The problem I am having is, I am creating a flash animation on a movie clip.. When the user rolls over the area, the movie animates, and as they roll out of the area, the movie animates again..This isn't a very big deal but, I dont want the cursor to change from the default.. But the OnRollOver property tells the mouse cursor to flip to a hotlink cursor.. Is there a way to prevent that?

I have 9 movieclips that I would like to when you rollover they zoom in and come to the front and when you rollout they to return to their original positions.I am using as2 and the code that I have is for the swapDepths

View 1 RepliesI have a movieclip that has selectable text / scroll bar / other buttons etc - What I would like is to have an onRollOver / RollOut event to call a function on the entire movieclip, however when I do this - The entire movieclip is treated as a button and I cannot select the text nor click the scroll bar / other movieclip buttons within this movieclip. Is there a way to set the onrollover / rollout to execute a function without having the movieclip itself turn into a button / stop functioning?
View 2 RepliesI have a picture that is 500x500. My stage is 500x500. I have a tool bar that is on the bottom of the screen. It is in front of the picture. My onRollOver command is set so that on roll over the picture changes. Even if I am hovering over the toolbar the image still changes. I can not for the life of me figure out how to not have the onRollOver happen when the cursor is over the toolbar. Picture = pic_mc and toolbar = tb_mc I can not figure this out and I know how simple this is, but I am just at a lose. SIDENOTE: The tool bar is not a rectangle it is an irregular shape so I can't just say X,y area I figured I could use the toolbar shape to be the "block" from the image activating the onRollOver.
View 12 RepliesI have an image that will double as a button to make it larger if you click it. on the rollovers I have a plus and minus sign depending on which size the image is currently.if you click the image and it gets larger the cursor will probably still be on the image. Therefore the minus_mc won't play until you move your cursor off then back on the image. How can I have the rollover refresh without having the cursor move off of the image?
View 1 RepliesWhen the mouse hovers over the image the cursor flickers between hand and standard mouse pointer. One work around I've tried is to place an object under the main button that is bigger than the main button. That seems to work but only for that button. If I try it for others...well the image because cluttered with useless boxes.

I have created this menu with 5 buttons. The script attached to these buttons tells a movie clip to play certain sections of the clip to create the mouse over mouse out effect. The problem is if I move the cursor away too quickly the rollOut does not happen and the button is left in rollOver state.

I am trying to figure out how to make a bottom bar similar to the one seen ontions inside the bar- here's what I've got so far:as you can see I have a date/time MC inside the bar_mc which is working fine but whenever I try to have a new rollover/rollout movieclip (or button) inside the bar_mc it won't work/won't show rollover animation.

I am making use of a custom cursor on itemRenderers in a List component. The custom cursor works just fine except when I mouse over the Text component which is a child of the itemRenderer at which point I get two cursors, the custom and an iBar one on top of the other.Here's the code:

so the custom cursor I'm using works on the main timeline of my project. However, there are buttons in the application that load in movie clip pop-up windows and when this happens the cursor stays on the main timeline behind the movie clip resluting in the cursor not being seen. View 1 RepliesFor some strange reason, i cant get the precise cursor to work on the pencil tool. I prefer to use the pencil tool when drawing things. I usually use the brush tool for painting in the lines , or sketching something out. I did went to preferences, but even so, the pencil still doesnt turn into a precise cursor.

The problem is that when I click on button2 it leaves an image of the cursor right there on the button. It doesn't happen on button1.
