I am trying to get the solutions from last month but no better luck. I have created interactive 500 animations in flash using CS3 and action script 2.0. Now I want to play these on iPad.
Ive just started messing around with flash cs5 and trying to make a simple app for the ipad and have it eventually on the app store. The thing that has me concerned is that the animations seem to be struggling on the ipad.
im running it at 24 fps and there is zero physics and very simple AS3 for touch to stop animations. But the animations are running so slowly and the sound layer is no longer in sync with the animation.
Does anyone have any experience with this that can advise me on what the issue may be? why would a simple flash cs5 animation struggle as an ipad app? would the file type of the sound files be an issue?
How would you go about creating a timeline animation for an iPhone or iPad application? I'm looking for something like a timeline animation in Flash. I don't need a technical explanation on how to program it, though.So here are some general questions:
- I read something about UIView for PNG sequences, but aren't these kind of animations resource intensive? And what about filesize? PNG can't be compressed like jpeg.
- What about vector-like animations? These would save a lot of kb's.
- Are there animation frameworks like TweenLite/TweenMax/Tweener/... (some well known frameworks for animations in ActionScript)?
Years ago, when I was designing a game site, it was recommended to me to do what you pretty much suggested in your answer to a question about Flash sound: put my sound effects as Flash elements. This works great on every platform except the iPad.
Has anyone succeeded in getting video to play in Flash published for the iPad? I have tried using both the Video and StageVideo classes, but even though they test successfully in the Flash IDE, they do not work on the iPad. I am using CS5.5.
can walk me through something like what this site has for its interactive menu? I don't even know what that kind of interaction is called, so I don't know what to search for.
I want to make simple project which play flash video file from online. I've searched some articles and read carefully. But I can't understand, how to play flash video files on iPad by Code.
I'm using actionscript 2, I've got a preloader working, but now I'm struggling to make an alpha animation play immediately after the preloader. My attempts have ended up with the animation playing during the preloader.
Here is what I would like to do: I have some buttons, then 2 movie clips named container and container2. When I click on a button, an external SWF is loaded into container. I have it working so that when another button is clicked, it plays the exit animation of the current SWF, then loads the new one. Here is the code that I used for that: on a button:
Code: on (release) { if (_root.currMovie == undefined) { _root.currMovie = "who";
[Code].....
What I would like to do, is have a button in who.swf, that will load another external swf into container2, while leaving who.swf in place. Then, when one of the main buttons is clicked, I would like it to play the exit animation of the swf that is currently in container2, then play the exit animation of the swf that is currently in container, then load the new swf into container.
I recently got back into animating and I need some help with my latest project. I have a number of different animations that I would like to be played on the inside of a tv, however I would like for these animations to play at certain times. For example, at 9:00 pm (real time) the tv displays the animation of the character sleeping. I'm not sure how to do this, and I'm not sure if I need an internal clock.
I'm using netstream to show a video in .flv.Over this video I need to show a couple of short animations, and when they play, I need to paus the long video so it doesn't plays in advance in the background.I've got this script to pause the movie:
Code: btnPlay.onRelease = function () { ns.pause(); }
But how do I apply it so that when the timeline hits a certain frame, it calls it. I mean, the user can't really know when to stop to see the animations, so it has to be done at a specific time.
Does anyone knows how something similar can be done: [URL] surface I mean the video clips, which zoom when you mouse over them, then when you click they will go forward, blurring the background. Then on close, everything will go back t the home screen. And all the time the movies inside will play.
I am developing a presentation with data showing up through charts to run in a booth. It generally runs automatically. I want that to be interactive too. If somebody entering the booth want to check the data on clicking on the elements on the presentation.
I have an animation that's heavy and needs to go into the flvPlayback component. It needs to pause automatically and call a sound effect that repeats until the user clicks the play button which is a movie clip that appears via addChild(). It's being loaded by an external swf currently. It works now, just takes a while to load.\
I have a website that uses flash. I would like to convert the website so that iphone / ipad users can see my website. I understand that Iphone / Ipad can't render flash. What would be the best-practice to convert flash website to iphone / ipad compatible?
Is its currently possible to publish a Flash App to iPad? I see Flash CS5 has the ability to publish to iPhone/iPad - is Apple supporting this and will be able to be sold in the App store. It would be a lot simpler for me to code up my next project in flash as opposed to objective c and cocos2d.
We have a ASP.net 3.5 website with a simple flash video that plays in a banner. What would be the easiest way to update this so that the video would play on an iPad?
I´ve built an app for the iOs in flash.I successfully generated de .ipa package but on itunes connect the app shows for iphone and Ipad but i wanted distribute it exclusively on ipad.I think it has something to do with the flash builder options but I can´t seem to find that option on flash builder or on the internet to build exclusively for ipad.Does anyone know to build exclusively for the ipad in flash builder?
I just upgraded to Flash 5.5. When I compile for iOS my cursor disappears. I'm using the following code. It worked great when I compiled it on 5.0 but it stopped working with 5.5
I'm trying to put a mp3 player on my web page and it should work on iPad. So, I learned iPad doesn't support Flash. However, apparently partly it does. I couldn't find the information on this. How is it possible: [URL]. That is a mp3 player working on iPad (when browsing on Safari). However, it uses audiojs.swf (1644 bytes) and without that it doesn't work at all. How can iPad use the swf if Flash is not supported? What is another good free mp3 audio player that works on iPad.
I have a website that has a Flash banner. For devices that do not support Flash (like iPads) I want to display an image instead. What is the best practice to deal with this situation? Should this be handled from the front-end with JavaScript?Should this rather be handled from the back-end? (I am using Java on the back-end)
I'm using Flash CS5.5 and have got swipe gestures responding on my iPad. The only problem is that they don't animate and I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck in replicating the smooth iOS swipes using Actionscript 3.0. I found a solution using ENTER FRAME but it was really slow and jerky.
Apple is obviously rejecting Flash to protect it's 'App' revenue. I've been on Android phones that run Flash and display all my content perfectly smooth. It can be quite frustrating how they are trying to bury it when I still have yet to see HTML5 replicate the type of interactive content Flash is capable of producing. Is there any way to display a message on the iPad when the Flash player is not found? I'd like it to says something along the lines of: "Unfortunately the Apple iPad does not support the Flash player because their business interests do not want it taking away from their App revenue. Did you know that the Dell Streak, HTC Flyer, Blackberry Playbook, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab, Toshiba Thrive, and HP Touchpad all support the Flash player?"
