My preloader doesn't start at zero, but rather it starts at 26. Before it reaches
26 it is a blank screen and i want to see the preloader when it starts at zero.
I have the bar, barbkdg, and text box all on frame 1 in different layers.
in frame 2 is a motion tween.
so i have a loader.swf that loads in the main file, at the start of the loader there's a preloader, that, when done loads in plays the external swf. and i got another preloader on an swf that i load in, into a dummy MC 1st preloader doesn't show up at the start of the flash 2nd preloader doesn't show up at all and just shows half of the 2nd scene (where the actual movie is)

We have some problem with the speed of our website. That's why we want to start a preloader when those pages will be opened by our visitors. Example of page were we want the preloader[url]...it's the first 'round' preloader and the class code is under the preview. We want to start this preloader when the file mobiledescription.php will be opened.
This is my first experience with flash. So how can i start this preloader on those pages, because i have no idea right now?

I have some problems about installing FMS 4 on a CentOS 6 x64. After installing, FMS doens't start properly. I don't see the videos on the web interface. In the log file master.00.log, i can see these errors messages

my video starting at the first keyframe (it starts at kf 10). I was trying to solve this for more than an hour and cant. I think the problem somehow has to do with the fact my animations stops at keyframe 10, so I added a code snippet that stops the scene at 10. Dont get why this would start the video at 10, but cant seem to figure out any other reason, when I remove code snippet, all scenes start to play, but each scene moves too fast (since they are only graphs) so I cant test if the action layer is the issue.

View 3 RepliesI have a preloader.swf that loads the main "content" swf of my website. All is working alright, except once the preloader is done, the content swf doesn't start at frame one. Basically in the content swf I have some images and text that scroll onto the screen at frame one before the 'home' screen, but when preloader finishes it skips the animation and goes straight to the home screen. This isn't a big deal, but obviously it would be nice it people could see the animations at the start...

I have this code in frame 1 [code]In frame 2 the animation/flash application starts.The preloader works fine BUT when it gets to frame 2 it stops. I cannot get it to start. I think it is a simple issue but I cannot see it.
View 3 RepliesYet another dilemma with my external SWFs. How do I get the external SWF to only begin playing once the preloader ahs finished loading the complete file. Currently when the SWF file comes it has already started playing part way through the file.
View 2 RepliesI'm having some problems on some systems (seems to affect mostly 64-bit systems) where videos streamed from Flash Media Server 3.5 doesn't start from the beginning. I'm using NetStream.Buffer.Full to detect when the video starts. Usually this works ok, but sometimes the video doesn't skips a couple of seconds from the beginning even though the value of NetStream.time property is 0 when this happens.

Maybe you'll understand better if you can see what i'm working on: [URL] this is the link of the testserver where the website i'm building is running on. You'll see the huge banner in the center, rollover it an you'll see a slider and a pause/start button. The slider works great exept for 1 little thing. When you drag the slider to the utter left actionScript 3.0 will start the movie again (i asume), now drag to the right without interuptions and the slider won't move to the right as he should (all in one drag). Why ain't it possible to first slide to the start and then continue sliding?

I'm creating a movie with heavy animation and audio in Flash CS4. I have a preloader that I purchased from flash den.com and I believe it's pre set to begin the movie when the total file is done loading. But I want the movie to begin when half the total .swf file is loaded. Here is my code on frame 1

I have a problem animating the preloader of the site I've been working on. I want a movie clip (a dark grey rectangle) to start at width = 0 and then extend to the width of the stage. But it just doesn't move, it preloads perfectly but doesn't really extend with the progress event.

I have an flv loaded externally. I've added it to a movieclip and want it to fill the stage as my background and scale proportionally. The proportions work fine and the movie seems to scale fine. My problem is the movie doesn't start right away. It shows blank until I resize the browser then it shows up fine.Here is the code:

View 3 RepliesI am designing a website with html pages and flash pages. When the user open a flash page (embedded in an html page) i would want to have a preload script. I found a couple of them but they all need to start at the first frame and have a go to and play script after. So my problem is that I already have an important script that make a image follow my mouse and the script needs to be on the first frame to. Is there any way to have both or maybe to have the preloader on a separate file or even change the way my script is written ?

I'm currently recording and storing a ByteArray of sound and then playing it back. But for some reason the playback starting position of the ByteArray is 163840, not 0 as I need it to be.

This one is tough to diagnose. I built an animated jigsaw app that pulls in a dynamic .swf that can be viewed here: [URL] It works perfect in Chrome. Works in FF 3.5.5 until I start reloading. Doesn't even work in IE7. Could be a embed problem in the HTML. Could be something I did in flash. [I can get more into the methods I used] [for those that only see it working or don't see it working] There should be an orange animation of a morphing shape cutout into jigsaw shaped pieces and a start button. When it doesn't load, the animation, nor start button display. And the menu is slightly messed up.
View 2 RepliesI have assembled a preloader using the method from this site, everything seem to work except for one problem My site supposed to start from a black background and the image fading in. However once I placed the preloader the image dose not fade in but appears right away to the full strength after the preloader gone to 100% Looks like it jumps to a few frames after the first frame of the main swf file. Please take a look at [URL] If you reload again you will see how the image fade in.

View 2 RepliesFor this website I've put a preloader on the 1st frame and the site on the 2nd.I've tested the site after having created a small animation which makes appear the main menu, a logo and an image.Everything did work good, so I went on building the site.Now that I have created some pages I've tested again the whole site and the preloader doesn't work anymore.Testing the site on the "ctrl+enter" window and simulating the download I have a white background (both the preloader and website background are yellow) then I see the preloader for a fraction of second and suddenly the site appears.
Publishing the site on my web space the background is correctly yellow, but the preloader doesn't appear, the browser's loading bar stops at half then the preloader appears again for a fraction of seconds and suddenly the site appears (tested on Firefox, IE, Opera, Chrome and Safari, same behaviour with all of them).It looks that the preloader is become part of the site and that there is an invisibile preloader.The setting in: Publish settings -> Flash -> Script Settings -> Library Path -> Default Linkageis set to "Merged into code"the same happen if I set "Runtime Shared Library" and "Custom Preloader Loop".
