I'm trying to create a five image gallery, and when I try to add the load request for the 3rd, 4th, and 5th images I get an error message that says it doesn't recognize that request: see code below:

i am trying to add extra images to the photo gallery attached. I would have thought it is easy and it seems so. I add an extra image to the gallery. I publish it. The html file shows the extra image in the gallery but the swf doesnt. driving me crazy, cant work it out?
Which mime-type should i use to embed .jxr images? In the list of supported mime-types i find nothing new.I tried to load jxr image, but application does not recognize this format.All i receive - a lot of different errors.

I would like to know how to set up the URLRequest to load an external image to a movie clip that is being used in a Drag and Drop event.I have successfully implemented the drag & drop code to my design but I would like to improve it by successfully loading external images to those objects that are being dragged around.I have both Var Load and starDrag codes. I followed someone's tutorial on CWD.dk and made this image gallery scroller. I have attached the file downloaded from the website. Basically, when you click the buttons, it will scroll the images. I have completed the xml thumbnail gallery and it works standalone. I want to load it into another swf which is part of my main movie. The only problem is that when i do this the XML doesnt seem to load. If anyone could shed some light on this, that would be great. U can dl the FLA's below. Completed Gal here. i want to make another mod to kirupa's xml gallery.i also noticed that on a mac when it is on the server, the image doesn't fade in unless it has already been viewed.i'm trying to make the images slide in from the right when the next button is clicked.it would be awesome if the previous one moved out of the way to the left as the next one slid in but i have no idea how to achieve that.

I have an application that I'm migrating from flex 3 to flex 4.5. In this application, there is some mx Image components that load a simple swf file (image). Spark image doesn't load swf files, so I was wondering, should I keep the mx Image, or should I change it to SWFLoader? Is there any advantages to using one or the other?
I just installed Flash CS4 and brought ip a couple of fla's I get a box telling me I don't have some fonts on my system that I know I do have like Verdana and Ariel, etc. Is there something I should configure?

I managed to botch the file up pretty good on my own, and was wondering if there is a ready answer nearby.So I'm thinking have but1, but2 and but3, with a seperate xml file for each. What would you recommend for a smooth way to swap the the xml files to the gallery, and load the first image of the new xml file? Also, can it be done with one big ol' xml file while keeping the galleries seperate? It's not necessary, but could be handy, and save some loading.It would also be interesting to apply the same principle to the resizing script that Scotty has in that big Resizing thread, just a thought.

Do you have idea about the reason for that error and how to prevent it? N.B. The code that triggers this error is as a result for click handler. If before encountering this error change the selection on my yearsCb, everithing is fine. EDIT: I forget to specify that this error is thrown when it is a selected item in my ComboBox. It seem that after container that holds the ComboBox loses the focus, it doesn't recognize it's ComboBox child as having a selected item anyway (this problem arise only after the modal popup close.).

how to make my package use stage.stageHeight so I can tell a ball to bounce when it reaches the bottom of the stage. I'm calling my ball to the stage from the library in a way I'm not used to and have never done so I'm assuming it has got to do with that. if you take a moment to look at it (pretty simple i've stripped out everything except for the physics that makes a ball drop and bounce) and let me know why I cant detect the stage.
I've got an app where I'm grabbing the currently highlighted text from the user in a RichEditableText block and I've noticed that when the user highlights a selection after a carriage return that selectionActivePosition and selectionAnchorPosition return values that don't count the carriage return, even though when I slice the corresponding text with the retrieved values, it does take the carriage return into account and therefore returns a value shifted one character to the left for each carriage return appearing earlier in the text.
I was asked to update some information on a certain project. The weird thing is that whenever I try to export the movie from Flash (I work with CS3 Professional), I get errors. Before even changing anything. All of them are reporting MovieClip not being recognized ("The class...... must subclass flash.display.MovieClip since it is linked to a library symbol of that type" (and a few SimpleButtons too). There is a total of 57 errors. All the classes import and extend MovieClip.
Now I'm pretty sure this doesn't have anything to do with the code itself, since this project was already published and tested working as it is. I tried adding Class paths in the preferences menu but this didn't seem to help.
I have a button that was added to stage using addChild when the page load, the button is suppose to be removed using removeChild and redirect into its specific page using event.target.name...somehow i got this error: Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2035: URL Not Found.

When i test the movie the background image is loaded, but when i simulate the download ( so as to check how the preloader works ) the image "NightSky.jpg" doesn't load and there is an error in the output panel. This is the error:

All the files and the image are in the same file on my computer.
i gave the tree an ArrayCollection as dataprovider that i pulled from the database, and it contains the children, but the discloser icon wont disappear on an object that doesn't have a child.i think the problem is that the renderer doesn't recognize the leaf child, wich contains a children array of length 0, or null......
I am building a website with an image gallery using XML to load thumbnails and images.
Firstly, I was going to try to make the thumbnails act like buttons, so the mouse cursor would change to a little pointing finger like it does in buttonmode but i could not get this to work.
Secondly, I also wanted the alpha properties of the other buttons to reduce to about 0.75 to highlight the selected thumnail that would stay at its full alpha value of 1. Yet again i could not get this to work either.Can you build this type of functionality into the imported xml data or am I just kidding myself here?
I've seen this done on many sites (it even happens on here when attaching links), where the screen darkens and an image gallery or form loads.
My question is, can this be done through Flash, but more importantly how to load a swf file this way. I noticed that the new Nike Running site has done it for their login functionality, where it loads the login box on a darkend screen, not sure whether the actual login is Flash but it's opened from within Flash.
