Javascript :: Find End Of FlashPlayer Video?

Dec 22, 2009

I have a Flash player that I created with Moyea PlayerBox and I am trying to figure out how to find out when the video is done playing. I want to create a playlist kind of like ESPN does where you can do a check box for continuous play and if it is checked I want it to keep playing if not I want the user to be able to decide where on the playlist to play.

IDE :: Difference Between CS3 API FlashPlayer And FlashPlayer In A Browser?

Apr 9, 2009

I picked up enough AS3 recently to create some advertising banners and they work perfectly when I test the movie within CS3 by using ctrl+enter. I uploaded the created swf on the website and experienced lots of weird problems like child mcs stopping to play after a while or movies not playing till the end etc.. On some movies, they will play properly if you reload the website, on some others (the one which doesnt play till the end) that wont fix the problem either. The banners' filesizes are also around 8KB for example and include only text and vectors.

I published my movie by letting Flash create an html file, and the exact same problems are occurring there aswell. I mean I got strict mode and everything turned on in Flash but I'm not getting any errors at all when testing the movie. I also dont see any visual errors. It's just the swf acting differently in a browser.

So I'm trying to figure out what the difference between the flashplayer used by CS3 and the one in firefox is for example. I got the latest flashplayer (10 r22) on firefox and it seems that CS3 is using the flashplayer 9 (I'm not sure about this but its the player I found in the CS3 folder).I'm using timeline based tweens (I know it sucks and I did this mostly on the first banners I created and started using the tween classes built in Flash later on when I learned more AS3) so wondering if this is the problem.

Flash :: RTMP Streaming Server Implementation: Connect/createStream/play Message Sequence Passed, But No Video/audio In Flashplayer

Oct 8, 2010

Writing RTMP Streaming Server for streaming AVC+AAC video. And it works fine with rtmpdump. But I can't force it to work in flowplayer and other flash video players. The message sequence after handshake is similar to FMS / RED5 / erlyvideo / haxevideo servers: I've tried a lot of variations.

From Chrome debug console I can see, what all negotiating messages passed to the flowplayer. The last one is onMetaData. And after this the working sample (rtmp://flash.tvwmedia.net/LiveVideo//Live300) gets NetStream.Buffer.Full. And streaming from my server don't get it.

I'm starting with AVC Header message, containing sps/pps. After it first AVC picture passed. After - AAC header and AAC sample. And then AVC/AAC samples. This dumped OK by rtmpdump - I have working flv on exit. But flowplayer and others does not work.

Php :: Find Swfobject On Included Page And Call Javascript Function?

Apr 27, 2010

I'm using the following script on my website to play an mp3 in flash. To instantiate the flash object I use the swfobject framework in a javascript function. When the function is called the player is created and added to the page.

The rest of the website is in php and the page calling this script is being included with the php include function. All the other used scripts are in the php 'master'-page

[Code]...

I have a play-button with the id '#play1' and a stop-button with the id '#stop1' on my page. A div on the same page has the id '#status1' and a little image of a speaker is in the div. When you push the playbutton, the div with the speaker is fading in and when you push the stopbutton, the div with the speaker is fading out, very simple. And it works as I want it to do.

But the problem is, when a song is finished, the speaker doesn't fade out. Is there a simple solution for this? I already tried using the swfobject framework to get the flash player from the page and call the 'IsPlaying' on it, but I'm getting the error that 'swfobject' can't be found. All I need is a little push in the right direction or an example showing me how I can correctly get the currently playing audio player (in flash), check if it's playing and if finished, call a javascript function to led the speaker-image fade-out again.

Example,I'm on frame 30, the target frame is 100 and the total frames are 500. I know that going it will take 70 frames to get to 100 going forward and 430 to go in reverse but I don't know the codes to figure this out. I'm using ActionScript but I think I would understand the codes if it were written in other professional languages like JavaScript.

