I found this program called Flash Slideshow maker professional and it is very easy to put together etc. I try to add it into dreamweaver but when I try to select the Go Live button in dreamweaver its blank instead of my flash slideshow.

View 1 RepliesThe problem is related to my project MovieMaker .Users can upload the photos and based on the photos uploaded the xml is generated and the user can apply transition effects and can add songs also to make a movie.Finally when the Movie is generated then the problem occurs.The problem is that the movie created still needs the Xml file for fetching the images and songs.But To any user who has applied the transition effects and uploaded songs and images,I want to give him only swf file nothing else.no xml,no images,no songs.Means The song,images,etc which are coming from xml should be contained in the library of the generated swf.How can I do that ??

I haven't seen many examples of Flash outputing dynamic images... the best one I could find was, oddly enough, on a movie website for Starsky and Hutch. They have a Flash application that lets users build their own wallpaper and then offers it up as a JPG: [URL] I'm thinking Flash 8's bitmap features would allow this to happen, but then again, that movie came out two years ago... how did they make it work back then?
I'm new to Flash and I need to learn how to do a slideshow with exactly the same features as can be found in this link: [URL]. Just like at the link above, it needs to play through the slides automatically once the page is loaded, each slide needs to link to a specific URL, and I need controls similar to the boxes at the bottom so the viewer can click on any specific slide they wish to view (I'd like to have numbers in the boxes though). The transitions don't have to slide across like this. If a fade is easier, that would be fine.
Actually, I thought I'd be able to do this fairly easily with Flash Catalyst, so I updated to Adobe CS5 Design Premium. I found that Flash Catalyst can be used to create a slide show like this, but unfortunately it won't play automatically when the page loads and the viewer has to manually click through the slides, which is not what I need. I could be wrong, but from what I've read, I need Flash Builder to add code so the slide show will play automatically if I create it in Flash Catalyst.

There are some users that see white space (the stage) before thefirst image loads. Depending on the clients connection, etc this can take aslong as 2 or 3 sec.
I was thinking about placing a jpeg in the fla, and adding it to the stageas a symbol or graphic, so instead of white space (or a color other than white)the user sees an image on the page, and when the xml loader places the first image on the page, the user sees the image, and the slideshow, etc.
I'd like the slideshow to have a black boarder box with a white background. I've got two buttons which I have made in Photoshop for previous and next image. I want the background of the slideshow to be white and images to be placed into this box for the user to be able to manually go through the images.

View 6 RepliesI'm in the middle of building a simple flash slideshow, using alpha fades between images. I have three layers, the first one being text, on the timeline for each layer/image. The other two layers are images, small footprint (sized and optimized in photoshop, each less than 100k). When I hit the Enter key it will play on timeline but the preview and fla file just won't start, hung up on the first frame.

I have created two photo slideshows to put on a site I'm working on. One is on the home page and it seems to work fine. The second is on another page. This one is not working for some reason. I published it in the same way I did the first from Flash Professional. When I post the slide show on the home page it works. When I take the slidshow from the homepage and put it on the second it does not work.

View 1 RepliesI have used this slideshow for few projects and all I've done in the past is import new images (about 100k) and publish. The image are bit map of type (png) not big about 100k size.
Without saving the file I do a "test movie". Instead of doing the slideshow it displays the first image but doesn't loop through the rest.
I'm at a bit at a lost here. The path to the image in bitmap properties on the origanal file in imported is relative but when I select a new image its full path.

I have Flash CS4, but the tutorial I used to create this used Action Script 2.0.[URL] This is just a basic mockup of the site, but you can see that the client wants to have images of the pages of their publication that you can browse and have their advertising be clickable so it takes you to Coke's site for example. The example you see there I did in Flash, but I was having trouble making the hotspots be active at the right time -- i.e. right now Morningside market is clickable even when the image is not up, and then it goes away and the hotspots I have on Coke aren't working.
The client also wants to have links to each page by number i.e. Front Cover/1-2/2-3. So I saw that that part would be easy to do in Fireworks, but can't figure out the clickable aspect. Then on the other hand, in Flash, I can't get it all to work either.

If you click on the "Issues" link, you will see a slideshow comes up.
If you click on the "Campaign" link, you will a page come up with links on the side, and a bare space to the left.
In the blank space, there is supposed to be a slideshow to come up. When I test the site on my computer, it comes up perfectly fine. But, when I load it to the server, it does not show up.
The ONLY difference in these pages is that the "Campaign" page is a scrollable page, where as the "Issues" page is not. I have tried to resize the scrollable page, and move it to the right side of the page, but it makes the text unreadable- even after resizing the box, and such. I have tried to change the slideshow into a symbol. I've tried a couple of other things, but to no avail.
I have tried several navigation scripts and z-index all over the place but no matter what I try the sub-folders of my navigation on my homepage always gets hidden by the slideshow. I have a slideshow, and I would like to have a loading scene right before it. on the last frame of the loading scene, i have:
