Actionscript 3.0 :: If Frame Is Played Then Go To Frame

How do I say with an action.IF current frame (frame 20) has played, goto frame 21.Here is the code I have and it doesn't work. I also don't know what frame to put the script on, is it frame 20 or 21? [code]
Is there some code that I can use to detect whether a frame has already been played? What I'd like to do is detect yes or no, then jump to a specific frame depending on the condition.
I am creating a quiz in flash using AS 3.0 I need the order of the questions to be in a random order which I have worked out how to do.I now need to make it so the questions are shown only one, I've tried looking on the internet but I've not been able to find anything that a: helps and b:
I am working on this flash website that holds an intro animation which is a .flv file placed in a .fla file. I am trying to figure out the Actionscript needed to tell it to go to the next frame within the same movie once the flv file has played. Right now it just stops and sits on the last frame of the flv file or the flv file just loops.
When you put the stop(); action on a frame, does the frame's graphics get played before the movie stops, or does the movie stop before the frame's graphics are played?
I have this custom video player I'm making. I need some way to react when the externally played flv file reaches a certain point in the movie without embedding some extra data on the flv file. I am looking for this because I want to react at the 90%-99% point of the movie because I didn't like the behavior I'm getting when I react when the stream completes playing (I want a bit earlier). How do I achieve this?
I'm surprised Adobe didn't document what is the object structure passed on things like onMetaData and onCuePoint...
I've got an animation in a MC which I want to play out as a preloader.For example, it has 100 frames, and I want the animation to play upto the percentage which has been loaded. So, if 40% of the SWF has been loaded, then the animation should have played upto frame 40.
I suppose the title says it all. I can load an external video file (FLV) and I can have it play. I also have the custom buttons made to control the clip. The only thing I have left to do is to have the main timeline move onto frame 2 once the external video reaches its end. I am using actionscript 3 and flash cs 5.5.

i have a movieclip on stage. it has 3 frames but is stopped with "stop():" so it only shows the first frame on mousedown i want it to play frame 2 for a duration of 1 frame then frame 3.
This is a snippet of some code I'm working on. Currently I have a mc that you press that plays another mc. That mc that reacts has 5 frames, each frame with stop(); on each frame. I do a normal play code because it lets me play through and cycle back to frame 1 after frame 5 (so if I click the mc it eventually cycles back to the first frame and starts the process over again). If I do a nextframe it stops at frame 5, so that's why I use play.
press_mc click on it and it tells mover2_mc to advance a frame and recycles back to frame one to redo the process.Can I tell press_mc to play and skip a frame or to have it play a list of frames that I tell? I can't do a _currentframe +2 because it'll halt at frame 5.
Just finally making the transition from AS2 to AS3.All i need to do at this point is make two buttons which will control the movie to goto next frame and previous frame. I have gotten how to make the buttons go to a specified frame number and also a button to go to a specified external url but no success in making a simple next/previous pair of buttons.
how I access variables in a frame on the stage with code from a frame within a movieclip?(basically passing variables from a stage frame to a movieclip frame)
i created a two layer in time line in one layer there is a movieclip called mc1. In the same layer in 15th frame i have another movie clip mc2. Inside the movieclip mc2 i created another movie clip at frame10 now if i clik the the mc1 on first frame The movie clip should goto and stop at tenth frame
I have 3 frames each with a movie clip called map_mc. Each different map_mc have different objects that call the CollisionDetect class. Heres whats happening. objects from frame 1 will start freaking out when I goto frame 2. How do I remove only the event listeners from objects only on frame 1?
I have been trying this.currentFrame but the problem is that all the objects are inside map_mc on the first frame so no matter what it will always be 1. On the other hand MovieClip(root).currentFrame will always give me the current frame but wont tell me what the objects frame is relative to the stage.What I want to do is have something to this effect:MovieClip(root).this.currentFrame would output that this object is on frame 1 and MovieClip(root).currentFrame will tell me that the stage is on frame 2 so I can remove the listeners accordingly.
now how do i make the movie clip to first go from frame 1 to 10( last frame in teh movieclip) with the text time and then when the movie clip starts again it should say place and so on and so forth.. depending on how many textline variables i define in the text file?
I want to make a button that makes you got to a random frame within a certain range (eg frame 41-50) when you press it. I have tried various codes but so far no luck. Im using AS 2 and the button is within a couple of movie clips, but you can still click it when you test
I need to create a script that will jump to a certain frame in the scene when a movie cilp reaches its last frame. Putting a goto... within the MC itself doesn't work. I assume that I need to create a listener of some sort....I haven't been able to find what I need in any documentation (and I'm even been looking through AS dictionaries going back to Flash 4).
I am trying to get just a single pose from an armature layer without copying the whole layer. I just want the exact arrangement of symbols from a specific frame of the armature layer alone; in one keyframe; without the armature; into a normal layer. I tried a few things, like breaking apart and copying the individual keyframe (ctrl+click on the frame I want and "copy pose"). I thought about converting an armature layer into a frame-by-frame animation so I can just copy the one frame like I want, but it's apparently not an option. When I tried the break apart option it just breaks down the first frame of the armature layer into one big vector graphic. I've even tried highlighting every frame except the one I want to use and pressing Shift+F5. Nothing I've tried so far works.
This is annoying because if I don't find a solution, I will have to take each separate symbol used in this frame of the armature layer and individually align them all in the exact same position in the normal layer
OK, I am trying to get the following functions to load and unload the video to my main timeline when I go in and out of a frame. I tried on Enter_FRAME but it is now working properly and load many instances.
What are the listeners I need to do to call the functions of oCoach when enetering a frame and fclickCV when leaving a frame?

I have four movie clips (.f4v) in 4 frames in a movie with watch buttons.. This movie has them been imported into a main movie container that has next and previous buttons. However if i play a movie then hit next frame, the movie continues to play in the background.
