ActionScript 2.0 :: Fuse Rotation - Flips Out And Rotates A Full Circle Before Getting To The Final Destination

Mar 22, 2007

I am using Fuse to rotate a movieclip in a navigation system. The problem is, it flips out and rotates a full circle before getting to the final destination when the destination is higher than 180. I can't figure out why. Here is the code:

Professional :: Rotation - Slight Pulsing As The Symbol Rotates When The Animtaion Plays

Aug 14, 2010

I've got a symbol that's circular, and I'm trying to make it rotate. My problem is that everytime I rotate it (45 degrees per frame), the dimensions change slightly on me. It's a circle with a height and width of 364 pixels. After rotating it clockwise 45 degrees, the new dimensions are 386.9 by 397.4. The result is a slight pulsing as the symbol rotates when the animtaion plays. I can't figure out what's happening, and it's SUPER frustrating.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Using A Carousel Script That Rotates Some Images, The Speed Of The Rotation Depends On Where The Mouse Is On The Screen?

Feb 5, 2010

I'm using a carousel script that rotates some images, the speed of the rotation depends on where the mouse is on the screen. The project I put it into is 962 pixels wide, the carousel itself is about 400 pixels wide, I want it positioned on the right half of the project, so I put the code in a blank movie clip and positioned it on the right.

It works fine, but the problem is the rotation gets crazy fast as the mouse moves to the left side of the stage, because there's so much more space on the left then there is on the right. I only want for it to stop gaining speed when the mouse leaves the carousel area.

Code:

//We use 70x70 sized images (change this if different for your images)
const IMAGE_WIDTH:uint = 70;
const IMAGE_HEIGHT:uint = 70;

ActionScript 3.0 :: Irregular Circle Rotation - Motion Path?

Oct 1, 2009

I have a circle: Width 530 and height 800. I want an object to follow this circle using a motion path, but you cant do that in pure actionscript, so I tried rotating the circle with the object attached, but warping the circle at the same time... so width becomes 530 and height becomes 800... but because the circle has rotated at the same time, it looks like it hasn't moved - except for the object attached.

ActionScript Code:
import fl.transitions.Tween;
import fl.transitions.easing.*;
import fl.transitions.TweenEvent;
var Tween1:Tween = new Tween(circle,"width",None.easeNone,800,530,2,true);
var Tween2:Tween = new Tween(circle,"height",None.easeNone,530,800,2,true);
var myTween:Tween = new Tween(circle,"rotation",None.easeNone,0,180,2,true);

This was the closest... but it still dances around the page before anything happens.... and it isn't reading the sizes properly? 530 isn't 530, but something bigger, and 800 is actually smaller?

ActionScript 3.0 :: Full Screen Objects Centre Of Rotation Is Out When File Is Stretched

Dec 3, 2009

This is my semi-finished art project URL...If you open it normally (providing you have a webcam) it works perfectly however I'm looking to showcase the piece on a projector and need to have it full screen.[code]I have made the piece so that the "orbs" rotate around the center point and the diamter of the rotation alters dependant on the activity level of the webcam. It looks very pretty when you open the swf. normally but when full screened the centres of rotation are completely off.Whats the best way around this? I'm in desperate need of full screen capability! [code]ps forgot to mention. all code is inside a blank movieclip called "orb" and then a copy of the movieclip is placed in every corner but flipped/rotated to achieve the butterfly/symmetry effect. this is the issue i belive that effects the full screen stuff.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Use Fuse To Instantiate PennerEasing?

Apr 10, 2007

I am trying to change over old code (Actionscript 1.0) to use Fuse in Flash 8. Old code uses: this._x = Math.easeInQuad(this.t, 0, gox, 6); So my new code in Flash 8 would be:

import com.mosesSupposes.fuse.*;
ZigoEngine.register(PennerEasing);
this._x = PennerEasing.easeInQuad(this.t, 0, gox, 6);

Is that all I need to do to do an easeInQuad? Do I have to declare/define it somewhere or is the equations, parameters it accepts builtin to Fuse?

ActionScript 2.0 :: Calculate The Direction And Speed A Circle Has After Colliding With A Static (non-moving) Circle?

Mar 8, 2005

I'm developing a game atm, and I need some help on the mathematics/coding of colliding circles (and their change in x/y speed). What i need to know is how to calculate the direction and speed a circle has after colliding with a static (non-moving) circle. I know how to detect a collision between the two, but I'm not sure about the maths I need to give the circle the right speed and direction after the collision

If i do know how far away the two circle-points (in the middle of each) are to each other (in both x and y coords) would it be easy for me to find the new speed and direction of the large circle in the example above? I know that I somehow should use the angles to pretend the circle hits a flat "wall" (as it only hits one point), and then calculate the new speed/direction. My only problem is that I'm not sure how to decide the angle of this flat "wall" and how x and y speeds should change when colliding with a wall that is angled. Does anyone here have any insight, links or tips on how I can du this?
