But this does not work though the btn on stage have the same Instance name as in code.
I am having a problem getting this to work. I get this error:TypeError: Error #1010: A term is undefined and has no properties.It is because of the line of code in bold. It doesn't like the this[NavName].[code]

View 1 RepliesI am trying to add a simple "getURL" type of functionality to a movieclip so that when it is clicked on, the user is taken to a url. i have tried 3 or 4 different ways to do this that all work when i test the movie clip in flash. I have created a scrolling bar menu. All the buttons in the menu work except for the last two. When I place a trace statement within the function it definitely is listening to all the buttons except for the last two. All instances are named correctly. Can the size of the scroller be contributing to why the addEventListener is not working?

When the mouse is moved off the stage, I want it to fade.I used the code below but it seems that the MOUSE_OVER event is only captured when the mouse is moved over some object on the stage. When the mouse is over an unused part of the stage, the event is not fired and the control bar remains invisible.barBg_mc is the name of the control bar in the code below.

View 1 RepliesI'm building a website for a client that includes testing videos which need to have a limit on how many times the test taker can click the play/pause/scrub buttons (with a counter to let them know how many clicks they have left).
To the best of my knowledge they don't have the original flash project of the current player they're using (which does have that feature, but needs to be redesigned), and I'd rather build it with AS3 anyway.
I'm hoping to just alter one of the existing player component skins like Minima and add a box to display the click count, but I honestly don't know how to alter the component itself to keep track of the clicks and disable the buttons when they reach a specified number.
Is it possible to remove right click in Flash player with some script?

I have an Apple iSight webcam and it's not working with Flash.I go into the Flash player settings and select my camera, I can see my image and camera working inside the little box in the Flash playser settings panel.But when I close the settings and "allow" the site to access my webcam it doesn't work.My camera just shuts off.It's been a while but my camera use to work with Flash, and my iSight camera works with other apps such as Skype.URL...

So far my code stops the sound but once it has stopped the sound no longer works. I don't see any errors reported. It is as if the event listener no longer listens...

The reloadData() function works fine when the player is hosted locally. When we move it to the CDN (Amazon Cloudfront), the player loads successfully, but the external javascript interface no longer works - console.log(player) reveals the following:

I write a flex application. I added some custom menu items in context menu. when I compiled this code using flashplayer 10.0, it works fine and my added context menu items are shown when I Right-Click. But when I compile same code for flashPlayer 10.1, menu items that I added in context menu are not shown when I Right-Click. I am using sdk 3.5.
