ActionScript 3.0 :: Press The Button The Seccond Time The MC Doesnt Turn Visible?

how can i make MC visible for 20 seconds when a button is pressed i tryd to do this and this is what happend
when i first press the button it works perfectly but when i press the button the seccond time the MC doesnt turn visible can someon give me a sample how to do this?
I have a movieclip that will rotate by 10 right if the right button is pressed, or 10 left if the left button is pressed.Now, some genius tell me why the right button code works perfectly, but when i press left it doesnt rotate. It moves left, but no rotation to be found .heres the code

If you press a button within a certain amount of time, you are taken to lets say frame 2, if the time expires, you are taken to frame 3.I have used up all of my "i'm still a newbie at flash", so I'm just gonna tell you the truth and say that I haven't done any AS (or flash for that matter) in quite some time, so I guess I have to get busy and learning actionscript.
I have a problem with two functions. This is the story: the user has to press the space button on keyboard when he sees something on screen, then the "rightClick" function is called. If he presses the button when there is something else on screen that is a wrong answer (function "wrongClick" is called). The problem is that when the user presses the space button both function run at the same time.

Now what happens is tht only one button is visible or workin at any point of time. But if i use say, "xyz_button" as the params for the about_button. then it works fine. i can see both the buttons. also i tried giving unique names to the button, even that didnt work.
when the video reaches 1 minute, a button appears. is there a way to hide the button again if the user uses the seek bar to go back to the 30 second (or any time before 1 minute) point?
I am creating a thumnail bar having the thumnail of the images, it has the default visible thumbs of 7 images, while the others must be hidden on the right of the bar. I used the code in AS3 to add thumbs in to the bar, the first 7 were fine, but the others still appearred visible and cover the bar border.My thumbBar is simply a rectangle and what i really did was to thumbBar.addChild(thumb). But all the thumbs appeared visible, first 7 thumbs stayed inside the rectange but the others were outside.How can I make the others invisible and turn them visible only when i use with the MouseOver Event.
I've been experimenting with a crank that you can turn with the mouse which is supposed to make things gradually change on the stage. Everything is going smoothly, except that when the crank makes a full rotation, its angle returns to 0. I've added an AccumulatedAngle variable to keep track of this, but I can't get it to update at the same time as the actual rotation. What I'm getting is brief moments where the totalAngle value is 360 above what it should be, and the objects on screen update with that value, causing them to jump around on the screen and then jump back each time the crank makes a full rotation. I've tried moving around the order of the variable updates and I've tried moving when the boxes are updated, even putting them inside the if statements that change the crank's angle. I just can't figure this one out.
I have a popup that contains a TabNavigator control. The tabs are dynamically added to the TabNavigator when the popup loads. Is there a good way to tell when one of the tabs is loaded, from the tab itself?I have a tab that requires a service call to be made, and I don't want the service call to be made unless the user actually goes and clicks the tab to view it. I could notify the tab from the popup control itself when the TabNavigator index was changed, but that doesn't seem like a good way to go about doing it.
Is it possible to have a MC go to ._visible=false after a certain amount of time? So you would roll over it and let's say after 2 seconds it would become not visible. Is this to do with the setInterval function? Actionscript knowledge is slim so be gentle.
I have one button, that when clicked should display several images, one at a time. At the minute they are all just coming on together, how do i seperate the functions so they come on individually, for example like bullet points, e.g click once and image1 appears, click again and image2 appears etc... so eventually all of the images are on screen, but they don't all just appear together, if that makes sense!

I'm trying to give an action to each face of the cube. I would like to make it a menu with 6 buttons (one per face)I want to launch a movieclip each time i press a face.
I have an actions layer, a sound layer and an image layer. I put one image from the library onto the image layer and all I see is the border. When I test the movie the image is visible. This just started suddenly. What is going on? Flash CS4.
Is there any possibility to make a movieclip visible for a specific time (e.g. 5sec.)? I want to make "srch275" show for 5 seconds and then make it disapear.

I have a button and a movie clip animation, when the button is pressed the animation should run. But it doesnt. I can make it all work if I place a second frame on my main stage and make the button gotoandplay that frame which has the animation on it. But the problem arises when the animation is done it just loops over and over. So I placed a gotandstop AS on the last frame. This only makes it so that if you want to click on the button a second time (to see the animation) you have to click twice
I want to introduce a canvas component by zooming from a height & width of 0.0 to 1.0. I want the component to be invisible until the zoom begins and then for it to be visible when it begins zooming.
However, if I bind the zoom effect to a showEffect trigger on the component and then make the component visible, it will first show the component at its regular size for a split second before it begins the zoom effect. If I combine the zoom effect and setting the component visible together in a parallel, it will also flash the component at its regular size for a split second before the zoom. If I make the component visible when the zoom effect starts through its effectStart event, it still does it. Does anyone know how to make it visible only when the zoom effect begins so that it doesn't flash the component at its regular size for a split second before the zoom effect?
I want the press button to detect the last button pressed and if the shapes match, make them do something...obviously. I think I'm going at it the wrong way. I need to stick a "triange" id into the button/mc then if compares that and then if there is a match works then... right?
i'm designing a website in flash8... now i have created some buttons, and i want that when i click on the button stars will fly from them and there will be a sound... i have already created the animation of the stars seperatly and it's in the library, i have also the sound file.... i just can't remember how to put everything together.... when i'll press on the button the stars will be flying from the button and the sound will play?
I have done custom MC based buttons with over and out stages as well as a click stage.What would be a code for cursor to change into a hand when it is over the button.
1. Im getting the mouse location so that when its at the top of the screen a dropdown menu appears. It works fine on my first two frame, but on my third the drop down doesnt move unless my mouse passes over it.
