I found this program called Flash Slideshow maker professional and it is very easy to put together etc. I try to add it into dreamweaver but when I try to select the Go Live button in dreamweaver its blank instead of my flash slideshow.

The problem is related to my project MovieMaker .Users can upload the photos and based on the photos uploaded the xml is generated and the user can apply transition effects and can add songs also to make a movie.Finally when the Movie is generated then the problem occurs.The problem is that the movie created still needs the Xml file for fetching the images and songs.But To any user who has applied the transition effects and uploaded songs and images,I want to give him only swf file nothing else.no xml,no images,no songs.Means The song,images,etc which are coming from xml should be contained in the library of the generated swf.How can I do that ??

I haven't seen many examples of Flash outputing dynamic images... the best one I could find was, oddly enough, on a movie website for Starsky and Hutch. They have a Flash application that lets users build their own wallpaper and then offers it up as a JPG: [URL] I'm thinking Flash 8's bitmap features would allow this to happen, but then again, that movie came out two years ago... how did they make it work back then?
I have a little problem with a simple URLLoader,it simply just loads the data from an url, and processes that data, nothing complicated. But, when ever i run it, it leaves the connection open. At the bottom of the browser it says:
Transfering Data From www....
The data is read sucessfully, so it should close the connection? but doesnt seem to want to do it. Is there anyway to close all open connections, or somehow remove such message?

I have a database with images and I want them to show up in a gallery-overview, like a matrix of images. Through an XML file I get the total of images. Based on that number I want the overview to be built, stopping the duplication of movieclips when the total of images is reached. So you kinda get something like this: See? It stops when the amount of 13 is reached and doesn't continue to fill up the third row.
I'm new to Flash and I need to learn how to do a slideshow with exactly the same features as can be found in this link: [URL]. Just like at the link above, it needs to play through the slides automatically once the page is loaded, each slide needs to link to a specific URL, and I need controls similar to the boxes at the bottom so the viewer can click on any specific slide they wish to view (I'd like to have numbers in the boxes though). The transitions don't have to slide across like this. If a fade is easier, that would be fine.
Actually, I thought I'd be able to do this fairly easily with Flash Catalyst, so I updated to Adobe CS5 Design Premium. I found that Flash Catalyst can be used to create a slide show like this, but unfortunately it won't play automatically when the page loads and the viewer has to manually click through the slides, which is not what I need. I could be wrong, but from what I've read, I need Flash Builder to add code so the slide show will play automatically if I create it in Flash Catalyst.

My boss has asked me to find/create a program which can be used for each employee to add his/her hours to a specific project (and possible subprojects) and have a sheet (preferably printable) with an overview. My only "real" scripting knowledge atm is AS3, I do have some small experience with jQuery, and trying to expand that knowledge so I can work with HTML5 [URL]. And I have worked, once in a blue moon , with PHP. Would it be a "weird" decision to just create this myself within Flash/Air? And use xml/txt to store the hours locally?
I have a nice as3 swf that reads and xml file, and loads images with transitionsfor a slide show on an html banner page.This works fine. There are some users that see white space (the stage) before thefirst image loads. Depending on the clients connection, etc this can take aslong as 2 or 3 sec.
I was thinking about placing a jpeg in the fla, and adding it to the stageas a symbol or graphic, so instead of white space (or a color other than white)the user sees an image on the page, and when the xml loader places the first image on the page, the user sees the image, and the slideshow, etc.
I'd like the slideshow to have a black boarder box with a white background. I've got two buttons which I have made in Photoshop for previous and next image. I want the background of the slideshow to be white and images to be placed into this box for the user to be able to manually go through the images.

3. I understand how to create a square button over text and mess with its up/down/over/click settings, but I am wondering how I can do something like change the color of the text when it is clicked or when the mouse is over it? Right now I only know how to change the color of the square button.
I have been searching for hours for simple (mouse event) script that will pause my slideshow when I rollover it with the mouse....then play again when the mouse isn't over it...I will be targeting an instance (transparent movie clip that is over the stage and it extends the length of the movie).
Is there a good place that has an overview of how Flex layout stuff is managed? I'm trying to create some user-resizeable "windows" in Flex, but I'm having some trouble getting the layout calculations for the contents correct. Right now I'm just trying to get a good understanding of how Flex calculates its layouts, but I haven't found any good overview documentation. I'm in the middle of building a simple flash slideshow, using alpha fades between images. I have three layers, the first one being text, on the timeline for each layer/image. The other two layers are images, small footprint (sized and optimized in photoshop, each less than 100k). When I hit the Enter key it will play on timeline but the preview and fla file just won't start, hung up on the first frame. Flash 5 Pro 11.0.2.489 iMac 3.2 Intel i3 10.6.6, 8GB Ram
I have created two photo slideshows to put on a site I'm working on. One is on the home page and it seems to work fine. The second is on another page. This one is not working for some reason. I published it in the same way I did the first from Flash Professional. When I post the slide show on the home page it works. When I take the slidshow from the homepage and put it on the second it does not work.

I am wondering if anybody can tell me how to create a picture PUSH. I have three images that I wish to work with. By pushing I mean having an image come in from the left (or right) and place itself on top of the other (or pushing the other out of view). Like a slide show of three images scrolling along but one stops for a brief period before the other image comes into view.

I have used this slideshow for few projects and all I've done in the past is import new images (about 100k) and publish. The image are bit map of type (png) not big about 100k size.
Without saving the file I do a "test movie". Instead of doing the slideshow it displays the first image but doesn't loop through the rest.
I'm at a bit at a lost here. The path to the image in bitmap properties on the origanal file in imported is relative but when I select a new image its full path.
