Dec 2, 2011I gone thorough the adobe flash builder video tutorials and did the same thing to create an application for android device, but when i run the application it is showing Sorry dialog box saying that, The application Test1-debug(process air.Test1.debug) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. I tried many times but it is not working. Initially i thought no Adobe-AIR in my device, but it is there. I am using Reliance 3G Tab. I don't why it is not working, if anybody know this please reply me.
One more thing, i downloaded one APK (which is designed with adobe flash or flex) file from [URL]..and installed on my android device. When i run that application only blank screen is appearing, but in video they shown, it is working. Why it is happening like this?? Jun 1, 2011I need to add some animation to the UI of my application. Something similar to the Talking Tom application that is all the rage these days. I am a complete noob to animation, so had the following questions to zero in on a particular platform before I began with any development.
Out of Flash/Rendered Images/OpenGL which one would be the fastest to implement (assuming that I have a graphics designer to do the drawing)? If I was to go with flash, would I still be able to interact with the application or will it be more of a one-way play-and-stop kind of animation? I have looked over a lot of questions on SO about this issue and have not been able to make up my mind.

I built a simple app with just a ModuleLoader in it, which loads a mx:module. The module has only a simple mx:Label with a "Hello World" text.I build a .air with this. Then I build a .apk with the followin adt command.
adt -package -target apk-emulator -storetype pkcs12 -keystore certificate.p12 hello.apk hello.air
The application works just fine when running it on the PC, but when I do it on the apk-emulator it just goes blank and throws error #2032.

Feb 7, 2012I developed a Adobe Air Application and I discovered that the Mobile I am trying to install the application is not compatible with the Adobe Air's supported devices because this wasn't launched yet.

Sep 12, 2011I have a flex app using the 4.5.1 sdk and AIR 2.7 running on an Android 3.2 tablet. During use, I can get it to crash fairly regularly. It's usually when I'm rapidly scrolling around in a List control. I can't seem to find the cause.
The application will just suddenly close. It happens in both debug and release builds.
When in debug mode, it just disconnects from the debugger and doesn't give me any useful information.
I'm at a loss on how to debug this. What are some techniques I can use?
I found the "adb logcat" command. Relevant info from the log below, unfortunately it doesn't mean much to me.

Feb 7, 2012What is the best way to display a large amount of text (5000-10000 words) in a Flex mobile app?
I have been loading text in through an xml file using itemrenderer. It works totally fine when I run the application on my PC but when I load it onto my Android phone it crashes. Looks like my phone can only handle loading in about 3000 words using this method without crashing.
Anyone have a suggestion? Also, HTML isn't going to work for me. I want the text built into the application, which is why I have been trying to use the xml file.

But I get each time the "directory not found error"

I know also this is not a best practice, but for security reasons I need to delete all the stagewebview cache and autofill form data.

Aug 6, 2003I need to make my Flash application create a connection to a remote application and have the remote application send periodic updates to my Flash animation. The remote app is written in VB 6, and does not support XML sockets. However, I don't need the ability to send or receive XML since I am going to be overriding the onLoad() event anyway.
Or maybe I do need that ability... I'm having trouble getting my onLoad() event to trigger. Right now I'm just testing the onLoad event like this:

So, basically I'm trying to find out how I can format the data I'm sending it so that the onLoad() event triggers. I've read that the XMLSocket object listens for the Null byte, so perhaps the data I'm sending it doesn't terminate properly. I need a persistent connection from Flash to the VB app because the VB app will be the one initiating the updates to the Flash application. Is the XMLSocket the way to go here, or is there another class of objects that I'm missing?
Flash :: Animation In An Android App Used In The Title Screen - Options?
Apr 2, 2012Let me first state that I am no programmer, so this may seem like a stupid question. I have done all kinds of searching on this question, and answers seem far-and-wide, and have only left me more confused. I am currently accepting bids for the development of an Android app version of our graphic novel: [URL] One of the issues/problems from my requirements document that has been raised more than once by bidders is about the Flash animation [URL] that I want to be used in the title screen, and how that will be implemented in the app. The initial programmer that I was working with had real problems with and was never able to get it to work. I know that in order to use the swf file as-is, Flash needs to be installed on the devices, and that is not an Android standard. So I want to know what options there are to be able to include this.
A couple bidders have suggested that the animation be converted to video. And although they claim that they could still make it work correctly, I worry about losing the looping that is built into the animation. Can the animation be converted to or re-created with Java? Should I be looking into using FLash Builder and/or Adobe AIR? We will eventually be porting this app for Apple iPads as well, so if there is an option that woks for both Android and iOS, that would be better.
