I'm doing for my website some animated pictures in flash (like banners):when the movie end I want it to loop, but not from the first frame to the last one. I want it to loop from a definite frame (for example "25") to the end.the Actionscript code to use?I tried in this way, but it doesn't work and give me errors:On the last frame: stop();Selecting the object: gotoAndPlay(25);

Have used the preloader at [URL] and it seems to work fine however after the last frame of the movie it appears to flick (quickly) back to the preloader info, note I want the movie to loop continually. it isn't such a big problem bur for a beginner like me it is.I have a movie clip called "Lion_beginning_mc", inside of it I have 3 Key Frames and Inside each and one of them I have different shapes.For example:Key Frame number 01 - DogKey Frame number 02 - CatKey Frame number 03 - MouseI want to move this movie clip "Lion Beginning_mc" form Key frame number 1 to Key frame number 20.I want the Dog,Cat and a mouse to change between each other only once while moving from Key Frame number 1 to 20.And then when the movie clip "Lion Beginning_mc" reaches his goal another movie clip or a frame (with a shape) will start.

Make A Wall That The Character Can't Go Through On Either Of The 4 Sides Or Even A Squiggly Line That Doesn't Have A Definite Shape

So I have a simple game I'm making where you are a box shaped character and you have basic movement around the screen. I know how to make walls and the coding but I would like to make a wall that the character can't go through on either of the 4 sides or even a squiggly line that doesn't have a definite shape. I used this coding:

And that does kind of work, but it's not stable (works better with one side only). Sometimes one side of the wall, the character will still be able to go through. The tool I'm using to make the wall is a rectangle tool if that makes any difference. And I'm on actionscipt 2.0 on adobe flash cs4.

Looping Animation On Stopped Frame

I'm new to flash, knowing only a couple of commands such as stop(); and gotoAndPlay.

I'm creating a UI menu for the beginning of a flash project. On a few layers, I have objects and buttons while the "stop();" command is applied to the frame to keep them on the screen as a Title screen or menu-like idea.

My problem is that I would like a animation, or a movie clip, or something that is looping in the background for a more detailed menu screen.. However, I can't figure out how to run the animation while the current frame is stopped.

I am making a game, which currently works(!) by playing frame one repeatedly. What I would like to do is add two more frames (before and after) with frame 1 being a menu, and frame 3 being another screen (like game over/menu).

Basically I want to have a button on frame 1 with start or w/e and then it goes to frame 2 and keeps repeating frame 2 until gameover=true or similar. How can I do this? (basic I know!)

I am having trouble getting my flash to start on a random frame.I have looked at many code examples to generate random number then pick this frame based on the generated random number. My problem is that the frames will jump all over the place because (I think) my code is on frame 1 and is being executed over and over causing it to gotoAndPlay different frames in a loop. I just have 5 images that cycle on a timer in action script but would like the initial starting image not to always be image #1(located at frame #1)[code]

I have to make a banner ad for my company's website that is 4 frames. It needs to play each frame about 3-4 seconds and then loop after 4th frame and continuously do so. It needs to begin this process when the web page is brought up without the user doing anything to it (so no clicking)And I have to keep it under 40k.I've found alot of tutorials for using external swf files and images but everything seems to use a button and I can't seem to get the coding down at all.

My latest Flash project is almost finished apart from one small but annoying thing. The first frame containing the preloader and no images keeps playing on loop with the rest of the movie, I just want the rest to loop and the preloader to disappear for good when it's finished doing it's preloader thing! I'm guessing there's some actionscript I have to put somewhere to stop the first frame playing on loop, I'm just not sure what or where.

Flash 10 :: Small Lack In Frame Looping?

I made a gear and created a 40 frame long tween for it using this: i36.tinypic.com/97tk0h.png @ 24 fps. But when the tween reaches the 40th frame and starts again from 1st frame there is a small small lack. I mean i pauses for very very very small time (almost not noticeable, but i see it anyway as developer). So is there any way how to make it work perfect with out the small lack/pause?

