Actionscript 3 :: Specify ENTER_FRAME So That The Object Enters On Every 4th Frame?

So the ENTER_FRAME property will add an object to the stage on every frame the game runs. If the game is 24 fps, 24 objects created per second. How can I limit that so it will generate an object every 4 frames?

I have a loop that starts to play when the movie starts:

var my_channel:SoundChannel = new SoundChannel();
my_channel = my_sound.play(0,int.MAX_VALUE);
I would like to fade it out when the movie enters frame 20. Since I'm already using TweenMax, I put this line in frame 20:
TweenMax.to(SoundId, 1, {volume:0, onUpdate:my_channel, onComplete:stopSound});
I'm getting an error:
1120: Access of undefined property stopSound. TweenMax.to(SoundId, 1, {volume:0, onUpdate:my_channel, onComplete:stopSound});

When I use MouseEvent.MOUSE_OUT the target is [object MovieClip], but when I use MouseEvent.ROLL_OUT I get [object Bildspel] - and Bildspel is my class. The thing is that when I use ROLL_OUT I'm not able to delete the targets ENTER_FRAME event.

I'm looking for script or a tutorial which allows me to make a scrub bar for a regular swf file that *enters every frame* on the way forward and back. I was trying this one out ....http:[url]......... but it skips frames. I need something that will execute scripts place in certain frames along the timeline when the scrub bar is dragged.

So I am a complete novice at actionscript as was evident in my attempts to figure this out on my own. I have the following code to control the "Songs" section of my website and I would like the following features:
1. Not have the music automatically start when the user enters the frame. (I thought this was due to line 3 code but it still played after I deleted that code)

I have a project in Flash Mx 2004. On the first frame there is a menu with 4 menu items. When the user clicks an item, they are taken to another frame with some text and an exit button that takes them back to the menu. The forward button will not become active until all of the menu items have been viewed. There is no particular order for the items to be viewed, just that they all be viewed before the forward arrow is active and the user can continue. I tried puttin an action on the exit button to disable the related menu item, however, the item just resets back to enabled each time a user re-enters the frame.

a) A full moon is there on the screen in which Name and Password field is there.
b)The movement the user types his name and password and after pressing enter the moon should fade for some other animation.
Is action script needed for this?.
Am just a sort of general flash animator I don't know how to do things differently.
The animation further should continue where a steel door should open, two velvet ropes should be pulled aside which will make the bookcase wall swivels around to reveal the next animation

I have a script that relies on ENTER_FRAME event to run every time. I have noticed on some slower computers there can be some lag when a flash movie is playing. Does ENTER_FRAME run on every frame, even if its on a slow computer? If the flash movie lags, does the ENTER_FRAME event still run and the rendering just try to catch up? Is running code on ENTER_FRAME a reliable way to execute code every time a frame is entered?

No matter where the EnterFrame event is registered, the frame would not be rendered after the EnterFrame event handler done in each frame.For example, I have two unrelated MovieClips:

The current problem with my code is everytime I press the play again button in frame 4 and I restart my game it goes twice as fast. So I asked my teacher and she told me it's something with the EventHandlers but I didn't used them in my code.She's of no help to me currently. Yes, education over here is worthless in a certain amount.. Personally I think error lies in this code: I also get the error called: TypeError: Error #1009 about a null object. It's at the MainTimeline/ enter_frame()..

I have 3 frames each with a movie clip called map_mc. Each different map_mc have different objects that call the CollisionDetect class. Heres whats happening. objects from frame 1 will start freaking out when I goto frame 2. How do I remove only the event listeners from objects only on frame 1?
I have been trying this.currentFrame but the problem is that all the objects are inside map_mc on the first frame so no matter what it will always be 1. On the other hand MovieClip(root).currentFrame will always give me the current frame but wont tell me what the objects frame is relative to the stage.What I want to do is have something to this effect:MovieClip(root).this.currentFrame would output that this object is on frame 1 and MovieClip(root).currentFrame will tell me that the stage is on frame 2 so I can remove the listeners accordingly.

I'm trying to trace the path of an object by using setPixel on the object's position every frame in a BitmapData/Bitmap pairing. These pixels aren't showing up normally and I suspect I have a fundamental misunderstanding of the BitmapData class. Here's what I'm doing:

public var contrail:Bitmap;
private var contrailColor:uint;[code].....
Using this code, the red pixels don't show up. If I initialize contrailBase to 0xFF000000 instead then I get a black screen on which the red pixels DO draw, but I need the bitmap to be transparent except for the contrail. What am I doing wrong?

I have about a 1min 30 sec animation in Flash CS5 which uses a lot of background sound and music. When I test each individual scene, the sound is right where I want it, in line with face animations, actions, etc. But when I watch the SWF (Hit Ctrl+Enter), the sound begins to enter early, when the video is about 50 seconds through. It gets so far in front that by the end of the film the sound is arriving about a good scene before when it is supposed to arrive.

I am trying to work something out, but I am not really good in scripting so I can't figure out how to write the code properly.The situation is a bit complex:I have one frame labeled "street". From "street" you can enter another page labeled "underground" when you press a button. In "underground" there's a button "exitU_btn" that brings you back to "street".So far this wasn't a problem. Now I have another page labeled "F2016" from which you can enter "underground",too, but this time when pressing "exitU_btn" I don't want it to return to "street" but return to "F2016".Means the button should know the label I am coming from and returning to this one.I started to write a bit code for that with if statements, but don't know how exaxtly to write it.

Whenever I have my Textfield focused and enter a character, the input field enters an additional duplicate character, meaning I have to backspace one character for every character I enter.If it was a Keydown problem the same should happen when i backspace a character as well.

I have an input text box with the instance name of input_txt and a dynamic text field named output_txt. I'm trying to do something with the dynamic field when the user has entered text into the input field. So far, this is what I have:

I have a very strange problem. I recently finished a website,[URL]However if you try to enter the first button (in firefox) it enters the new swf and then freezes... HOWEVER. When I try this in Internet Explorer it works just fine. Is it actionscript which acts different in browsers, do I have to type differently or add exceptions?Through the .js file I found out there is a opera and IE exception..

I am working on a simple math game for kids. It is nearly complete but the problem I have is that when the user enters their answer in the input textfield, the numbers are entered from left to right. Most people do math problems from right to left. Is there a way to make the numbers appear from right to left? I am thinking that I would have to use an eventlistener on the number keys and also use parse text or arrays somehow to manipulate the numbers.
