scene 2 contains the 42 stories.In scene one, I have a button that I want to be able to pick a random story so it would need to pick a random frame between 1 and 42 in scene 2. I have seen some code in here that will pick a random frame when you open the program, but I don't know how to tie it to a button or pick a random frame in another scene.

The thing here is that the trace of "mc" in the beginning returns the correct movie clip reference, but "mc_clothes_holder.mc" after the attachMovie returns "undefined".
When the movie loads, it takes you to a random scene. How?

The problem is : the rotation applied to my text is 58.3 instead of 45. I have to admit that I'm kind of noob with matrix... so I used the "matrix transformation for rotation" here : [URL].
