Jan 25, 2009I get the error "A script in the movie caused Flash Player 10 to run slowly."I'm doing a preload of an external swf via as2 which is around 7mb. Then the message "A script in the movie caused Flash Player 10 to run slowly" pops up around ever 15 seconds or so. However, this does happen with smaller files. Any suggestions? Many visitors may think the game is broken and leave the page.[code]I would also be happy if this problem is solved instead. Around 70%, some times 20% the sound of external swf plays. How can I define it so that sound does not play. I was suggested by some to insert an empty first frame, but I don't have source of all the games. so that is not a solution.

Sep 8, 2010I just finished up my site, and this is the only thing holding me back from publishing it. Whenever I "Test" my site, I get this error: " Your content will not stream. Runtime Shared Library (RSL) preloading will require all of your content to download before the first frame will play.
To prevent this you can change the Runtime Shared Library Library Settings, in the Advanced ActionScript 3.0 Settings dialog which can be raised from the Publish Settings dialog.The Runtime Shared Libraries being preloaded are:
textlayout_1.0.0.595.swz for TLF Text"
Does anyone know how to correct this error? If you do, could you please walk me through it step-by-step. I am still very new to "Flash Professional (CS5)" & "ActionScript (3.0)"

Aug 22, 2011I was writing a preloader for an main SWF file, when I came across on the following issue: My preloader loads main site placed in another SWF - I decided for this way because I have some fonts embedded and it should have big file size. I've done preloader, that has no problems with loading for example images. I tried with SWF and there's a problem: mainsite.fla - there's only blue rectangle named "square" that is fluid. May 17, 2011i have an index page (html) that contains an swf and a hyperlink. the hyperlink is set to skip the intro swf and open the main html page. there is no problem there. what i have been trying to find is an event listener that waits till the swf is finished and then goes to the main.html. i found an example that does what i want, but instead of opening a url it uses trace and shows me a message.

Scenario: I've got a frog catching a fly with his tongue. Once the frog-tongue movie clip is over, I want to remove both the tongue, and the fly from the timeline. Both the tongue and the fly are MovieClip objects. The tongue animation starts based on a TimerEvent. I'd like to say something like: when the tongue MovieClip ends, call removeChild() on tongue and fly.[code]...

This does load the file but If there are any & or % in the .txt file it stops the text at that point.

Apr 17, 2007I want to be able to know when a certain movieclip animation ends (Flash MX).For example: The players character shoots an arrow, while the arrow animation is on - the players character can't move when arrow animation ends - the players character is free to move again.
How do I do that?I've tried putting some AS in the last frame of the animation (letting the application know that animation has ended) but once in a while this AS doesn't execute - maybe Flash drops some frames (and that frame among them)?Do I have an event for movieclip ending (Flash MX)?Is the only way is to use timeouts (setInterval)?

When I click on the flv it then goes full screen and I no longer see the custom buttons I created for it and at the end of the movie I have to hit the esc btn to get out of it. but when it is not on full screen i have it programmed to go back to the menu after the flv ends.

What I envisage happening is: Button clicked, loads swf into empty <div> and chosen flv plays, in the script (AS3) I possibly have a listener that detects when stream has ended and closes the swf (popup). The movie starts with an intro and when that ends a "continue" button should appear and take you to the next part. My idea was to place a screenshot of the last frame in the next keyframe with a stop() function after the intro and add the button to that but it would be less work to make the button appear the end of the movie using some code I have no idea about

Right now I'm trying to do this simply by playing the mp3 from a keyframe in the timeline as an event. On the timeline I've placed a blank keyframe with an ActionScript attached to it that looks like this:

Dec 25, 2011I got this animation homework. I wanted to put a couple of bgm in it. I placed the first one, and it refuses to stop when the scene ends. I place the music in a individual frameline but it doesn't stop when frames end. So, I insert a keyframe behind it, and put this codes :

In which I got the errors : definition of flash.media.SoundMixer could not be found (twice), for line 1 access of undefined property soundmixer, at line 2. I also tried stopAllsounds; , which is also undefined (even after I import flash.media)
(ps: there is hardly any codes inside this animation - it only has the codes for the replay button)
