Professional :: Embedded Video (flv) On Animation Disorders All The Movie?

I embedded a video flv to use as part of the animation but its breaking apart the rest of the animations. Started well then suddenly flash stopped the flv at certain points and then actions to other parts of the slideshow started to look like a fast forward and jumping transitions. No errors on the output panel.
I can't seem to download the flash files from the address.i click on page info and find the embeded flash, but can't download it. Another, how can I convert flash files from youtube to my ipod? I found an excellent flv converter, but not knew if it could convert flash from youtube. How to make flash suitalbe for youtube?
I am looking for a video player that can be embedded in a webpage and can play .swf files. I have tried Strobe Media Playback but it has a lot of bugs to it for .swf.
I have an flv video file that I've imported into Flash CS5 project as an embedded movie, because graphic and movie clip both produced still images. I want to embed the final product onto my website, and have the video autostart in the beginning, play all the way through, and then go back to frame 40 or so and loop continuosly from there. I've tried selecting the final frame and applying the instancename.gotoandplay (40); code but it isn't working. I read that this only works on keyframes, so I tried making the final frame a keyframe but because it is an flv file for some reason it isn't allowing me to do that.
I have a video that I've embedded into a project by means of linking it from my server, where it lives (not embedding it into the actual project) and I cant for the life of me find a way to get the video to continually loop when it finishes. Any looping meathod I've found so far using AS3 only loops the basic animations in the movie, not the video.
I have a website in Flash CS4. When testing the movie, my swf file plays. When I access another menu button, the movie still plays and you still hear the sound. I have the skin where the user can stop the movie before going to other pages in the site but my Question is: How can I get the movie to stop playing if another menu button is clicked? I ask because when I go to another page and come back, the video is not showing but I still hear the audio.
I have this site I'm doing in Flash with an embedded video. The site has background music that is loading automatically, but when the embedded movie loads, the volume on that is mixed in witht he sites music. If you mute the sites background music, it mutes the video sound as well. Make sense? How can I seperate them out or make the sites background music not load on that particular page.
My question is how do I incorporate playback controls to a Embedded Video that plays with the timeline? I saw how easy it was to add playback components when you import video externally. I figured that I probably need to start by creating my play back components, but then I need code to tell the swf what to do?
I've searcehd but haven't found anything similar. I am trying to add animation to an educational video that I produced. I am new to Flash but already love it - have used for several presentations at work with my higher students and it's been really, really effective so far.
I have done two things: Imported an .flv of the video that I am trying to add animation to but only see the first and last shots in my timeline. How can I add text and tweens throughout the movie using flash? Or can't I?
I am having a problem with a project for school. In a video I am making, I need to add animation over a live video. For example, in one scene, I have videotaped myself running. Now, I want to add the picture of a ghost chasing me. Both layers are moving. My question is, can I do this easily in flash? I have not used Flash before and if it is complicated, I would rather not to try. I've talked to some friends who have used Flash before and some say it is the perfect program for my need while others claim it would either not be able to do it, or be really hard to.
Is Flash suitable to my needs? If not, is there another program that is?
Is it possible to make a animation using video clips? What I want to do is have the same clip playing side by side in a loop at different speeds - I would like the animation to play without it having to be clicked on too.
Is there a way to export it as AVI or any file type that support HD and get the same out put in SWF, i tried to export but the final output is very weak
I'd like to gain read only access to the following parameters of embedded Flash videos located on sites that I do not own through my own custom browser extension/add-on:
Time location of playback head (so I can display the current time in the browser extension via HTML5/JavaScript) Frames (so I can make capture them to an image file, save it and display image in browser extension) Original Dimensions in pixels (so I can display the original video dimensions via JS/HTML5 in browser extension)
Is this possible by using Javascript and HTML5 from a browser extension?
Would I have to use something like the SWFObject Javascript API [URL]

I am trying to embedded an flv into a flash movie timeline that runs at 12fps.My source avi is 60 seconds in duration. However using cs3 video encoder with the frame rate set to 12 fps results in an flv that uses up 1440 frames of my timeline. In fact any frame rate selected always results in an flv of this frame length? Assuming that I need the flv to be 720 frames total (60 seconds * 12 frames), and not twice that duration as that would still have to be played at 24 fps. I undertand that there is a relationship to the original fps the movie was shot in (in this case 24fps) but will/does the encoder not produce an flv with the frame rate altered to match my timeline fps? or do you basically have to use a camera that shoots the original avi at 12fpsto get it to play in 12 fps timeline??
I am trying to get a Flash movie I created to stop looping in my browser AFTER loading it into Dreamweaver. Here's what I've tried:
a) Place an AS3 "Stop();" at the end of the action script for the file (in Flash CS4).
b) Publish with "Loop" in HTML tab unchecked.
c) Open the tandem created .html file in my browser (Firefox)......and the movie plays then stops as hoped
d) Open Dreamweaver CS4
e) Import the swf file into a blank HTML page and Save the file.
f) Test the document in my browser. Movie plays, but the movie continues to loop.
as mentioned above, how can I stop the movie from looping after it's embedded in my web page in Dreamweaver? Is this a Dreamweaver 'problem' rather than a Flash one? The DW help file says to use Flash to control the loop....
