I've toyed with this script for some time now and I am having issues removing lines of code and still getting my script to work. Basically I want to keep how this code loads and centers the parts of that code that refer to "mc" but I want to take out anything that refers to "bkg". I have gone through the code step by step to comment out areas but when I get to the very bottom, if I comment out this line:

how I could create a simple drag and drop. So far I am able to get one drag_mc to go to one target_mc. Howver I would like to know how I could change the code so that drag_mc could have multiple targets?

This is my first time posting and naturally Im here for a little help. A past employee took my companies Flash files for a scrolling ad. The company wants the colors changed and I will admit Im a slight newbie.
I was able to extract the SWF to a flash project folder with trillix. However I can not find this command line(see link)

In the flash file. Now I will admit Im new to flash, but I have dug everywhere I can think of in the project folder for that command line.
As you can see from the screen shot, its in frame0 on Sprit12. Ive looked in the properties of layer 1, in the properties of sprite12, and looked in the frame. Where would this be?
i have this code for my site which Martyn_c kindly put together for me but i need to link this animated button to an existing page in my flash doc.
The object name is homepage and is on frame 2 of the homepage layer. I will paste the code below and what i have tried to do with the linking code is at the very bottom.

Recently, I found a great little Flash project that acts like a jukebox for external mp3 song files, and am using it on my website to play my song demos.I'm now trying to find if there is an existing solution like that for video. I just need some way to progressively download video files from my webspace when the thumbnail is clicked... and am now looking into some sort of Flash jukebox.
I've tried just embedding the video files into HTML, but they don't progressively download for some reason (even though they are saved as Progressive With Compressed Header). I've even tried using prettyPhoto (...a script that mimics a Lightbox like feature, where the whole page dims, and a floating window appears over your site, displaying any media, and allowing you to move back/forth through your list of media)..... works great, but again, not a progressive download, so you stare at a blank screen for a while.
Seems the only way it works is if I have the file on YouTube or some other site, then embed it or use the prettyPhoto app.So, can someone either tell me how to make the embedded file download (OT, but I figured I'd ask), or point at some existing Flash file that serves as a video jukebox, showing all media on a common window?
I have an object that I want to rotate in 3D (letter "Y"). I have some code that I gathered and edited a bit, but right now it rotates at the top left as it's anchor. I'm trying to get it to rotate at the "crux" of the Y (absolute center), so it basically rotates in place.My second problem is the speed. Ideally it needs to rotate very fast then slow down and stop.Any thoughts on how to either clean up this code to make it work? could try it with just transforming the shape, but I'm trying to see if it can be cleaner with Actionscript

However, I need to protect them in several ways... customers should not be able to download and play them anywhere off my site, or on their hard drives, and they should not be able to decompile them and grab the contents (jpegs).I realize that a first rate hacker can probably hack through anything, but they don't worry me. Second-rate hackers worry me more, as there are many more of them, and they tend to go after smaller stuff like this
View 1 RepliesMy company emails our Flash EXE files out to customers. Most of these Flash files use keyboard events to navigate through them, and they load external SWF and video files. So, obviously, I have to package all of my movie files, SWF, and the main EXE into the same folder. In the past, they have simply Zipped the file, emailed it out, and told them which file to open. Sadly, even this is too complicated for some people. I need to simplify the process.
I am trying to find a way to take the entire folder and bundle it into a single EXE file. Also, I need to find a permanent solution for opening the main Flash EXE file in a MAXIMIZED window. I don't mean fullscreen. I mean MAXIMIZED. In fullscreen, keyboard events don't work. But, they do in a Maximized window.
Is there a way to able/allow potential customers to fully download mp3 tracks from my site?

Please do not use decompiled elements as first hand deliverables to your customers.
Decompilers often create bugs hat even the flash compiler cannot identify.
I've seen the Loom project, but are there any alternatives that are more mature (and actively developed)? I am looking for something that would allow load-time weaving of pointcuts into existing binary code at runtime with the AVM2 runtime.
Has any work been done in this area?
I m making a T-shirt design application in Flash.I made all the drag and drop stuff and now i need to knw is how can i export the design my customers made?Like in ma application users can drag n drop designs on their T-shrit,change its colour and all when when he press a button say "Print"...the swf shud generate a jpg of that design(that the user made) and send it to a php file(that estimates its rate and all) and saves another copy in my domain(like [URL]).

View 3 RepliesI've copyed the same source code to several scenes, hence I've had to change the variables on each scene, "var spawn" to "var spawn1"I don't get any errors, it's just that in the scenes where I've changed the variables the collision detection does not work.I've checked and rechecked the code and I just cannot figure out this issue.Bottomline, what could have caused functions to malfunction after altering variables and what's an effective way to find the error?

(I mean, what Illustrator uses. visuals, with vectors instead of pixels). I want to be able to set points, so that the line bends towards that point. And the color under the line should be different than the color above the line. Does anyone know how to get started on something like this?
View 1 RepliesThe bug is where when I shrink a simple circle, it appears to have somehow been altered to the point where the curves are no longer completely circular. Object becomes jagged, then when I bring the the object back to its original shape using the scale tool there the shape is no long a perfect circle.

is there a way i can change the standard setTextFormat() ; function? I found out that after you change the text, the format sets back to default. I want to add a "on text change, settextformat again" bit but im completely lost on how to do this? something to do with prototypes doesnt it?
View 3 RepliesI've created a complicated animation at a stupidly high frame rate. The .mov file at the moment just runs too slowly. The animation is of a watch interface so the timing is very important and I can't just have the movie file take twice as long at a lower frame rate.
How can I drop the frame rate without altering the overall time? and without manually changing the frame length of each motion tween?
I have a holder movieclip on screen, then I create a loader, load an external SWF into the loader and addChild to my holder:

I have two things I wish to change with the display elements in flex. The first on relates to and AdvancedDataGridColumn in a AdvancedDataGrid. This is shown in the picture URL with the words "Word Student Teacher ..." These are the headertext of an AdvancedDataGrid. I want to remove the little "1" symbol and disable the abiliy to click on the column and have them sort.
The second is also shown in the picture and it relates to the mx:ToggleButtonBar shown with the text "Pronunciation Pitch Timing Loudness" At present "Pronunciation" is selected, but is is possible to make this clearer? For example have the currently selected tab show in a different color?

Lets say that a user has a profile on my webpage and is logged in. Hes using a flash draw app on that site and now he wants to save what his drawn. He wants to save it to his profil in an archive, so he can access it again later on. is this possible? and how would you go about it? the drawing is all within one movieclip (with tons of other movieclips inside it) it has to be saved in such a away so its possible to access the individual movieclip inside main movieclip.
