Professional :: Screen Blinks Or Blanks For A Sec During Movie?

I am an absolute newbie to flash, trying to pick it up for my website. I am trying to create a loader clip, which so far only shows clouds rolling across the screen. But I even before the clip loops, the screen goes blank for about half a second or less and then resumes from where it blanked. I can't understand why this is happening, and it is making the entire clip look weird.I have not used any Actionscript code. Only simple classic tweens. I am using Flash CS4. Also, the tween is just showing the clouds move from one end to the other, it is contained within the following structure.Scene 1 (single frame containing loader_mc) - > loader_mc (Main loader clip - no motion here, just a single frame containing cloud_mc) - > cloud_mc (Cloud rolling clip - about 110 frames)The structure is made so that more movie clips can be added to loader_mc.

I have a .swf file that was developed by one of my programmers, and the source .fla file has become totally corrupted, and as a result the backup was corrupted as well. I am not sure if it was developed in Flash CS3, MX or 8. I tried 3 different softwares to deconstruct the file, and I was only getting the file to reproduce in a fast blinking redundant loop when played. So it seems as if it did not deconstruct properly.

What seems like a basic question, but my flash knowledge is basic. Can I rotate an entire flash animation/document before/when exporting it as a (swf) movie? (The movie is going to be displayed on a plasma digital sign, which is turned 90 degrees so it displays vertically, but the creative must be supplied horizontally).

I have Video Screen on my background image. Where I have masked the movie file to fit that screen. But still it is in square shape, because I can't shape my movie file exactly as screen. I tried with free transform tool but it is also not useful. The perspective tool like in Photoshop sure will work. Is there any such tool in flash cs4? Please help me in this regard.
Still there is black right top and right bottom which to be covered by movie.

Not sure why this is happening but everytime I test a movie (CTRL+ENTER) in Flash movie it produces a blank white screen. I even created a new Flash file with a simple Shape but it still gives me that blank white screen when I run test movie. It does, however, run correctly when I click the *.swf that got generated. I'm not sure if my work recently upgraded me to a newer version of Flash Player.

When i click cancel on the print dialog box, i get error below and it blanks out my swf. The error consists, that whenever i try to print and cancel it, or even when i do succesfully print, swf goes blank.

I've got a number of related projects set up in Flash Builder. Each project gets its graphical assets from an exported SWC file (or multiple SWC files.) This works fine, but I wanted to create a shared project that contains stuff used across all projects. The first item in there is a screen with a number of clips containing dynamic text fields on them. This screen (and associated assets) are exported to a SWC and then I have written code in the shared project to add functionality to the screen and buttons. I'm using 2 fonts, both are embedded.
Both show up just fine in my test harness, but when I link the shared SWC and src folder (which is required in order to use this code/assets in the other projects) the textfields blank out if I try to set their text properties. If I leave the default text (set in the FLA) it shows up, and the static text fields in the FLA also show up, it's only when I set the text property.
I've tried a number of combinations, including removing embedding, exporting for ActionScript, setting all textfields in the shared project to dynamic, all with no luck. The main project does have the same font embedded, and I've checked that the same glyphs are selected in both the main and shared projects. I realize this is a rather complicated setup, but I have yet to find a workflow to allow a designer and developer to work on large projects that is better (but I'd love to hear one!)

I'm new to Adobe Flash CS4. I'm making an animation of some fish underwater. I have 2 small fish motion tweened to follow a large fish from left to right. When I view the animation in full screen the small fish seem to be wiped off the screen at a certain point. The tween box continues to follow it's path but the symbol disappears. This only seems to happen with larger objects.

Is a command for AS2 to make my movie file play fullscreen (stretch, fit to screen, anything).
goFullScreen(); is great but it leaves white bars left and right. What's odd is that I'm using Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder and it seems to display a perfect widescreen that I want as an input and output but once compiled in flash, it's more square leaving me with white bars left and right. The frame for the video in flash is also widescreen looking.
edit: I ended up stretching the width of the frame but if there is a better way through a command that would make my life easier so I don't have to adjust to every monitor that I run this on.

My question is what needs to be done in order to make a .swf file go into full screen without falling to a black screen when a movie is played? I have tried coding it, however I come up with the following error.

my computer and my friends but it doesn't happen on other computers. This happens in firefox and internet explorer. I am using the latest flash 10 player and the latest browsers. When I play certain AS3 like this onethe whole flash screen disappears when I push the "play again" button. I know the flash is still there because when I right click it, it describes the flash player.I've used to flash uninstaller, restarted the computer and tried it again but the problem still exist. My only known option left is to re-install the browser. Has any one seen this kind of problem before?

I want my movie to loop. Would prefer an If/Else loop so that the movie plays a certain number of times then plays the opening of a screen then stops. This is a simple 4 screen ad I am doing for a school project. Can't get it to work. I tried containing my code in the proper loop syntax, didn't work. Then wrapping the loop in a function and calling that with a timer event, didn't work. My final solution was to call my whole movie in a timer event set to play once. Then calling the entire movie again in a second timer event set to play 20 times and set to start at an interval when the first movie ended. This did work but each time the movie plays thru function calls drop off making the movie degrade.

when my website screen is loading the Flash content may take a second or two to load and what I am getting is an area with a white border and and little 'x' in the left hand corner. Just been to a clients and it did it on their computer also. Have a look at my index screen to see what I'm talking about [URL] Is this just how it is or is there something I can do to sort this, like get rid of the border, or something??
I use SlideshowPro and Flash Eff with Flash CS4 so not mega into doing Flash from scratch so go easy on me if this requires some mad code or something.

Just fired up Flash CS5 to a surprise. My screen-based SWF from years ago will no longer load. how does one achieve the equivelant of nested screens in CS5 now? I have outer chrome that's common to all screens and switch between nested screens to show different shared form screens that get populated with content from a database. Short of duplicating the shared content over and over, how do you get the layered effect I'm after? Does everyone simply jump around on the master timeline? Or does CSS play a role here?

I'm using Flash CS5. I have created an Input Text box, but for some reason, the only numerals that apear on the screen when typed are 0, 1, and 2. If one types 3, etc., they just don't appear.
Also, I have a dynamic text box for which when I do the following, it only shows "lease type a number from 1 to 12." with no "P".

I have published my Flash site to the web server but I notice that it doesn't display correctly in smaller resolutions (I think the smallest it looks best in is 1024 x 768)... the bottom keeps getting cut off when viewed in any small resolution. I figure this is something that can be corrected in the HTML file so if someone can show me what exactly I need to put into that file, that would be great. I am having a slight issue, i have created a flash file 800 x 600,But i need to split it into half... i already have animations on both halfs which overflow to the off screen,Is there a way of cutting the content in half via width (400x600)? (im uploading the content into a system which requires it in 2 halfs and also if i have any content off screen is messes up...)
