Edit A Template Gallery With Not Xml Files?

i bought a template and have edited too my satisfaction,however i am unable to add more pics to the gallery,i can add frames and pics in the pics/thumbs timeline, but they do not showi can change the 12 pics in the original timeline without difficulty, but cannot find anyway to add more pics or thumbs.i have been trying to sort this for a week with no joy, i would really appreciate any help that i can get on this, any at all.i did post the .FLV file on the adobe server Case #0181222772

If you make multiple flash files from the same template and then edit that template, will all those files have those same changes? If not, is there a way to make the same change on multiple files at once? Basically the same idea as linking HTML files to a single CSS file...

I am new to flash and I am trying to create my first flash site using a template that I have downloaded. I can edit the first page fine, but when I click the "about us" or any other section, the standard template text, Which isn't even in english, appears. I believe that these are psd files, and I have tried to edit them, saved and replaced file on my computer, but still I get the same unchanged text on this site when I preview.how to edit and replace these files within the flash movie?

I have a IT background and have been able to alter most of the template by myself to the design I would prefer my website to have. However I have hit a snag, it looks like part of the flash website design is controlled by bitmap images therefore I concluded those images were under the sources within the PSD folder. I tried creating a PNG file and double clicking the relevant bitmap and then updating it with the new file. However after I perform a publish preview the the change made no impact to the design.

i am new to Flash and am currently working with an XML based flash template. When i open the .fla file, none of the text or images show up. I understand this is b/c i have to edit the xml file in dreamweaver. However that is a very complicated way of doing it b/c then i have to keep going back and forth between several programs and saving, and updating, and never getting of "live view" of the chages i am making. My question is: Is there really no way for me to edit the whole xml flash template in Flash CS5? Meaning is there some sort of way to import or manipulate the files so that i can edit the text and images directly in flash pro cs5 and not having to keep going into dreamweaver?

While I'm just a beginner right now it/I'm an experienced computer user and I have really enjoyed/but when I'm looking at it now I'm trying to use flash to edit a website template, for example monster templates. I bought a template from the site and nine trying to edit it now and well it just seems like it's a very very long process to do something kind of where I just want to look at the page and I want to edit the text and only I go to bed doesn't seem to be the case. So I'll show you what I mean.
When I'm using the program and I'm in Adobe flash I'm looking now at the screen inside the program and there's no text I see the graphics images and there's no text and also is that some type of way where it's easy to navigate link to link where I can just edit the text what supposed to be in there rather than search for the funeral push page up and down until I come across just a white background with tax and then have to edited which is pretty confusing because I don't know where that's located but I the general idea that if you change it but surely there must be an easier way.
So basically I'm including a screenshot that shows you exactly what I'm talking about. Basically once again I'm in fashion items Sandy text so it's kinda hard to see what was going on or whatever so you can see the snow text located in the thing but however when I publish the file yeah you can see the text and everything I'm kinda looking for some type of you well be able to see this and just edited really. I know there are other programs out there like SWF edited her or quick note to some like that. But I really wanted to use flash, unexperienced Photoshop user and I really love all Adobe products and I really think that this is the master program to use however I'm really don't want it as of right now it's been about 40 days and nine still a bit lost navigating through the program will I'm just really just China entities tax bills and just go through the site. Now I realize I should have the respect for beautiful program like this and it's not been a be set up to the way that I'm hoping it Siskind be a point-and-click editor I understand that. I'm just wondering if anybody has any type suggestions or perhaps of I'm missing something which is fantastic.

I'm pretty new to Flash and especially to Action Script, which is why I thought customizing a pre-existing template would be a good way to learn, so I recently downloaded a free Flash Template that uses XML and AS3. I was able to customize almost all of it, but having one major difficulty translating some of the code.[URL]..So at the top, I just wanted to convert the Contact US & Our Company tabs into 2 more galleries. I have created XML files for each and tested them within the other galleries and they appear to work ok, but when I tried to assign them each to their own page I get an error.

I have created a flash gallery using the in built template in Flash8, which works fine. The gallery forms part of my gallery page of a separate SWF flash site. I load the gallery using a loder component. Since the gallery navigation works by targeting the root folder, my site gets screwed up. The question is, how do i modify the ActionScript in the gallery.fla file (flash inbuilt template), so that once loaded into the main site, it doesnt target the root timeline, but targets its own timeline i.e.Please see below for the code in the Flash Gallery. PS: I didnt write the code - its inbuilt into the template:

I bought a template. xml flash. able to change anything in that. I had trouble, but the gallery section. I met with template-help. did not help. I want my products section of the text when I click on the menu on the left side there are three. I want to get these categories. When I want to come to each of the other galleries. but somehow could not.

I've pretty much taught myself everything about editing html so far, but this one is loosing me quickly. I've downloaded a html css template, edited out the fat i don't need, so on and so forth, now all I need is a photo gallery. However, I'm not sure how to embed the flash template to get it to run. I'm trying to use a sliding gallery, but can't seem to get it.

