Media Server :: FMLE Disconnect From FMS + Users Disconnect On Console?

when I'm streaming in live :a. FMLE is disconnect for couple seconds (10 -30), stop encoding and then renew the connection and the encodingb. In the same time, I can see users (streams) are disconnecting/ disappear from the console.As said it can happen once in a session, but this disconnect most of the users and they have to refresh their browserto get the live session again.Currently I'm using FMSS 3.5.4 r210, Linux redhat 5.2,6 Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU 16GB.I found a post named "FMS disconnect from FME" (Jun 7, 2010 3:36 PM by BJWP Ltd)

We are new to FMS and have just deployed a FMS 3.5 for a live streaming project.but I seem to be getting a bit of an issue where the FMLE seems to disconnect and reconect to the FMS several times.but some times the FMLE seems not to be able to reconect back to the FMS. I read somewhere that this bug have been fixed with the FMS version 3.5.3 updater.also I can see the client still connected afoter they drop connection on the admin console.I dont mind setting up the updater but just want to be sure this would fix the problem as I have live web TV on the FMS.Also is there a way to update without loosing all the config? FMS running on Windows 2008 server R2,4mbDual Zeon CPU

After 5-10 minutes of use my application disconnnects all users....does anybody know some general causes of this or how do i fix it...........in the server logs i get code 600 normal disconnect.

I have an fms app which won't disconnect people in IE unless they close the browser completely. Simply going to another url in the browser leaves their name in the peoplelist. I've tried everything here without success. Even IE 8 shows same problem on Vista. IE on XP works fine as well as some versions of IE on Vista.Firefox, opera, chrome all work fine everytime.The problem, it seems, is IE won't "leave" pages until it's closed no matter what.

When a user refreshes the page in IE9, the disconnect handler isn't called. So in an application like a fms lobby, a user seems to stay in the list when he actually isn't there anymore.

URL...I am running application instance that implements publisher/subscriber on video streams. Application code is very thin and can be removed completetly if required. In a specific time, randomly, disconnect messages stopped happening which causes the folowing:
1. Streaming service shows decrease of bw per second
2. Users count is increasing linearly.
3. No disconnect messages apears on access.0x.log

When streaming a live event through FMS 3.5, is there a list of guidelines or best practices to handle the situation when the stream disconnects and should reconnect.Basically, what I do now is wait 20 seconds after the initial disconnect, then close the stream and ask the user to ty to reconnect to the stream again.

how to clear the client entry from Adobe flash Media server 3.5. when net disconnect.i was expecting that on netdisconnect from the client side end(which is connected to FMS) its onDisconnect event fire similarly as it fire for browser close.But when internetdisconnect ondisconnect event not fires at FMS side is there any way to overcome this or any other event fire at that stage?

I got a mxml file that launch a script on my http server through a HTTPService.send() call. Since the script on the server side takes a LOOOONG time (it could take even more than a hour) i would like to drop the connection between my air application and server when a button is clicked. Don't know why but calling HTTPService.disconnect() is totally useless... No tcp connection drops and script keeps on running on server side. No HTTPService.cancel() nor set HTTPService var to null worked.

I have a publisher who publishes a netstream using stratus p2p. This is then connected to by player who subscribes to the netstream.
I believe one can reject the subscriber when the stream tries to connect by using the onPeerConnect method of the netstream's client. However, I would like to boot the subscriber after they have been connected.
There are potentially other subscribers to that netstream so I cannot just close it. How would I boot a particular subscriber without closing the published netstream?

I have a problem where I'm streaming a video via RMTP from akamai for a video serving site and an issue has come up during QA where a user starts a video stream and then disconnects their internet connection, which causes the video player to go into the buffer state. The problem occurs when they reconnect their internet connection and we'd like to pick up the stream again.

My problem and I SWFVerification enabled on the server and saw that FMLE does not connect more, I looked for some explanation and I saw that if that is enabled for SWFVerification you must also change UserAgentExceptions tag <Exception from = "" to =""/> at this point I added this change<Exception From="FME/0.0" to="FME/4.0"/>but I saw FMLE does not connect as little to solve this problem

my name is Göran and I know this is probably the wrong place to post my question but as far as I can see there´s no forum for FMLE here. I´m using the betaversion for mac. I was broadcasting to justin tv last night and decided to try out the record feature i FMLE. It looked like it worked ok and a 125 mb f4v landed on my harddrive. There´s no way I can play it back though or for that matter convert it mov etc etc. What am I doing wrong do I need another special app for playback or converting. Seem a bit strange if this feature is onboard the FMLE but you can´t use it.

