Dec 7, 2011I just downloaded Flash CS5 for mac which installed without any errors. However, when I first launched the software I am getting the following error: The following panel layout is missing or could not be read: /users/rob/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Flash CS5.5/en_US/Configuration/Workspace/Essentials.xml The application will not have a correct layout. load one from Windows ->Workspace Once past this message none of the panels load.

Mar 24, 2011I discovered this while doing some programmatic panel resizing:Components in a spark Panel will still be visible when their location is outside the physical Panel boundaries. This does not happen with the mx Panel.unning Flex 4.1 on Windows 7I tried putting mx and spark controls in the spark Panel, and they both appear outside of the boundaries. Note this doesn't happen with the mx Panel. What am I missing to make the spark behave like the mxSample Code:

Professional :: Access These "easy To Use" Older List Of Items In The New Panel?
Jan 15, 2010I am editing an old (2006) Flash file that was left over from a previous designer. He used AS 3. I noticed that old and new AS (F9) panels are different. I've looked everywhere in the new version to find the timeline functions that you can just double click on to add to the AS panel [see image] but can't find them.
Is it possible to still access these "easy to use" older list of AS items in the new AS panel?
ActionScript 3.0 :: Roll Over = Show Panel, Roll Out = Hide Panel?
Mar 3, 2011I have basic movie clips, On roll over, show arrows [NEXT, PREVIOUS] on movie clip [they then show other images inside movie clips]I can show arrows on roll over.But when i roll over the arrows the main ROLLOUT function gets called, the arrows hide. I've tried several flagging methods and have resulted in using a larger invisible border around the clip, rolling over that hides them.

Aug 27, 2010I've noticed recently (the last week) that when I open Flash CS4, the Tools panel and the Actions/Timeline/Compiler Errors/Output panel group are not automatically open, like they always were before. Does anyone know of anything I could have changed by accident?
At the same time this started happening, I have a file that has a moving hot spot that is set with keyframes (depending where the active button is on the bitmaped screen capture behind the button). Even though the button's onRelease handlers are advancing the timeline correctly, my button is not in the right place in the runtime version. If's still fine in the development environment. It's like the layers are out of sync with each other.
Flash :: Ide - CS5 Projects Panel Totally Gone?
Jun 13, 2010So, I popped open up Flash CS5 just now, and I couldn't find my projects panel. I was working on a dual screen set up previously, so my windows were everywhere anyways (sans external). I switched over to a smaller screen workspace, and popped opened the projects panel. Oddly enough, the code snippets panel came up instead. So, I switched off the code snippets, and tried again. I've been trying different ways of opening this panel for about 15 minutes, and I'm totally stumped. Some thorough googling didn't present any relevant results, so, StackOverflow, I turn to you. Is this a known issue? is there a secret backdoor way to open this panel?

Well i know where it lies if i used my own laptop with the prescribe flash in it. (FYI, i am using the company's installed flash in my assigned computer. i am an ojt here and since i finished their project early, i dont do much here anymore) so as pass time, i study flash for our thesis (my boss doesn't mind. Sep 15, 2011Ok the issue I'm having with flash is that the windows on the right side of my flash window do not snap up when I collapse a window. I am attaching a screen shot to better explain this issue.As you can see I have the color panel collapsed up, when I expand this panel and it goes down everything shifts down. however when I collapse it back up a huge gap is left behind in CS5.5 as is displayed in screen shot number 2. In CS4 I never had this problem. I could expand and collapse panels as I saw fit with no problems what so ever. Everytime now that I expand a panel and collapse it, the library or other panels do not move up with the collapsing. This causes a workspace issue. and forces me to drag up the library via the black line that is just above it but below the align panel so that I have better access to my library or properties panel for when I'm working. I find this highly annoying and would like it if there could be a fix produced to make it so this collapsing issue can be fixed and I don't have to waste time dragging up the library/properties panel everytime I need to access stuff in my library when I have a huge list of graphics I'm going through.

Sep 29, 2009I'm creating a flash portfolio which contains a 3D panel as a gallery which works relatively well right now. I wanted to put a preload so I put my preload code on the first frame and order to gotoandPlay(2) the second frame which works to but when the loading is done my 3D panel is totally ignored, the panel works with a class of course. Actually the problem seems to be more with the frame skip because I put my preload code in commentary and just having a frame before screws up my panel.
