I have made a small rectangle in the flash with the tweening effect and export in to the FLEX. When i publish in the FLEX i could see the rectangle with out tweening effects.How can i see the tweening effects.

I need to export a 60 animation from flash. It has text and image animation on the timeline, no actionscript. The swf file when published is 5 mb. When I export as an .mov, it is 768 mb. Also, there is some jumping and stuttering.

View 3 RepliesI would like to tween between a short rounded rectangle and a tall rounded rectangle. (I only want deal with the height - no other parameters). I am programming with ActionScript 3. My tweening engine is TweenLite.I have been tweening a sprite that contains a rounded rectangle. The tweened sprite produces distortion. I suppose that I have been scaling the original image, rather than the height of the rounded rectangle?Here is a simple example of my code:
Draw the rounded rectangle:

I would like to tween the height of the rounded rectangle itself. I would hope that this would not produce the unwanted distortion.

The idea is that users would know basic drag & drop development and maybe extend it to include some basic scripting to wire up elements of it. The ability to develope applications for a range of access points (website, mobile, desktop) would also an added benefit.The over arching idea would be to let the users create some apps/programmes/packages quickly on any topic they like but not bog them down with coding.Which CS5 technologies would be best for that

I use Fireworks and Dreamweaver CS3 and I have very basic knowledge of Flash so I'm not afraid to use that application if I have to.

I'm trying to get a modal window working, but for some reason, no matter what I do, the only part of the movie that's modalized is everything but the bottom 50 pixels; apparently the background transparent rectangle thing isn't being made high enough for whatever reason. Does anyone have any ideas of what's going on? A demo .fla of the apparent bug is attached.
View 1 RepliesI'm creating an actionscript project in Flex Builder. I succeed to export from Flash a SWC file, and to use it succesfully in Flex. I have a good programming background and Flex looks very simple for me, but I have difficult times in flash. I'm trying to achieve something that might be very simple(not for me of course): I create a simple shape in Flash, convert it to symbol. Then I create a TextField. The I select both the elements and convert them to another symbol, and Export it as a movieclip in swc.
In flex I want to change the value from the textfield. How should I do? I'm trying to do:

t....(what should I write here)
As I mentioned when I open flash I feel like an elephant in a porcelain store. I have 2 questions here: - how to assign a name to the textfield in flash? I'm using CS4. - how to access it as a child in flex?
I will not be hosting the .swf file and I would like to include images using Flash Builder 4. The images appear in a folder in the exported version and I'm not sure how to "embed" them into the .swf (so that I can deploy the file to sites like Kongregate, etc.)
Seems like it should be simple, but my Google fu is currently poor.
Edit: Note, I would like to continue using the Flex framework, which is what I am using now.

I have seen a banner, lets say 486x60 with html content all around it. However somehow the flash generates a larger flash animation, that is much larger then that. And it sits on top of all the other content (this part I can figure out), I just can't figure out how to get the small flash have a larger flash come out of it.

View 1 RepliesI tried to refresh my little flash knowledge -- but I stumbled upon a problem with the new Flash CS4!
When I try to make different blur or alpha effect on one keyframe I got after making the motion tween -- Flash adjust the other keyframe as well (got the same reaction on both keyframes as if it was the same instance of movie clip -- and not as in old flash; the keyframes created separated or independent instances)
The only thing working for me is when I move the movie clip out of the stage on the first keyframe -- and it correctly move its position.
