i am trying to make a new website where i want to add the map of the earth.My problem is that i want to make each country on the map, a different link. so for example if someone will click USA on the map, he will be redirected to a different page, relevant to USA.

At the end of each video, i want an arrows to appear (left or right [or both]) in order for the user to click, so that they can "go into the next room" by watching the next video.
The "undefined" part is to check if an object has a variable set, if the variable is not set it will be "undefined".
To know which is the current video, I think i need to store the object that relates to that video once it starts playing. So any time a video starts, store that object in the variable. But im not sure how to do this.[code]...
i'm trying to build a flash site and ran into a problem... i have a gallery page with a bunch of page numbers at the top. when you click on one, a movieclip loads of some images coming in.so the problem i'm having is that i made a little animation for when you roll the mouse over the page number (they scale up when the mouse is over, scale back when the cursor moves away)... what it's doing is when you roll over, it goes to a certain frame in the timeline and plays that animation.that's all working cool, but i need it to not do that once it's clicked on. so basically when you actually click on a page number, the over script should stop until you go to another page... here's the code i've written,

I created a movieclip animation that only activates when i rollover the movieclip button. I further extended the frames and created another frame animation that i active only when user clicks the button. So i have a roll over/out animation and click animation in the same movieclip in the same layer. Now the problem is that when i click on the button, its supposed to take me to another page, and it does, unfortunately without the click animation. That means after i click on the button its supposed to first finish the click animation and then go to another page. But when i click, it takes me to another page without showing the click animation
SO I tried the If function, but i seem to make a mistake somewhere and i dont know what to do. Now there is no error in script, but onw there is a problem in link, the button finishes the click animation but it does not go to the tarrgeted"about" frame. here's the code

I have a movie clip that loads in the main timeline, when i click on any of my buttons theres a quick flash of the main page. Im loading my movies on level 1 so i guess my question is, how do i get rid of the movie on the main time line?

After the user logs in and is authenticated, the spring security layer sends a redirect to a new URL which is where our main application is located. However, within the flex client, I'm currently using HTTPService for the initial request and I get the redirected page sent back to me in its entirety. How can I just get the URL so that I can use navigatetourl to get where the app to go where it needs to?

This server redirects to the rtmp server and streams the flv from there. I would like to capture this rtmp url in my action script.The _url parameter gives me URL-xyz.com and not the redirected url.Is there any way to capture this redirected url ?
View 1 RepliesI'm busy creating a mp3 player (for a music store). Everything works perfectly. Some of the files will be redirected to the original source (located on other server) when Flash wants to load the stream. In all major browsers this works perfectly except Webkit browsers such as Chrome and Safari. I have tried to send a "Moved Permanently" 301 header as well as a normal redirect but does not work. Also when i try to download it from the address bar nothing happen (in other browsers i get a popup to download the stream).
View 1 RepliesI'm using adobe's example.swf to provide inline flash upgrades for users. However, if the example.swf is embedded in an iframe, and the user gets redirected, adobe will redirect them back to the inner iframe page, causing breakage.
Is there any way for this redirect to bring the user back to the outer frame?
I have made flash music player on http:[url]... - when the user has selected the songs to purchase and click's buy now, the user is redirected to paypal via a loadVars.send('https:url....') command.When I embed the flash player on MySpace or Soundclick for example,the redirect is blocked, and the player doesn't redirect.Is there a way around this, or an alternative to the lv.send method?
View 3 RepliesI'm trying to edit a Flash file, that get it's data from and XML file.Now when you click on one of the menu items, the page + page title should change, but somehow the page title remains the same. (at least for the first 3 menu items) But when you go to the last menu item and then back to one of the first 3 menu items, the correct page title is shown.I'm no flash / AS expert, so I can't really find out what the problem is, but it seems like it has something to do with this function

This is really stupid and unimportant but things like this bug me and make me want to know why they happen. I made a movieclip named "earth1" and put an instance on the stage named "earth". If I refer to "earth" in code I get "1046: Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant: earth." If I use any other name such as "earth12" or "earthMC" it works fine. So I already have a "solution", but what's wrong with the name earth?

I created a really simple preloader, just something for people to look at while the external swf loads. The preloader works fine, but when it reaches 100 it doesn't kick into the external swf, which i thought i called, but I don't know why it isn't work. i tried to hard code the file name, because i can never get relavent file paths to work and it didn't work either.

I'm trying to extend KmlPlacemark in the Google Earth API. Google uses factory methods to create the objects so I can't do something like this:

I tried to simply add methods to each of the objects after they were created

that is actually a tutorial that i got from internet. but, when i tried to change the object, i failed to display the animation of my earth object. i wonder, what is the 'default' means in that code.
If I "Right Mouse Click" on a Flash SWF file embedded in a page and click "Print" it prints just the flash, in perfect colour etc etc..How can I achieve this exact operation, but as a button in Flash? So it prints just as if I did the above operation.
As an extra, if you know how - Is there any way I can default the page to print out "Landscape" too ?