Everything is fine on the flash movie until I actually get to the gallery section and the template resizes the entire page!

I wonder if it's possible to use Flash/AS files as "templates" - in other words, we have the website [URL] and the header is subject to change depending on the product-category you click in the shop. We will have approx 10 categories, and each will have a different product displayed in the flash movie, but the "background actions" should stay the same.
Now, in case I need to change something (let's say the logo changes from blue to red.. and the particle-size and shape) I don't want to change all 10 or more files again. So is there a way to use the "basic" flash file as template, which means - position of the Logo & shadow, and the particle code, and just change the variable pictures and stuff inside the categories? I took that red card-printer as sample of the card-printer category for example.

I just pulled together a picture gallery, where the pictures simply scroll across the screen using arrows. I used the template from [URL] The problem is that when I added my own pictures, the graphic symbol was obviously a different size from the original template. So when the images scroll they should stop at a certain point as to not show any empty space. I changed the values that i guessed were the ones setting up where the graphic has to stop at, but it doesnt seem to be doing anything. The code below is the only script of any importance, at least that I know of. The other stuff just points to targets and gotoandplay stuff.

it has interactive picture gallery where you roll over with the mouse and click on the desired photo to see it on bigger size. I've recently taken over the website for the company I work for (has been freelanced outside of the office). The previous webdesigner created a flash menu for the top of the pages, as well as a flash element on one other page. I have no Flash knowledge. On the other page with the flash element here: [URL], in the page content on the right there's the bulleted, numbered links. See how the numbers aren't centered on the button? I'm able to open the fla file & can find the elements & where I need to edit, but no matter what I do I can't get the numbers to center on the button.
I've opened each & selected both the number (which is a text element) & the button & have centered horizontally, made the same width & height, etc., etc. but they're still not centering. Now for the menu bar at the top of the page (can look at same page for reference), I can't figure out how to change the text on some of the buttons. For instance I want to change Home Serves to read Custom Homes. I find the symbols & they appear to be images, so is it safe to assume the previous designer created buttons with the text already on them? Also how do I removed some of the drop down items in the menu bar, specifically under Our Galleries?

I'm currently about to hand off a simple XML site to my client for them to begin updating.To add images on the site, they'll need to update simple lines in an XML document.I'm on a Mac and I just use Text Edit to update XML files. i need to make a sort of template for a group of files. it must contain both text and images (sort of help files where there is text and explanatory figures). i have to make this template 100% dynamic, meaning that i don't know the amount of text or number of images or where those images will be within the text. my client should be able to add text and images without having to edit the swf.
i know how to make textfields and movieclips during runtime, and how to load dynamic text and images, but the main problem is that the client wants the images inbetween paragraphs - not in a seperate place. -how do i set breakpoints in a dynamically loaded text -how do i position the images? -how do i position the rest of the text?

I have created a flash file that allows you to click on a thumbnail image and larger image appears ontop of a tshirt. The same way as a gallery would work. The images and thumbnails are pulled in through xml. However I have a problem, I need the images that appear on the tshirts to be .png files or gif files as the tshirt colour can be changed. At the moment my flash file will only display jpegs! I dont knwo why. The jpegs leave me with a white background, so I need the transparency of a png/gif. My actionscript is:

I need to make it so that my client can edit some text files that are displayed in a frilly little font with shades and all that "mainflashpage.swf" accesses to display it. I heard you can do a lot of things like this with php. I know NOTHING about php. So is there any way that I can use flash to edit a text file? I remember about using void at the end of declaring a function if your not returning data.

A wav or mp3 file will be taped or various. Is there any script to edit these files in batch ie: to Trim the beginnings ie: no sound parts. Or would I have to use a sound editor. As I say I don't want to do it manually. This sounds like a stupid use but it's important as I have children taping themselves and can't use a 3 party product to edit. Perhaps AIR has something in an API.

I am planning to do a CD-ROM in either Flash or Flex, possibly using the Adobe AIR runtime.This CD interactive will have a bunch of forms on it for the user to fill out. After they fill in a form, they will have the option of saving or printing a PDF that is based on there information.I am trying to find a way of editing the content of the PDF in Flash, so when the user fills out the form, the application will fill in the PDF with there details from the form fields. Is this is possible?It would be great if there was some way of having template PDFs (either on the CD as there own files, or in a Flash library), then flash could come along and fill in the specific fields inside the PDF.

Go into project explorer and can't see much AS so how the hwll are they getting the images and text into the flash swf. By the html??? I don't think so.

I am trying to delete some files from a flash template I purchased, when I open the .fla file in flash and go into the library, I would like to delete the contact box and the mp3 player, when I locate those files in the library and delete the files, the website no longer opens up (it will not work when I delete those files from the library)?
