ActionScript 3.0 :: Loading External SWF Inside Existing Empty MC

I would like to automatically load an external swf inside an existing empty mc (or a new one) and load/unload different external swf on several button click functions. I've been trying so many different methods until its probably loaded with irrelevant functions!

What I wan't to do is load a .swf into an existing .swf to keep down loadtimes. I've placed the visual representation of the actuall loading on the external .swf [URL] (Actuall website I need this for, I'm redesigning it)
I would copy the elements/AS from the website above but it doesn't work. So obviously I've missed something. What I've got is quite simply:

I have this script to load external swfs to the stage. But I want to load them into a empty clip called "emptymc".I know I need this: MovieClip.addChild(Loader);But not sure where to place it.
I've got a flash site where most of the content is loaded with external swf's. Instead of creating a holder, I create a "container" and load the movie onto it. Here's the code for that:
How do I make a preloader for this? Every tut I see you have to have a physical empty movie clip called "holder_mc" in order to preload. Is there a way, or should I just physically make a "holder"? It'll be a giant pain for me to redo all of this so I'd prefer to know if there's a way of preloading...
how to load external SWFs into an empty movieclip, and then having them unload when another is selected. At the moment, all I can do is load the swf onto the stage with no positioning, and clicking the other button just loads the next swf on top.

I'm loading an external swf into an empty mc called "emptyMC" on my main timeline. That loaded swf loads another swf into an empty mc called "view2" when a button is pressed. Code: on (release) { loadMovie("tabletennis.swf", "_root.emptyMC.view2"); } The above code isn't working right. I'm not sure how to target each empty MC in sequence in order for this to work.
The problem is this: I am loading 4 external SWFs into an empty MC on the main stage for each of the 4 projects.So you press a button on the main stage for a project, and it loads that specific SWF.These SWFs contain an opening text for each project, a button to "continue" to the gallery, then the text fades out and the gallery loads.That's all within the SWF itself.The SWFs work fine on their own, but the problem is that when I load the SWFs into the empty MC on the main stage, the "continue" button doesn't work correctly The SWFs load fine, it's just the button At first when I pressed the button it would send my main stage back to the first frame, so I thought it was because the AS for the button in the SWF was probably conflicting with the main stage and confusing it. I went back into the SWFs and tagged part of the SWF timeline with the name "togallery" so that when you click the "continue" button, in theory, Flash knows specifically where to go within the timeline of the SWF and not the timeline of the main stage.
That hasn't worked either. The button just doesn't work at all now, at least not when the SWF has been loaded onto the main stage. Again, it works fine on its own. So what can I do? How can I get a button within an external SWF to reference only it's own timeline and not that of the main stage?
I have 20 external .swfs im trying to load into 20 blank movieclips . i am trying to load them randomly into each blanck movieclip without the external .swf's duplicating.

I used to do this fine with AS2 and now i'm struggling to get it to work in AS3.my code is as follows:

I created a site using Kirupa's external .swf loading tutorial. Now in one of my externally loaded .swf's, I am loading another external .swf. I've gotten this to work fine, but the second external .swf (loaded into the first) contains buttons that will swap this second external .swf with another external .swf. I can't seem to get the AS references to the variables set up correctly in order to swap the swf's. The initial .swf loads fine, but the button control gets complicated inside it. It sounds rather confusing, so I've included a link to the .fla's and .swf's below.

