May 14, 2008I am developing our company website and I have come across a small stumbling block!I have searched out a few other threads that mention this issue, but none have yet resolved iAnyway, I have an XML gallery that I want to host in a sub directory on my server(/gallery/...) - now when I publish the SWF using the below code, it seems as though it loads the XML, but the XML cannot find the correct path to the images themselves.My XML file, the images and the gallery SWF are all in the same directory (/gallery) and are called upon externally from a SWF at the root.> portfolio.swf > /gallery/gallery.swf > /gallery/images.xml > /gallery/image-1.jpgHere is an image of the error message...Here is my XML file...

Apr 29, 2011I can still create the video and the files and it all works in dreamweaver when I preview in iexplore. When I put the files and the page into the host server it shows the skin and no video. If my paths are wrong I do not know where to check them. I need help MY whole career is on hold until I know how to do this like clockwork/ I need step by step with creating and changing paths and uploading using cpanel or dreamweaver. getting the files made and uploaded is easy part. I have been here before and cheers to the help. I really need an in depth answer about how to do this from start to finish. I have looked at all tutorials and they all make it seem so easy but dont show anything on paths. If my video works in dreamweaver but not online live what is wrong? I am lost and on edge lost many weeks of sleep over this simple process.

Jan 29, 2011I recently made simple changes to a class file and a document class when I run on my PC it works when I upload to my host godaddy it doesn't reflect any change. I've tried several different browsers making sure to clear cache first but no change the only thing I can think of is that the server is caching some of the files. Do they do that? If so is there a script I can run to refresh the server cache?

May 24, 2010I'm using the server Stream.play() method to playback a recorded stream, it plays back fine until it hits the buffer limit (Say I set the buffer to 5 seconds, it will playback fine for 5 seconds). But then it freezes and playback is very stuttery (1 frame every 2/3 seconds). Is this a know issue? I'm using windows 2008 server. I've tried a few things to resolve this but no luck. The server is running the dev license and has no load.

Aug 5, 2009I have a simple motion tween from fr 1 - 52 (x and y property movement only). I create a custom ease - standard 100 ease in and then a 100 ease out. When this ease is applied to the motion, the ease "happens" after fr 52. So the object does not stop until fr 63 (eased out at 63. How can I get the ease to match / ease out to the last keyframe on 52, rather than 63??? See the attached image of the motion editor.

May 21, 2009I'm working on a rotating carousel type menu. It has images that rotate around, and when you click on an image, a .flv file plays, then when it's done, it goes back to the menu. It loads the data from an .xml file so it's all dynamically created.
This is all fine and works... locally.
When I upload it to the server, everything seems fine until I click on one of the icons. The .flv plays for 2 seconds, then goes back to the menu. Other flv files on the internet play fine, so it's not my flash player. I tried hard-coding in a video to play, and it has the same problem, it plays the first 2 seconds, then freezes.

I have the program set to go back to the menu when the status of the .flv is: NetStream.Play.Stop
I traced out the status of the video when playing locally, the status goes normally (gets to Netstream.play.stop after the video is done), but when played online, it gets to netstream.play.stop after 2 seconds, then prints that out like 50 times.
Media Server :: FLV Playback Stopping Early?
Jan 12, 2009I have an intermittant problem with FLV playback. I am using FMS 3.0.1r123 and FLVPlayback component to play RTMP streams that have been recorded using a webcam via RTMP. Maybe 1 in 10 recordings will not play back the last couple of seconds of the movie. A day or two later they are fine and play completely! I have made some tests;
1. Using Video object instead makes no difference (it seems the Event.COMPLETE message arrives early)
2. Using HTTP playback fixes the problem (but I want to try and keep the RTMP playback if possible though but I guess this is one way out)
3. The duration before the movies plays back properly seems to vary but is always at least 24 hours later (is that weird or what?)
4. Seeking past the 'end' will play the last couple of seconds.
5. The metadata duration reported at the start is correct (but how can you force FLVPlayback to use this length?)

Jun 11, 2009I found some stuff in an old FMS book (great book on FMS but very old) on how to subscribing to the Log streams. The does a netConnect & NetStream and used a nc,onLog to get play back but onLog does not seem to be supported anymore. how I can playback logs from FMS 3.x into CS3 client?

Feb 25, 2010my name is Göran and I know this is probably the wrong place to post my question but as far as I can see there´s no forum for FMLE here. I´m using the betaversion for mac. I was broadcasting to justin tv last night and decided to try out the record feature i FMLE. It looked like it worked ok and a 125 mb f4v landed on my harddrive. There´s no way I can play it back though or for that matter convert it mov etc etc. What am I doing wrong do I need another special app for playback or converting. Seem a bit strange if this feature is onboard the FMLE but you can´t use it.

The file is created in the live folder, and i can stream it back to the client no problem, however when I try to play the file in Adobe Media Player (or anything else) it won't play. I've used the f4v post processor which claims to run successfully, but with no joy.

May 18, 2010I have downloaded and installed the Flash Media Server (FMS) trial version. Just purchased the software today and waiting for the activation serial number. I created a video gallery - [URL]. My goal is for these videos to stream just like vimeo. I am only using HD 1280 x 720 video. All videos are between 25 to 125 MB in size, originally .mov files converted to .flv using FFMPEG. Videos are between 30 seconds to 58 seconds in length.
I am using ColdFusion to upload and organize my videos and I have configured FMS to work with CF. The Issue is that these videos buffer the same way they did when I didn't have FMS installed. Press play, the video buffers, the video plays, then stops to buffer again. Stop and Buffer, Stop and Buffer. I can understand if there is buffering at the start of the video but not throughout. When I start the video over from the start, it has to buffer all over again!