1) I am trying to make connection with Flash Media Server to publish live video streaming, and I am sitting behind proxy and firewall, I am not able to make my connection with rtmp that's why I use rtmpt to make my connection with media server to publish .But in this case after publishing some time(ie 5 to 10 minutes) connection break down and streaming get stopped .The same problem occurs when I use "Flash Media Live Encoder 3" to publish live stream .
2) I am making my connection like this "rtmpt://xx.yy.zz.kk:80/Training" where xx.yy.zz.kk represent live System IP where Flash Media Server is running.
3) After analyzing the problem I observed that while publishing the stream ,http requests from Publishing system keeps on increasing and at one time it crosses the limit of proxy server (our proxy can handle 600 http requests per minute from any client PC) so streaming get stopped.
4) Then I attended "adobe connect pro" Trail classroom session by sitting behind the same proxy and firewall,But in this case my live video streaming is not breaking down ,as per my understanding adobe connect pro also use Flash Media Server for streaming.

I have been trying to block incoming connections with fms 4 ent for the live application.I set allowedSWFdomains.txt and allowedHTMLdomains.txt to [URL] so that I block every domain. I don't want any connection to come in and setting the domain to [URL] blocks everything when I try to load. Except using FMLE it allows this no matter what you set in the allowedSWF or allowedHTML what kind of security is this. Does that mean anyone with FMLE can connect to anyones server. How do I actually block connections?

I need to take the some stream which is coming from firewire on mac, and then transcode/encode it to perticular bitrates, then stream.I think from firewire to FMLE, its straight forward. How can i stream? How can i give my clients ( say from mobile, or from any player as a http url streaming) stream? Do i need to use Flash media server, if yes can anybody point out the steps to set-up the same.

I am using FMLE and fms 4 ent. When using fmle to broadcast webcam without audio. It goes really fast. I am on 1gbps connection with nothing else coming to the server at moment. I tested download speeds to and from the server and they are around 700mbs. I have tried all the different audio sample and bit rate settings. All have the same result. Once audio is turned on there becaomes a 15 second delay. What am I doing wrong.

I read that it is best to de-interlace video "at the hardware level" before sending it to FMLE 3.2 for encoding. I have looked and looked for a software or solution but can't find anything that I can work. Is it best to de-interlace before sending the video to FMLE? I am streaming live video that needs de-interlacing before sending to our site. I know there is a "de-interlace" option in FMLE 3.2 but read that it was better to de-interlace the signal before sending to FMLE. I found something called DScaler but don't know how to get the video from DScaler into FMLE 3.2.

i was modified the main.asc script in livepkgr, it used to call s.play(streamObj.name), which i assume this is the code it play the stream from FMLE to s.play("FileName") , which is a flv video file in my application. unfortunately when i start the FMLE stream to the FMS and watch the stream with the FMS Sample Video player, i was expecting to see the video content from the flv, but instead the camera footage in playing on the player.
i am very confusing now, i thought the s.play the only code to control what should be playing in application. or when FMLE is connected to server, the server must play the footage from FMLE by some hidden code, no matter what s.play wanna to play?

New to FMS, testing FMS Developers versions.Connect and Live stream works fine using FMLE.Problem is I'm not sure how to get logged into the Admin Console.I'm not sure about what the "Server Name" is or the "Server Address". As seen the tutorial [URL].. I have successfully implimented the steps. However the problem comes when the stream is disconnected and reconnected again due to network problems. Once the stream is reconnected the video stops coming, even though all 3 streams are succesfully publishing the stream to Flash Media Server but on the client side where I'm using OSMF media player the stream gets stops. Is there any setting that I need to impliment in the OSMF player to resolve this issue ?

I'm trying to start this live broadcasting show throw the free application called "Adobe Flash Media Encoder 3.2", but to start this I would need a serve to start everything. So I decided to experiment with your wonderful "Flash Media Serve 4 :Dev version," before I buy the full version for massive scale of use( to stream live camera.) , but I ran into a problem when I'm in the log in screen console. I can asure you that I typed everything correct from the installation sequence and Im also fallowing this tutorial [URL] when I ran into the login screen this is what I find : an error message saying "Log in attempt has failed.
Please verify your log in information and try again." So that's what I technically do and I get the same message every single time I try. Since I know my password and my username really good , I know im not wrong. But my attempt with server address simes to be the problem.
