Ok so i imported a video into flash and converted it to SWF by the adobe media converterThe video is now in the one frame of my timeline. Which is fine, but what i wan't to know is. Is there any way i can set the SWF video to loop after it plays?
I have a flash file that is looping endlessly. I only need it to play once and stop. I have tried eveything to fix it but simply cant ge tit to work, The file can be seen here:[URL] My html code via golive is set yo play once, i am pretty sure the issue is a setting in FLash
I am trying to publish a flash file onto a website but once I post it there it keeps looping. How do I get it so that it doesn't loop? I have a feeling it's a setting in Flash that I have to find before I publish it but I don't know where it would be or if there even is one.
what I'm trying to do is make a preloader that will preload about 20 external SWF files before it lets you get to my main file. I want to do this because my main file needs the SWFs to be ready to go once its done loading. I have looked around and i found a few ways to do this with the "if (loadedBytes>=totalBytes)" and the code loops back till the files are done loading... this would be just what i need but i cant seem to get it to work. the file just seems to start loading my files but does not loop and just runs the time-line even once i state what frames i want it to loop.
I recently modified a single page website for a family member (for fun). The family member had someone make a flash object a year ago at the very top of the page that cycles through a few different colors on the hair--the page can be viewed here [URL] She has asked me to see how to make it so the hair cycles through the colors continuously instead of just once--is this possible?
I have a swf file which I created using Adobe Flash professional CS5.5, it's a basic animation of some birds with an audio, it is meant to reply every 5 seconds, but for some reason after it starts to play the second loop it stops mid way and restarts the video from the beginning.
This is my actionscript:
stop(); setInterval(wait, 10000); function wait(){
i'm trying to see if a file exists, the file is located in a usb memory so i'm using an array and an ioerrorevent, if the file is found (event.COMPLETE), i execute another function and if the file does not exist i use this (IOErrorEvent.IO_ERROR) which tirggers another function to look for the next drive. however, even when the load find the file in the right drive the IOErrorEvent is triggered anyway and not my event.COMPLETE.
I am trying to loop a small sound file (wav file because I was told wav will loop seemlessly)...in any case, got the actionscript (2.0) to work with one simple button that acts as a start and pause... but yet, the file still doesnt loop.
I have two buttons and an swf file (a movie I created in After Effects). I want to do the following: When the page loads I would like the swf file (the TV) the stay frozen on frame 1 (the picture of the child's face). When the mouse is rolled-over the "Home" button, I want the swf file (the TV) to play frames 2-59, and loop on these frames until the mouse is rolled-off the "Home" button. When the mouse rolls off of the "Home" button I want the swf file (the TV) to instantly go back to frame 1 and stay on frame 1 until the mouse rollsover another button. If the mouse rolls over the "Products" button, I want the TV to loop frames 60-109, and again instantly go back to frame 1 when the mouse is rolled-off the "Products" button. I will use these buttons as a template, copy and paste them, so that I can easily make different segments of the TV play when different buttons are rolled-over.
I have a loop that is running to display images of all my clients.So, the image names are client0.png, client1.png,client2.png and so forth.I have a movie clip that is duplicated and uses the Loadmovie command to call the images. The code I'm using looks like this.
var position = 0; for (i=0; i<50; i++) { emptyMC.duplicateMovieClip("emptyMC"+i, i, {_y:+position}); var position = position +150 loadMovie ("http://www.url.com/client"+i+".png", "emptyMC"+i);
It's working great! But I don't have 50 clients, so I was wondering if there was a way to terminate this loop once it was unable to find a file. Does it already terminate once the file isn't found? Every time I test, the output unfortunately tells me "file cannot be found blah blah blah" or whatever. And all I want to do in order to update this page is to upload another image to the server without going back into the .swf and changing the i<50 to the exact number of clients I have.
i have succesfully managed to encode / create an .FLV file which now plays back in my .swf file. The picture and sound are great when streaming off the web!
how do i command the file to play back in a continous loop? at present it plays and then rewinds back to the begining.
i have investigated some of the .FLV parameters but can't seem to find the control / command i'm looking for.

Please take a look at the fla file [URL]. The fla file is a little large (about 23 megs).
I am running 3 swf files for loop. Problem is after compiling the flash file swf file is getting slower and slower after two or three loops and stopping with one content finally. I don't know why it is happening my guess is "due to memory increasing causing flash file to slower".
XML_var = new XML(); // now load up the url. XML_var.load("http://www.lick.fm/tracklist.xml"); // when xml is loaded call functon displayXML
[Code].....
This ascript reads an external xml file and picks up the tracklist names for current playing and previous playing songs on my radio station website. It works and looks perfectly fine but i need this to refresh every 30 seconds to read the dynamic xml file and update flash.
I am trying to load two variables from a text file testi.txt Heres my file (test1=here is some text&test2=OK)I have no problems loading test1 -part to dynamic text field but the second variable (test2) is giving me troubles.
I have 10 dynamic text fields inside a movieclip, which are populated via an XML file. However, the xml file sometimes has less than 10 items. It never has more than 10. This results in the following error, which is normal. I need the code to count the amount of items in the XML file and then create a for-each loop. I can visualize it, but I don't know how to write it. Basically what I need the code below transformed in to is this... (notice the #'s)
I'm trying to parse a rather large XML file using a for loop to populate a listcomponent. To let the user know the XML is being parsed (takes 5-10 sec.) I want to create a simple notifier/preloader (loader_mc is on the stage, frame 1, and should inform that things are being loaded/parsed).The problem is that nothing shows as long as the loop is busy.Is there some kind of progresslistener for the loop in AS3 or some kind of Event.PROGRESS for the XML load that will kick in BEFORE the loop starts.I even tried to move this script to frame 2 but still the loader_mc wouldn't show.[code]...........
I am having trouble creating a simple flash music metronome. Specifically, I can't figure out how to determine the position of a slider and use this position to determine how frequently to play a certain imported sound. I would also like to be able to display the tempo on the screen.
I have created a few cool little animations with FLAR toolkit and it all works fine I am super happy with how collada files work in the AR apps that Ive made. I would like to make an animated collada file just simply loop through an animation. I am pretty sure its possible but I don't know whether the examples Ive seen use code or whether the animation is imported.
I've created this loop to fill some data from a XML file...I can access the data but it doesn't work on my look.I have several movie clip on the stage such as thumb01, thumb03...then I whant to set a dynamic field called thumb01.numero.text with the var imageNumero myImage[i]. attributes.numero; attribute from my XML file but the loop doesn't recognize it...here is my code...
Code: var xmlData=new XML(); xmlData.ignoreWhite=true;[code]....
I can't seem to remove / unload the external swf files e.g when the carousel.swf (portfolio) is displayed and I press the about button the about content is overlapping the carousel (portfolio) . How can I remove / unload an external swf file from the main flash file and load a new swf file, while at the same time removing garbage collection from memory?