-The buttons in profiles_main.swf are trying to load chris.swf (swapping it entirely with profiles_main.swf)
I'm trying to load an external swf inside of my movie clip. meter.loadMovie("external.swf"); I managed to get the above to work but as soon as I press a button in the external movie it reacts with my main movie! So a button in the external movie that makes the timeline go to frame 2 makes the main flash file to goto frame 2. Also, can you load external swf files that use external folders for content? Basically I have an interactive diabetes meter and it's all controlled via scripting ( I didn't create it ) but it has the main swf file which you load. However it references other folders and scripting files.
In my main .swf I have labels on the timeline, navs for those btns are on the first frame of the AS layer and each button sends the playhead to a different frame. On one frame called fr1 there is an mc called mc_1 that appears on stage when the playhead stops there. Inside mc_1 are a set of navigation buttons that need to call external .swfs.
Do I add event listeners on the last frame of mc_1 for each button? how do I call the loaders for the swfs on the buttons since the swfs will load on the main timeline NOT the mc_1 timeline?
So label on main timeline called fr1 will load external1 swf , on fr10 external 2.swf will load and so on.
I have created a Flash-based image gallery using a template purchased from Activeden.net and have successfully published this on a dedicated html page that contains nothing but the SWF file. I would now like to learn how to add an SWF movie to an existing web page. In other words, the movie would run within a rectangular space in a position of my choice surrounded by loads of other stuff.
My first attempts to add a Flash movie to an ASP.NET aspx page were only partially successful. The movie runs within its allocated space but I can only see the bottom third. The rest is cut off by the upper edge of the rectangle (which is big enough to take the whole movie).
I am new to SWCs in Flash (I have CS5.5). I would ike to know if there is any documentation out there that shows how to create a SWC from an existing FLA and then access a symbol inside that SWC via its class name linkage via Action Script 3 from a different FLA.
I have the following code to control the x position of one single movieclip (company_mc) with five button mc's (btn_corporate, btn_dimitriou, btn_cars, btn_cycles, btn_hertz):
Now I also want to control tha alpha fade for 5 photo_mc's (photo_corporate, photo_dimitriou, etc etc) So if btn_corparate is pussed photo_corporate should go to alpha 100 and the others to alpha 0. I think it has something to do with a nested loop, but I'm not sure and also don't know how to implement such a nested loop insite the existing loop.

I know I need to right click on the image in the library, export it, give it a class name, and I need to assign an url to it which would be 'image1' in this case.I was thinking of this, but I cannot get the url right, and I dont know how to refer to the firstkeyframe after I've loaded it...

Recently, I found a great little Flash project that acts like a jukebox for external mp3 song files, and am using it on my website to play my song demos.I'm now trying to find if there is an existing solution like that for video. I just need some way to progressively download video files from my webspace when the thumbnail is clicked... and am now looking into some sort of Flash jukebox.
I've tried just embedding the video files into HTML, but they don't progressively download for some reason (even though they are saved as Progressive With Compressed Header). I've even tried using prettyPhoto (...a script that mimics a Lightbox like feature, where the whole page dims, and a floating window appears over your site, displaying any media, and allowing you to move back/forth through your list of media)..... works great, but again, not a progressive download, so you stare at a blank screen for a while.
Seems the only way it works is if I have the file on YouTube or some other site, then embed it or use the prettyPhoto app.So, can someone either tell me how to make the embedded file download (OT, but I figured I'd ask), or point at some existing Flash file that serves as a video jukebox, showing all media on a common window?

I have a file with existing MovieClips on the stage that I want to add Loaders to that will call external .jpgs from an XML file. I have the code working, but currently I have to add the Loaders one by one to the MovieClips. I'm sure there's a way to do this more easily by using a Loop, but I can't seem to get it to work no matter what I've tried.
I also want to be able to call a larger version of the image by clicking on the MovieClip/thumbnail. I've got the code working just fine, but when I tried to add a preloader to the full size image Loader, I got an error: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. Flash indicates this is happening at the callFull function so its definitely an error with my preloader code. [code]...
I have an Existing FLA file (It is my Project file) and I have downloaded one good example Class file with Fla. But there is no code at all on the stage just it is retrieving instructions from the Class. How can I use this class file in my existing fla file.
I have small question about loading movieClip. I have index.swf file and inside some mc with instance name "empty_box" and I wanna load other *.swf file from outside to mc empty box. How do that?
