I have several SWF files which are essentially little trivia files, provided to me by a 3rd party. They are individual files that number about 20. I am wondering, how can I play this as a list; like a playlist, and then loop back to restart? I'd like to do this in the stand alone player however it can only seem to load 1 file at a time. How I might look to accomplish this looping playlist?
I have 10 to 15 different exe files which I want to play one after another, is there any way to play them. Do I have to make the batch file and play the exe file.
i want to load 4 different .swf at the time while my Intro is playing on the index page. yes now thats the catch. i am working with html. NOT the whole website is in flash. everything is fragmented and separate.[code]this is the website (lets consider so) and while my intro finishes loading and starts playing, i would like all the other 4 "SF*.swf" should be downloaded in the temp files of user comp, if done so successfully, while browsing through the individual html pages, they will not face the loading bar again n again (which becomes irrirtating for the user if they have to wait for each page and look at the % of bytes being downloaded )
1. is it possible to download all these individual swf files in the temp folder of the user comp?
I'm using AS3. I have multiple swf files to load in an array, and then play them from a master swf file. I've found scripts that can do that, but I can't find one to continuously loop through the swf files. I need a script that can load multiple swf files, then loop through them all. This is for a tradeshow display that needs to run all day. They are large files, so memory is a concern.
I have three flv files that I need to play sequentially, one right after the other in the same location (box) in an html document. I have segmented the video because of it's size. Does any one know how I would make this happen or where I can find some sort of tutorial that can assist me with this? I also have another project in which I have 4 animations that I want to play in sequence but they are in different locations on the web page.
I've made several FLV files and they all pause while playing. A 3 minute video 640x360, 37MB will pause 4 times. If I open the page and let it sit about 3 minutes before playing the video, then it will play smoothly but since no one will ever do that I must resolve the issue. Also, once it plays all the way through, then it will play smoothly, but again, I need it to play smoothly the first time someone clicks on it.[URL]..
I want a swf file that will play other swf files one after the other. They are swf, not video files, as I need to change everything on the page when the video stops playing. So, one swf opens with a custom page - plays a video - and then the next swf will open and do the same thing. There's much talk about 'typing stop(); on the last frame of a video" - As far as I can see - everything is automatically sitting on a single frame in Flash - whether it's scene 1, or I open the movie file - the movie is all playing in one frame. If try to simple put different material on a second frame, it loops back and forth between one frame of each movie (it will change the background, and video - but I get only ONE frame of each movie - not the full movie before switching).
I'm using Flash CS4 and I have a jukebox coded in AS3 to play songs 1-4.
If I click publish preview>Flash, everything works fine. The songs load, play, and can have their volumes adjusted.
If I export a swf file and the associated html file, along with the songs in the same directory structure as they were on my computer (in an audio folder in the same directory as the swf), the graphics show up, but the music doesn't play when I click the song buttons.
what I may have done wrong to go from a working publish preview of flash to a non-functional swf and html on the web?
I am putting together a small slideshow of pictures and it's only about 350 frames. I haven't worked with Flash since version 4.0, so I'm still trying to figure out Adobe's setup. 4.0's setup was so easy when it came to replaying a video once it hit the last keyframe, but I'm so lost in this ActionScript stuff.
How do I get the video to loop back and start playing again automatically?
I'm tweaking a flash website for a freind and he wants to have some videos play from a page. There are 25 files and ideally I want to achieve the 'Lightbox' look so that the browser window dims and the video plays over the top. After looking around I haven't found any easy solutions. What is the best way to achieve this, bearing in mind I shall have all these buttons on a page and want to have the video 'float' on top of the actual site?I'm relatively new to this although a long standing flash user when it comes to animation etc - not great on scripting.
Excuse the probably simple question but I'm just starting off with Flash.I have imported a few video trailers directly into flash and saved them as movie clips. I want to be able to insert these movie clips onto the main timeline and play them one after the other, repeating once they have all played. On the main timeline I have set a layer for each clip and a keyframe where the clip is inserted for each layer. When I go to play the flash file, it is showing the first frame from each movie file and then moving to the first frame of the next movie file. What do I need to do to make flash play the entire movie file in that specific frame before moving to the next frame where the next movie file is and playing all that movie?
1. When I make a symbol, I find the reference point always appear on the upper left corner, is there a way I can change the position of that?(besides use javascript?)
2. When I make a animated graphic Symbol, I drag into scene, it always repeat itself so I have to change the instance property to non-loop. Is there a preference which I can preset all the instance to non-loop?
3. if I make 2 animation character in 2 different flash file, how can I combine the 2 files but still keep the layer and key for each character?
I'm creating an interactive flash application that uses hundreds of individual renders from a 3d modelling app. The image file size is 800 x 600. Each sequence that i import to the stage is around 120 images and each gets put into a separate key frame. The problem is, often when I import batches of files into flash the program crashes and stops responding. The problem gets worse after each succesful import ie. after importing the first lot of files, its unlikely that the second lot of files will importInterestingly, I dont have this problem on my pc.
Im always encountering this same bug since I got Flash CS5 everytime I open multiple files on Flash, my instance names lock in this case I have to restart flash and pray the instance names wont lock up again... It's really getting annoying because I could be working on up to 10 files at a time which forces me to individually open each file everytime I start my project.
I have a drop down menu whereby the clicking of a button causes it to move to a specific keyframe in the timeline. I also have multiple buttons which load external swf files. The problem is when i navigate to the drop down menu the loaded external files keep dissapering because they are not on the keyframe where the drop down menu is actuated. Is there any way of coding it so that which ever swf file is loaded remains there whilst the drop down menu moves to its specific stage in the timeline?
