ActionScript 3.0 :: Preloader Numbers Refusing To Go Away?
Dec 16, 2010
I am working on an interface project and I'm putting the final touches on it. I have a preloader, an intro, and the actual interface. I have the intro being called in by the preloader and the interface being called in by the intro. My problem lies in the preloader (I think). What's happening is once the preloader gets to 100, everything but the number "100" goes away and my intro starts. So all through my intro, there's a big "100" sitting in the middle of the frame. Once the interface appears, though, the number goes away.
Why is IE refusing to render a swf on my site? [URL] What could cause that to happen? Chrome and Firefox can open it but IE9 won't show the swf. The page's code:
I've been Googling tutorials and so forth but can't find something like this.I wanna do a Preloader, except rather than having"50% Loaded"I want"fifty percent loaded"How does one do this, without having to write in 100 frames of individual text?
The preloader works perfect but I would like it to display text instead of numbers as it loads. So it would be like "one, two, three, four,...." What do I need to do?Code is below
I want to generate a variable number of random numbers less than 16 with no duplicate numbers
Ive posted the fla, and what i'm doing is generating a random number and putting it into an array then using a for loop to cycle through the array for each new random number to check if its already there. if it is, then i want to regenerate that number.
if you test the fla you'll see that all i get in my array is some lovely zero's and i sort of know why this is, but don't know how to stop it.
I am trying to convert a string having numbers to an integer.
//15 9's are there var str:String="999999999999999" var res:Number = new Number(str);
But it is not able to convert correctly as the the var res now has the value 100000000000000000. I know that the number has 52 bits of memory, then why is it not able to do the conversion?
create a function that picks out X amount of numbers from a set of numbers? So if X=3, then i need this function to pick out 3 different numbers from say a set of numbers (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) and then stored it into X number of variables.
In saying that, X will only =2, and =5. So in the first instance, i'll need 2 random numbers from the set above that are not the same numbers, and second instance 5 random numbers from the set above (also no repeats of numbers). Then i need to be able to store those 2 or 5 different random numbers from the set into variables to call them with other functions.
I have been using Actionscript 3.0 in Adobe Flash Builder for a few weeks, and I really like it! Bare with me because I'm not really good at it, yet. Anyway, I was wondering how would I go by adding up odd numbers from an array of numbers? I know how to make all of the numbers add up, but adding only the odd numbers I'm not so sure how to do it.
Everything seems to be a string right now & that kinda ruins the whole xml as an internal data structure thing, I don't need a big tree of string I need typed data :-/ Are there any changes I can make to either my XML files or my AS3 code that will force it to cast ints as ints and Numbers as Numbers? Or maybe some kind of type schema I can impose? Not really worked with XML til recently so chances are I'm just ignorant of the canonical way to deal with this...
how to make text acting as a preloader so that its color changes as preloader percentage. i dont mean how to apply the math, i mean how to mask it or whatever action to achieve that effect?
like for example imagine the red is constantly growing to the right letter by letter (actually pixel by pixel:
I just started working on a preloader screen that includes a preloader mask over a logo and a percentage dynamic text. I can get either or to work but not both at the same time. I notice that if I remove stop(); I can get the percentage to work but not the preloader image. With the stop(); embedded the image preloader works but the percentage doesn't.
I want to make a preloader for flash mx 2004 that when it finish becomes to decrement another time. I would like to do it to modify the flash preloader component.
i tried the tutorial that teaches you how to create a preloader....i followed the instructions and it still doesnt work! what's wrg?[code]on my first frame actions....i put the "gotoAndPlay (36)" cause i tried a previous preloader that took more than 1 frame and didnt want to change my button's "goTo" frames...but i figured it wont change anything..anyways, i put that line of code as my first frame action....by double clicking the timeline..then i create a symbol for that frame 1 and created an animation.
Ie the preloader and steps through a preloader animation filling the logo (ie loader)Now I have tried changing a few things but having problems tried loading into a container and a level
i have a one simple swf preloader on my site. i'm showing my short fractal animation. but swf size/quality is not good and i want convert my swf preloader to flv preloader. but i'm not expert on action script. here is my old preloder script. i would like if anybody change the codes for flv. i will gift 1 year 3dfiction membership.
Code: var loader_mcl = null; var target_mcl = null; var preload_anim_visible:Boolean = false;[code]......
I'm wrapping up a small corporate website, but I left the preloader to do until the very end, so instead of changing any layout of my View, I just moved everything to frame 2, and put the preloader on frame 1. I'm using some of the code here: http:[url].... which seems pretty ace.
The problem I'm having though is that CS5's built in preloader is going and loading the whole swf, then it runs my preloader (on frame 1) which causes it to move strait to frame two instantly (I changed it so now it at least plays through the animation then moves on, but it's still not loading anything during that screen).that is causing flash to load the entire swf before even playing my preloader on frame 1. I don't remember having this problem in CS4.
has anyone had any problems with addition? I'm trying to get two numbers to add and instead it is concatenating them together as a string, however when I multiply, divide, or even subtract them it works fine.
im working on a project for a website, i'm currently having a lot of trouble when i try to add two numbers together.
[Code]...
it all works fine apart from this line here where its adding the old "numberstore" in with "number2" to create the new "numberstore". I've tried all different combinations to get this to work, but all i keep getting is e.g. 1+1 = 11 not 1+1=2.
How do I add numbers in Actionscript 3? I have two dynamic texts totalscore.text = "3"; and myscore.text = "2"; I'm trying to add them like this totalscore.text += myscore.text; And I get this answer 32 instead of 5 it just attaches them instead of adding. why? I also tried it like this var my_score:Number = myscore.text; totalscore.text += my_score; But it still attaches them numbers together instead of adding.
