In a datechooser component i want to get the all date values of a particular column in a month eg: All date values that occur in saturday in an array.

The question is: in what place do I have to insert this code and to what object I need to link it? The target is that the user can't select a day in the future.

I did not realize how easy it was to create an xml driven text page in Flash until today. This gives me so much more to offer clients as they can now update the text fields in Flash pages I create. I now need to know the following: I used Arial font for a dynamic text field, will someone who decides to edit the text in the xml file later on always see the new text in Arial on the site? In other words as long as I used Arial in the .fla the font used can only be changed in the .fla correct?

Today is 28-05-2010, so I need to list Event 01. On 01-06-2010 I need to list Event 02. I have the basic AS3 code for listing the XML working, but I'm having trouble filtering the result.

The movie starts with an intro and when that ends a "continue" button should appear and take you to the next part. View 1 RepliesI'm trying to do this: When I roll over a button, an image appears. I have three buttons and 1 image per button that corresponds with it. When I roll out, the image disappears. I have most of it figured out, but the part that gets me is how to make each button correspond to one image. I've brought in some map data and converted it to individual movie clips, each of which has an instance name that I'd like displayed when each clip is clicked on. ideally an informational box would appear with the name of the clip and some other info that I've specified.

I have created a few (will be a few hundreds eventually) flashcards (for leaning chinese characters), how can i make them show-up one after another on a click of a <next> button? (How to create the <next> button, where to place, how to code it, and how to make the swf files appear one after another when the button is clicked?)
Each flashcard is interactive with dozens of layers (all lasting one frame only, but there is a movie clip within a movie clip on the first frame of one of the layers (an animated clip to show *how to* write the character), it has a stop(); command in the first and last frames. And there are dozens of invisible buttons that allow the content (example words and sentences) to show up and hide on click of the buttons (all coded in AS2 i think).
Each flashcard on itself functions perfectly well when published , but i am really puzzled how could i connect all the flashcards and make them show up one after another on the click of the (yet to be created somehow) <next> button.
i have four radio buttons on the stage and i want randomize there order for my quiz so that when the user clicks back each time its a lil harder to get the right answer...ALSO is it possible to do this randomizing in accordance with the randomizing of my results in my database so that the answer will actually match the radio buttons??

View 2 RepliesI have a website i designed which contains buttons that navigate the user to different points on the timeline using frame labels. when they get to the appropriate frame label, they are presented with a movieclip containing two layers. The bottom layer is a map, and the upper layer is a collection of printer buttons that have a tooltip component on them that show you detailed printer info on mouse over and takes you to the printer remote ui on release. each button has a unique queue name for the appropriate printer as its instance name (ex. itm100_btn). Here's the jist... I want to be able to place a dynamic text box near the printer button and using action script have it display the printer queue name automatically simply based on the button its targeting, or even placing the dynamic txt box inside the printer button mc. See, on some pages, there are like 24 printers... I DREAD having to put all these names in manually as there are like 150 printers total

I have something that ill explain as simple as possible.
Lets say I have textbox X and textbox Y
Textbox X is an input text of up to 3 numbers only.
Textbox Y is controlled by an up and down button, max 3 numbers.
I have a button that says Calculate, and when pushed, it takes the movie to frame two, where a third textbox Z is present, and i want textbox Z to display textbox X multiplied by Textbox Y
Its almost like a gas pump for your car, petrol is X dollars a litre, then you use Y litres of petrol, so your price (Z) is X multiplied by Y. What would be the code for the multiplication of textbox X and Texbox Y, and then to have textbox Z equal that answer. I am guessing it would be something like
