In Freehand 9 I created a logo. Logo has an rgb mix blue base rectangle and rgb white drawn shapes on top. I also drew over the text and gave it the rgb blue as a fill with line none. Feb 15, 2010A while ago, I created a replacement shell to run as a front end for a cybercafe. It was nothing fancy; just a flash movie that had button links to IE and a few trusted applications.
I'm trying to develop it further now and am wondering two things:
1. Is it possible to send an application to a frame within a movie? For example, have a static movie at the top with links, then when a button is pressed, the menu remains but the application opens below without overlapping. I know I can use HTML and frames but really want to keep it all in one movie/swf.
2. Is it possible to build on the above and have some sort of application lister that will allow you to switch between the two applications you have running. For example, a user may open IE, then open Word. Word has now replaced IE and I want the user to have a simple click button to go back to an existing window rather than open another instance from the menu.

Nov 23, 2010Working on the following site [URL] On the "What we Do" page (one click to the right) each company logo is linked using the Action Script 2 below. Only the "Zipfizz" button works though. The rest of the buttons only work very rarely. I made a stock button from a white box then turned the opacity to 0. Put one over every logo with the proper dimensions and gave them the right instance names. If you click the logo repeatedly in different areas the link will sometimes work. Anyone have an idea what's going on? I not very familiar with AS2, only AS3 but the site was built by another designer awhile ago.

Say I have created all the common components of my webpage, which will be the same across all pages e.g. header, footer, navbar etc. Each of these are there own individual movieclip. The only part of each webpage which changes will be the center content. Should I select all the common components movieclips, and create one movieclip out of them all? Is this common practice or should I keep them separate?

Sep 29, 2010I'm trying to create a flash program that uses it's own code to send and create images. Each square has a colour and that colour gets added into the array. A black, then grey, then white is:
filecode = ["Bl", "Gr", "Wh"];
That works fine, but when I try to paste it into an Input text box it will only fill in the first part of the array.
filecode = ["Bl,Gr,Wh"];
So the program has NO idea what I want.The only ways I can think of fixing this is by putting in 402 text boxes to suit every box...But every one of them needs a Variable Name.Or by sending the information straight into the array. But this way you are just looking at what you just drew, and that is not at ALL practical.

Nov 22, 2010I'm trying to create an animated movie clip button in AS2 using CS5. The button should fade in/out as the mouse moves over and away from the button.Lets say my frame rate is 30 FPS. When I insert a motion tween on frame 1, the timeline is automatically extended by 30 frames. I then select frame 30, select the button and change the alpha value to 30%. When I drag the head marker back and forth, the button fades in and out smoothly exactly as I wanted.But I want to create a motion tween between frame 1 and 10. So I select frame 10, insert a keyframe, select frame 5 and insert a motion tween. Then I select frame 10, select the button and change the alpha value to 30% like before. When I drag the head marker, there is no fade in/out. When the head marker is exactly over frame 10, the button is faded, but when it is on any frame between 1 and 9, it is normal.

Dec 27, 2011My problem is this: I have 16 x different sizes of flash files. (banners) That's 1 set. Now I have to make another 20 different sets with 20 different logo's in them.(320 banners total) So the long and harse way to do this is open all 320 banners and then replacing the logo in them one by one.
My solution was to make 1 set and load a logo dynamically using the AS2 loadMovie function. But if I do that I have to have a logo image file in the same directory. My client doesn't accept this. He only wants flash files.
So, how do I embed a image dynamically on publish. So that if i'm finished with publishing banners I can just throw the image away because it's in the flash file loaded already.