I'm trying to get a .swf (a game, with three total .swf files: main, title, game) onto my site and am having a problem. I understand how to actually do it and make it run (publish as HTML, copy/paste code in Dreamweaver, etc..), but my problem is having multiples .swf files and them not loading. When I embed code for one of the files, the page will play that .swf file and won't load the next .swf file (Main just contains a loader that loads title, Title will load the game .swf when prompted, Game will run). If I just 2x click the .swf files in my folder it will work, as will an .exe, but can I make it so each .swf file will play in HTML?
I am new flash developer, and inherited a project which has 4 fla project files. When it runs inside a browser, it appears "window" which occupies whole browser. This project is write in Flash CS3. I have few questions:
1). When loading main swf file, 3 other swf files are also loaded. These swf files are communicating with each other through message. When debug the mail swf with CS3, I can set breakpoint and the program can stop only at limited AS files. My questions is how to debug other AS files in other swf file?
2) I used CS5. It seems that I can stop at more AS files, which does not belong to main swf file. Why?
My questions is should I use CS5, which might makes debugging easier? Is it right direction to go to debug multiple swf? (For CS5, I need to fix some code in order to make the program fully working as CS3)
3) What's best tool to use for such project since CS3 is very old. Should I use Flash builder, Flex. Amethyst?
I am using AS2 in CS5.5.I am creating a project for a class that introduced me to adobe flash. The issue is I have gotten to a certain point about 15 scenes. During say the 15th scene scrolling through the timeline animations works fine, playing it on test scene works fine. When I go to play it on test movie it stops at a certain point. At first I thought it might have been a misplaced stop action but there is none to be found. The weird part is every other scene I create after that continues to freeze as well, the images are there, but the animations won't play. All my previous animations play before those with the issue, it's justThese new ones won't play for some reason in test movie, but work completely fine in test scene and the timeline.
I have a group of 16 images that I would like to load 1 of each into each movieclip. I want image1 to be inside of visual1, image 2 inside of visual2, and so on. the images are named like, 1960s_(1).png where the 1960 (year) part is coming from the rangeNum variable. The above gives me this error: 1061: Call to a possibly undefined method addChild through a reference with static type int.
How do i word a for loop to make it loop through multiple arrays?I want 1 for loop to loop through multiple arrays in order to move/alter objects.I want to keep the arrays separate.
ActionScript Code: characters = new Array(); characters[0] = male;
i have been building a library that has thumbnails which you click to view the full image. i have built the application it works but i want to change the way the image on the actual thumbnail loads using code instead of manually adding the value to the url loader component.
var myX;var instanceN:String;trace(instanceN);var currentLoad:uint = 0;// current loader and image loadingvar thumbnailURL:String;//Thumbnail URLvar thumbReq:URLRequest;// Thumbnail url requestfor(var k:uint = 0;k < iL_btn.length; k++)[code].....
the loop runs fine without the last line of code which i've commented out.the make up of these thumbnails are a uiLoader component which are each inside there own movieClip.what i wanted this to do was every time the loop runs it currentLoad adds 1 to its value then that value is subbed into instanceN:String and thumbnailURL address that bit works the trace statements read correctly.but my issue is using the instanceN value as the instance name path which then loads the current thumbnailURL value which is the URL address for the thumbnail picture.when i try to load the url address using the commented out code above i got the error .TypeError: Error #1010: A term is undefined and has no properties.the trace statements correct values below
the first value is the currentLoad value.
the second value is the instance name path.
the third is is the URL address for the thumbnail.[code].....
ok so i have a button that plays an animation for fire when held down. and when realsed goes to and stops and frame one. when it reaches the end of the time line it goes to and plays at frame 10 and goes back to the end of the timeline. I have a sound for the fire animation that plays for the effect. The problem is the sound keeps going untill its over even if the button isnt held down. and when the playhead reaches the end of the timeline it goes to and plays and frame 10 and it replays the sound. if i hold it down it will just keep playing the sound over and over from start to finish. what i want it to do it when i hold the button down i want it to play the sound and when released it stops the sound where ever it is at. I also dont the sound to play again if there is a sound already going to stop it from playing 20 sounds at one time it gets loud and you need asprin after about 5 seconds of that.
I would like to know whether swf files can play in an FLV Player or not. If not possible, is there any option for developing an independent swf player. the technique that can be used to develop swf player.
What I want is to open start.swf, have it embed moviecontainer.swf which has a FLV playback object that loads in the movie.flv. When I check my moviecontainer.swf, it runs properly. But when I use start.swf it loads moviecontainer.swf (because I can see it has the background and all) but the movie won't play (and I think the buttons don't work anymore)
I have saved both .swfs with the "Local files only" option. I have no idea what the problem can be, as I said, I'm no Flash pro and I have no experience as to say "oh it looks like we got that xyz problem.."
I just upgraded to Flash cs5 from studioMX and find that cs5 won't play swf's from my old files properly.Does anyone have a fix or work around. I downloaded the lastest upgrade from Adobe's site and it still isn't working.
I'm working with Flash CS4 on Windows Vista. I made a simple animation. Then, I added a top layer for ACTIONS and added functions at the last keyframe. The function is-- stop(); -- Should not be hard, could not be more basic then that! Well, it doesn't work. Animation still play as loop.
I have a flash document that I want to loop twice after playing most of it, then play the rest of the file on the third playthrough and stop. Here is what I have so far.
