Professional :: Can't Find The Animation Panel

I'm presently working with the trial version of CS5 while my work sorts out my new laptop and licence.One thing, hopefully simple, that is confusing me is that I can't find the animation panel. I would like to be able to apply motion presets while changing the properties of the preset. E.g. have a bounce over a longer time, with a shorter vertical drop, etc. Help files say to use the animation panel, Window > Interactive > Animation.But I can't find this. If I look in my Windows menu, I can't find a submenu called "Interactive". How can I find this panel?

I just downloaded Flash CS5 for mac which installed without any errors. However, when I first launched the software I am getting the following error: The following panel layout is missing or could not be read: /users/rob/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Flash CS5.5/en_US/Configuration/Workspace/Essentials.xml The application will not have a correct layout. load one from Windows ->Workspace Once past this message none of the panels load.

i am trying to review flash for our game thesis in school. i am trying to read a pdf file about flash and i am trying to do the examples listed in the notes.but i can't find the location of the project panel. Well i know where it lies if i used my own laptop with the prescribe flash in it. (FYI, i am using the company's installed flash in my assigned computer. i am an ojt here and since i finished their project early, i dont do much here anymore) so as pass time, i study flash for our thesis (my boss doesn't mind. He believed learning is good)The flash installed here i thinks is a bit old version. and honestly, i can't apply what i am learning since the setup is way different.So does anyone knows where the project panel is located? or if it is close, where can i open it? The company is using a Macromedia Flash MX by the way,

This is kind of a lame complaint, but any benefit I have gained from upgrading from CS4 to CS5 is being eclipsed by the frustrating change that while I am trying to use the "Find" tool in the "Actions" panel, as soon as I hit "Find Next" the Actions panel closes and I have to close the Find tool then re-open the Actions panel then again to see if it found what I was looking for then re-open the Find tool if I need to go to the next instance. I know this does not seem like the biggest of deals, but is there a way to fix this?
I will also add that this happens when the panel is clicked from the icon. If the whole panel is free floating it works fine, but then it is obviously blocking the whole stage, and I have to collapse it to an icon to see anything. There is also the possibility that it is computer/OS difference since my CS4 machine and my CS5 machine are two different computers one running XP and the other running Vista.

I have a map in a panel.When maximizing the panel,the map remain the smaller size.How to make the map growing synchronizely with the Panel? When maximizing the Panel,I added Resize Effects.How to apply Resize effects on the Map when the extent of the map changing? It seems to me that I should dispatch extentChange event when maximizing the panel.

I discovered this while doing some programmatic panel resizing:Components in a spark Panel will still be visible when their location is outside the physical Panel boundaries. This does not happen with the mx Panel.unning Flex 4.1 on Windows 7I tried putting mx and spark controls in the spark Panel, and they both appear outside of the boundaries. Note this doesn't happen with the mx Panel. What am I missing to make the spark behave like the mxSample Code:

I have a problem where every time i close flash normally (it's not crashing) and fire it up again, my timeline panel is missing. I have to press ctrl+alt+t or window>timeline to bring it up again and reposition it. What's going on here?

Is it possible to import an .swc in the library panel... What I mean by that is to use it as a kind of shared library with my movieclip inside. I can create a new class from it but I'm wondering if its possible just to drag and drop from the library panel the mc's in my swc.

I have seen many tutorials where there is a panel at the bottom with "properties", "filters" and "parameters". But I don't have that panel. I have tried to change workspace but I can't get this panel. When I choose (Window > Properties) I only get a properties panel on right side but It's not that panel I'm looking for.

ok lets say you create a button that when held down play an animation of 20 frames if realsed it goes to frame one and stops if held down it plays out this animation. for the topic lets say you have a fire animation and you want the fire to apear and if the user hold its down the animation reaches the end of the time line and loops back and plays the last 5 frames of the animation and as soon as it is let go it goes to and stops at frame one. Well i know how to make a button that when held down plays out an animation. And i know how to say when released goes to and stops at frame one. What i dont know how to do is to loop the fire at the last 5 or 6 frames so the user can hold it down all day long and play out that animation.

I have a certain set of motion twains that I've successfuly completed, they constantly loop right now (default), and is saved in the SWF file.I'd like to take that finished looping animation, and insert it within another animation (a) that can be played with a play button, and stopped/resetted with a stop button.How do I insert the completed looping animation into the main animation? And is there something special I have to do in the actionscript of the start and stop buttons so that the "inner" looping animation will start and stop with the "outer" main animation?

I have 50 to 70 scenes in my flash files. Becasue of purpose i used these much scenes. my problem is am not able to do scroll in the scene panel. if i click the last scene the slider always goes up... not scrolling exact place where i clicked.

My global storage settings are set for 1) 'none' , 2)allow 3rd party..unchecked and 3) store common flash... unchecked. I can make changes but when i click another tab and come back to the storage settings tab every thing is still set for 'none' etc. This is true for all the tabs. no change I make is retained once another tab is activated or if I close the browser page. I have uninstalled flash and reinstalled. Searched and deleted every entry in the register that I thought may be relevant but no change. would like to be able to enable these options

I'm using flash cs5.5 and today I opened my project to start working... just to find out that the project panel does not work. When I click the tab to expand it, flash hangs for a minute and then it works, but the panel is blank, empty. The odd thing, I saved the project as CS5 version to open it in the CS5 Flash, but CS5 it's broken too.
I tried opening Flash (both versions) without loading any project and the tab does not work either.

On a horizontal bar, text scrolls from left to right, continuously. The text is a fixed string of city names, and I've made it so that it loops nicely. This horizontal bar with scrolling text is part of a vertical animation, scrolling the bar in and out of view. The vertical tween starts after two seconds. When the vertical tween starts, the horizontal animation has started as well. At the beginning and end of the vertical tween, the horizontal tween starts over. I want it to continu.

Ive used the excellent tutorial to create a scrolling thumb panel ([URL]) It works brilliantly and I have movie thumbs linking to a flash player. It all works fine, what change the scrolling. At current it scrolls up and down according to where I have set the 'line', I would like it to scroll up and down near the top and the bottom, rather than all the time (effectively creating a dead zone in the middle). I cant figure out how to change the code to get this to behave as required.

I have created a line on the stage with the Line tool, and then want to edit the Stroke and Style in the Properties panel. However, after creating the line these options are greyed out and not available to me. Even if I then select the Line with the Selection tool, I cannot edit the Stroke or the Style.

Ok the issue I'm having with flash is that the windows on the right side of my flash window do not snap up when I collapse a window. I am attaching a screen shot to better explain this issue.As you can see I have the color panel collapsed up, when I expand this panel and it goes down everything shifts down. however when I collapse it back up a huge gap is left behind in CS5.5 as is displayed in screen shot number 2. In CS4 I never had this problem. I could expand and collapse panels as I saw fit with no problems what so ever. Everytime now that I expand a panel and collapse it, the library or other panels do not move up with the collapsing. This causes a workspace issue. and forces me to drag up the library via the black line that is just above it but below the align panel so that I have better access to my library or properties panel for when I'm working. I find this highly annoying and would like it if there could be a fix produced to make it so this collapsing issue can be fixed and I don't have to waste time dragging up the library/properties panel everytime I need to access stuff in my library when I have a huge list of graphics I'm going through.
