I am trying to load a sereies of pictures moving accross the top from right to left.How do I load all of these photos in such a way that they seem to be stitched together like a piece of film strip at certain rate going accross?

I am trying to load a series of images into a MC using XML to provide URLs and other image data. The ultimate goal is to place each image (as a sprite?) in it's correct position in a MC, assign it an instance name and make it into a simple button. This button would then be used to load a large version of the image.I can make the images appear on the stage I expect they are only being put into the Display List, but cannot seem to be able to position them at a specific point taken from the 'xpos' and 'ypos' XML data, assign an instance name or make them a button.The code I have so far is:

resize function, basically I'm dragging out a series of images from an xml file, loading them into my loader_mc, and tabbing through the records with my previous and next buttons with the use of some caurina transitions (each image is positioned of stage in the x coordinate).All works a doozy, but I'm stumped with the resize thing,What I'm trying to achieve is to resize all images produced from the xml array proportionally ...I can't figure out how to do this.I would be very grateful for any tips, advice, solution etc...so that I can learn how to do this, no probs with as2...but need to forget about that now.

with a small script to load a series of images (img01,img02 and so on) and to put them all in a MC with each and every img in its own frame.That shouldnt be to hard but i cant figure out how to make it.All tutorials is fitted for 1 image only...In my head it looks like this (without correct syntax)

I could use some help with my resize function, basically I'm dragging out a series of images from an xml file, loading them into my loader_mc, and tabbing through the records with my previous and next buttons with the use of some caurina transitions (each image is positioned of stage in the x coordinate). I'm trying to make a series of images move on button press. The first will appear on the stage when the pages loads. There will be a next button which will make the current image move off to the left of the stage and the next move in to the stage from the right and stop in the center. There are about 10 images.

I also have to do the same to another page but with text and moving in vertically instead of horizontally. I have posted this at the bottom (as the images one is too big to post). Although this version is the one I did with tweens that did'nt work, you can have a play with it if you like?

I am trying to create a slider that will move a series of images in a movie clip based on the location of the slider. The problem I have is that when you click and drag the scroller it will move the images once but after that the images will not move. I am guessing that the problem is with my code. I want to move the _x of the images movie clip based on the _x of the slider. Here is the code I am using which is placed in frame one of the "timelineSlider" MC:

i need to load a series of variables into a menu. seems easy, i've done many times. the thing is, i have to get them from an asp who asks for a parameter.So i tried this:

loadVariables("/medidores/txtflash.asp?pkey=c0321733a51ffa323f", 0, "GET");

but this not seems to work. So, i tried this instead:

send_data = new LoadVars();
send_data.pkey=c0321733a51e82fadc8b3f081ffa323f;
trace(send_data.pkey);

does flash actually stores whatever is in txtflash.asp into "get_data"?

I have 9 movie clips which I want to load in random order, so that viewers who come to the webpage don't always see the same thing. I have them set up as 9 frames within another mc. I need EXCEPT it always displays the first one first, and then the rest in random order. I tried making the first frame empty, but then there was a big lag before it showed anything, because of the timer. Here's the script I used:

I have 3 flash movies: a.swf, b.swf and c.swf. And I create a main.swf to load those 3 movies orderly (from a to c).In the main.swf:- At frame 1, I put the script: loadMovie("a.swf","_root")- At frame 2, I did the similar job as with frame 1 with b.swf.Now the Flash Player only load the b.swf movie. There is no sign of a.swf to be loaded. Tho' I did unloadMovie a.swf before load this new one.

I am using actionscript 3. I can load an image in a class but how do Iload a number of images eg 4 images that animate.?These 4 images are a walking sequnce of a character. I am unclear after googling an loading multi images in as3( just love google).

Loading a single image I load this into a loader Once loaded I load the image into a bitmap and add to a sprite I then add the spite to the stage Q)Now for 4 related images I load 4 loader or 4 sprites or 4 bitmaps or do every thing 4 times?I want to do collisions eventually and I need bitmaps but bitmaps seem useless to use other than collisions.Googling for answers isnt helping me clarify this!

I have successfully dynamically loaded Jpegs into my flash document(using PHP), but then I have another small problem.When I dynamically load the image (example: image_icon_bluesky.jpg) I then need to tell the MC that is holding the loaded image that it needs to do this...

}

SO basically every time a new image is loaded in my sort of "loop" script. I need to tell the image that it needs to put specific code onto the MC using specific "image" details for that specific image.

I hope this is clear. Basically what I'm trying to do.On my flash stage I already have MC's that have their alpha properties set to "0". Lets say there are 3 images. One MC is called Blue, other is called Red and the last one is called Yellow.Now using AS + PHP I have dynamically loaded 3 Jpeg's .

I've got a Flex/as3 application that is embedded into my webapp. Currently we're embedding images into the swf and loading them like:

There are two things I'm trying to accomplish. The first is the images in the swf are part of a pool of images that the whole web app uses. Currently i have 2 sets of images, one set are images that the rest of my app uses, and the other are duplicates that are used by the swf.

The reason for that is build related (ideally, we could fix this, but fixing the build process is something bigger than i want to tackle at this point in time) I have a ton of images to load up and instead of having a giant ugly if/else block, i was hoping to make a naming convention for the icons, so i could just build a string at runtime and use that to load an image. Is there a way to look up embedded images via a path, or image name? It seems that images/foo.png is floating somewhere around in the swf. Can i get to it without using foo?

Im currently making a flash website. and trying to make it as light as possible.so decided to load images dynamically.Im using UILoaders.I drag the UILoader from components into the main timeline and set the source as 1.jpg, because the image is in the same folder as the .fla file.and scale - false

Tested the movie but nothing shows up. i guess i need some coding? but i dont know where to add the codes. on the same frame? or in frame 1? i also need the image to fade-in.the end result im looking for is, as i click a button. 3 images show up at the same time, fading in.

im trying to figure out how to load images thru XML. I can get one image to load to one MC named upperLeftmc.load_img, however, I have 5 more mc's on my main timeline that need different images loaded. One mc is called MidLeftmc.load_img, BottomLeftmc.load_img and so on. But how do I get these images loading into more than just my Upperleft mc? They all have to be different images too, so my xml looks like

I looked through the forum and couldn't find any thread specifying my problem. I bought a flash template from monster-templates.com and I change the pictures in the gallery folder (kept the same file names). When I test movie, the gallery works fine, but when I upload the site on the server it won't show my pictures. does anyone know what could be the issue? Below is part of the XML code.