Javascript :: Possible To Capture/find The Dimensions Of A Flash Movie As It Loads Into A Webpage?

Sep 9, 2011

I have a cms where my client loads banner ads from their clients. They don't know the dimensions or don't want to enter them when they upload the banners. Is it possible to capture the dimensions to set the object attributes as we grab the movies from the db to display in the page?I read that the movie dimensions are available in the loaderinfo object, but this is a AS3 object right? Are AS3 objects available outside the flash movie? Can I access the loaderobject via javascript? The Flash movies we're trying to load are not ours, we don't have access to the flas or anything like that so we can't edit anything to do with the movies themselves.

Flash :: Publish Can't Find Video On Server

Feb 3, 2010

Previously, using Flash CS3 Professional, I would import a .M4V file (shared via iMovie) and go through the import wizard/assistant to give it a playback skin and ultimately publish an HTML, SWF, FLV, and the JS/SWF files for playback. Uploading these five files to our servers (or any server) would allow anyone to view these videos by accessing the HTML page.

Now, using Flash CS4, the import process is a bit different and the FLV conversion doesn't occur. Upon publish there is also no .JS file and instead of the .FLV file, there is the original movie file (.M4V). In the library pane, there is a FLVPlayback item. When accessing the HTML file as it resides on my desktop (or anyone's desktop inside the folder with all the other items), the SWF finds and plays the video file without any issues. Comes right up. However, the instant all files are moved (again, in the same folder) onto a server for access via the web, the SWF file can not find the video file.

I have even created a duplicate of the project with encoding the M4V file into an FLV and importing that file into the FLA document; publishing that and uploading to the same exact results.

What step has been added/removed that I am missing to make these files import simply, convert appropriately and publish wholely so they may be viewed as they once were on the web?

Flex :: Video Streaming - Find All The Published Streams?

Jun 8, 2011

I want to create two swf (publisher and subscriber).I have created the publisher client which publishes the webcam video to the Red5 server.

Now I want to create the subscriber. I want some kind of combo box which lists all the streams being published at that moment. So that user can click on any of the stream name in the list to see that stream.

Q1. How the subscriber client can find all the published stream at that moment?

Q2. How the subscriber can update that list automatically (any events for which it can listen to so that it can add or delete stream from the list)?

Java :: Why Flashplayer Does Not Need JVM

Jan 5, 2012

I have been developing ActionScript apps for half a year or so. As far as I can see, mxmlc compiler is just a sh-script to call javac --{options} in more convenient way. This gives me an idea that my source code is compiled into native java byte-code.

From all above I can conclude that either Flash Player should require JVM installed or be a JVM itself. Or maybe Java is used to generate Adobe custom binary file just as any other compiler would do, but Java is cross-platform and an industry standard, so to avoid portability problems Adobe (Macromedia) could choose in for ActionScript/Flex.

how to get Javascript in an HTML page containing an FLV video to listen for cue points in the video? I understand how to get the cue points in, but most people only seem to want to handle the cue point events within Flash. I want to use Javascript to display a different text in a page element at each point. Does the method vary depending on what player you're using? How about when it's the standard Flash playback component? Does there need to be any special Actionscript in the SWF containing the FLV?

Javascript :: Embed YouTube Video With JQuery In IE6 Without SWFObject?

Here's my code:

<!DOCTYPE html>

<head>[code]....

It works with Firefox and Chrome, but something's not quite right in IE6. Sadly, one of the project requirements is supporting this browser, so even if it workis in IE7, I need to work this out.I know there's SWFObject, but I'd rather not use it (we are loading already a bunch of JS files, we don't want more).Even this won't work:

<script>
document.write('<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/HPPj6viIBmU&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param [code]....

It seems that IE6 ignores the <object> tag, here's the code it embeds.

<EMBED src=http://www.youtube.com/v/HPPj6viIBmU&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1&amp; width=480 height=385 type=application/x-shockwave-flash allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always"></EMBED>