I have a keylistener that makes my player object gotoAndPlay(10) and I want it to play frame 10-28 then repeat until it's told to go elsewhere. I tried putting gotoAndPlay(10) on frame 28, but it never actually reaches the code. I tried putting a trace statement there. While the animation reaches frame 28, the actionscript is never run. Yet, if I move the code anywhere between 10 and 22 it does run. But 23 to 28 it does not. There are no keyframe structures that exist between 10 and 22 that don't between 23 and 28. Also, the gotoAndPlay() code only plays one frame of where I tell it to go then resumes the rest of what it was playing.Basically, I need to gotoAndLoop(10, 28) ... which I will write after I figure out how to make it work.

Ive created a banner ad in AS 1.0-2.0. The ad can only loop 4 times then it must stop. The following code does this at frame 170. The timeline is 170 frames in length, and this code is keyframed on an actions layer on frame 170 - however, I'd like the final stopped flash swf file to occur at frame 155. I can't just put this code on frame 155 - it skips a whole section of  animation (from frames 155 to 170) that I want to keep in the loops.

I've got an intro for a movie,and a single button appears around frame 58,and I've tried giving it a function so it will skip to fram 478 and play the whole movie from there on:

PlayCompl_btn.onRelease = function() {
gotoAndPlay(478);
}

but it keeps saying "statement must appear within handler" and I've got the same problem when the movie reaches frame 477 I want it to go back to frame 58 and play from there so it would loop all until the button is clicked:

I have my flash on multiple scenes, and would like to play an animation when clicking on the navigation button before switching to a different scene.

I'm halfway to accomplishing this.

Here is what i used

The above code is on a blank keyframe. Changepage1 is the start of the animation and Changepage2 is the end of the animation.

Upon clicking the navigation button it plays the above scenes.

However it doesn't change scenes to scene "Home2".

Looping The Movie Clip?

I have created a looping movie clip which I want playing in the background of my main movie which has multiple scenes. Obviously I cant drop it on the timeline in each scene as then when it skips scenes the movie reloads and there is a jerk on the screen. Is there a piece of actionscript that I can point to my SWF and just have it looping throughout the whole movie?

I'm not sure when it started happening, but I believe after the update my movie keeps looping if I test the movie. This never happened before. I'm not sure what went wrong? I never changed my action script or anything. What can be my problem?

The movie is 12 frames long .I have an action placed in frame no. 11 which says :

if(_framesloaded = 12) {
gotoAndStop(12);
}else{
gotoAndPlay(10);
}

This means that if the movie is not loaded , it will loop between 10 and 11.I have a movie clip on frame no. 10 and frame 11 is empty, this means that , the movie clip (a square ) should blink .Also , the movie when its loaded stops at 11 rather than going to stop at frame no 12 as per the actionscript .

I am having a problem with a looping set of movie clips. The first pass, works as expected, but the second pass only shows the static (original) movieclip that all others were duplicated from.

myArrayXML.load("params.xml");

...bunch of code... this works fine the images come in from xml and do get loaded.

--- however, the movieclip which calls the duplicated movie ---

Works as long as it passes through the array one time. Once the array starts over and is calling for Mag_insert_1 it presents the original movie clip (everytime it's called). The trace shows the that the name is correctly incrementing, but it still does not show the proper image.Here is a url http:[url].....after the "soul food" image passes by it gets stuck on that image.I want to know what I need to do to get this to work (as in continuously loop).

Looping Part Of A FLV Movie In Flash

I have a .flv movie file that I purchased from Istockphoto.com. I have placed it in my Flash CS3 file, and it works fine. However, once it plays, it loops back to the beginning, and I would prefer to loop it at the last 5 seconds of frames, so that it doesn't replay the entire video. Can this be done with Flash actionscripting or do I need to somehow do it in a video editor? Which wouldn't be ideal, as it would make a much larger file size.

Staggered And Looping Movie Symbols

I've created 5 different movie symbols that move a graphic symbol across the screen at various speeds. I want to create a movie that will play on continuous loop with the graphics moving across the screen with each symbol being generated in staggered time intervals. What I want to avoid is having the stage clear as each loop completes and the next one begins. I've tried to stagger by entering the start times of the movie symbols by entering them at different frames on the timeline, but as soon as the last frame plays, the whole screen clears.