I want to import a video for optional playback into a flash animation. Now, the animation is a loop and replays after 120 frames or so. I noticed when I exported my moviemaker video and imported it into flash, it automatically asked me if i wanted it to arrange it to fit or not. the thing is, i don't want the video to automatically play like flash does for default. What i want is to be able to have it look like how a video looks in youtube 'before' you play it..you know how it has that 'arrow' sitting on it with a black screen showing
you that it's ready to be played if you want it to? well, that's what i want. so, if someone stumbles upon my animation loop on the web, they will see a little video in the upper corner that has the ability to play but it doesn't start
playing right when they get to the page. Also, when they play the video, the length is obviously longer than the loop of my animation, but I obviously don't want it cutting off when my loops ends and restarts, so is there a way to code where it will keep playing on it's own timeline apart from what the flash animation loop is doing? (it should be able to play all the way through, end, and be able to be played again no matter how many loops the animation goes through)second thing i want, is the video to be small..like maybe 220 X 180 in size.
when i exported in Moviemaker, I actually got a video size that I liked but the quality looked poor and sounded poor (I went with the Pocket PC export 148kbps or something like that). Now, was the quality poor just because Flash had to cut it off because of the animation loop restarting or is it going to be poor just cuz PocketPC export is a bad choice? In other words, what export choice should I go with in Moviemaker to get the desired results i want (with the desired width + height I want as well)?
Do you have to code to make it be a video that's got the arrow/blk bkgrd i.e. not playable til a user clicks...or do you just have to export it a certain way in Moviemaker to make it's format that way?
Flash newbie here, using CS5 on a Mac. I've created several Flash animation files, all about 25 seconds long. The animations are fairly simple, about 6 layers each, but all contain a lot of movement. I need to turn the animations into videos that can be played on computers that don't have any Adobe programs, i.e. Quicktime. This is where my issue comes in. The published .swf files work wonderfully, but when I export the files to Quicktime video (.mov) the motion seems to leave a "trail" of images behind it. The static remnants go away after a few seconds but are replaced by new remnants of the current movement. I've played around with the quality and size of the videos, but nothing seems to have helped. I've tried used Xilisoft video converter to convert the .swf files into .avi or .mp4, but the files couldn't be uploaded. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what steps I could take to export my .fla or .swf files into high-quality video files?
I am new to animating in flash and have come up against something I don't understand.I made a small 15 frame animation.I drew each of the 15 frames by hand. The animation will loop. that is if you play frames 1 to 15 and then jump back to 1 it seemlessly transitions back and can begin again.I want to convert these 15 frames into one element that I can add many times to the time line.Is there a way to do this?
I tried converting to a movieclip symbol but it only brought in one frameIf it only brings in one frame, what is the point of it being a movie clip? What is the best practice to make a self contained unit of these 15 frames so that I can reuse them?
ive made a flash banner 1000x500 with lots of objects tweening etc etc photos fading in and out,and ive being told to resize the banner size to 800x300but im having trouble when i do that,is there a way to get the everything that ive done into the 800x300 with out having to move all my objects around again and resizing each pic individualy,or do i have to start it from scratch again??
I have trouble in choosing between external video with playback component and embedded video . I have tried adding video to dynamic page and everything is perfect .This video I have imported using the option File ->import video -> external video with playback component. If I try to execute flv on another system , the video is not playing eventhough it is in library.
So, I have imported video using the option of embedded video and this worked fine on another systems as it embeds video. The video plays for only 2 min 54 sec. I have compressed the bit rate to how much ever I can in premier pro. It resulted in reducing the size of the file but still I see the video occupying more than 3500 frames in the timeline. I feel this is not optimal.
When I play my animation in the Flash working file, the animation stops at the end of the timeline, as it should. But when I test the movie, or export it to any movie format, it will play an instance of a movie clip symbol that I used within the animation. There are no extra frames in the timeline beyond what should be considered the last frame. Is there a setting or something I have overlooked that might cause that instance of the symbol to play at the end of the animation, without appearing in the main timeline?
So I am working on an interactive piece that requires the use of pre rendered 3D animation clips with transparency. what I was curious about is... Would it be better to export the video as a series of PNGs (the longest is about 600 frames long) and import those into my movie clip or should I export the video as an FLV that is close to 400 Mb in size? Or am I completely missing a a better way to get this pre-rendered animation into my piece as a clickable movie cllip with transparency?
I added a button symbol to a movie clip in a Flash 8 project, and the button works. OnPress it redirects to a web site. However, the animation in the movie clip becomes diabled. I get the same effect regardless of where the button is placed, e.g. scene1 timeline, movie clip, etc.
I am having this issue with Flash CS5 Mac version:After making an animation, I export movie as Quicktime. When I view this movie, the animation leaves trails of color when an object moves across the screen, leaving behind little bits of color too. This does not happen when I export a SWF, but it does happen when I export a Quicktime movie. I export using Quicktime, so I can then I can export it into a flv in Adone media encorder. Why does this happen?
new to flash, using windows vista 64 bit and cs4. I would like to take flv movie clips and edit them to use in flash. Is there a program in cs4 I can do that with? or should I use something else.
basically what I am looking to do is simply edit out a few seconds that I would like to use from a 3 minute video,
