I have an input text on stage. I want to delete a letter of this text by a button. For example if the text is "large". I want to delete "a" in large. I place the cuirsor at right hand side of "a" and delete "a" by pressing a button. Expecting a script for this button.

View 2 RepliesI've got an inputfield.OnChange Event Handler.When someone types a letter, i want the letter to become 0, then 1, then 2, and so on until 9 and then i want the letter to be there.And when they click on another letter, same effect happens.so at the end if i typed, "testing", each letter scrolls 0-9 like a roll dial and settles on the letter typed.What i've managed to do is make it work, but if i type at normal speed and not slow, i end up getting something like: t32t43g
View 3 RepliesI have a combo box that I'm trying to enter a letter for to search values for that particular letter and I keep getting this error. Every other combo box works fine when a key is pressed so I'm not sure why this particular combo box registers an error. The complete error looks like this:

I am using a flash swf from the website[url]...where it allows me to upload images via an xml file to the flash movie. However the flash movie is changing the mouse cursor to hand-cursor when passing the mouse on it, and also it is allowing users to click on the movie, while I wanted to leave the mouse cursor to remain as an arrow, and prevent users from clicking on it, I tried the following code, whereby I used another flash movie to call the dewslider swf, but in IE it is not working, although in firefox it is ok..[code]...

The problem is if I move the cursor away too quickly the rollOut does not happen and the button is left in rollOver state.

I am implementing a flex auto-suggest combobox - as the user types in each character: Consider the string 'Stackoverflow' and user input = 'st'
1) the data provider is filtered to show all items starting with 'st'
2) text is set to auto-suggest string such that the un-typed part is highlighted.
So for instance, the combobox text may contain st'ackoverflow', where 'ackoverflow' is highlighted using setSelectedIndex()When I hit back-space or delete, and check the 'this.text' value, I expect that the last un-highlighted character ('t' in the above case) gets deleted and the data provider is filtered to show all items starting with 's'. However the text property contains 'st', as before
i hav a left right moving thumbnail gallery from xml, i need that on the last image image come on focus from the left side so automatically the left button will be disable or opacity goes 0 anything and same thing from right side also.

My vision is to have a colored square at the top of the site Im working on which should span across the entire browser window. I have created a square 1280 x 100 pixels in size and imported it to the stage, alignment is set to x=0, y=0 ad alignment. The scene is the same size as the square I 've imported. When I view my Flash creation its displayed 8 pixels from the top left corner of the browser window. The flash file only contains the square and nothing else. take a look at the 3 files I've attached: issue-scrreen1-3.jpg. The first 2 screens are my Flash, properties and library screen shots. The third screen shot is my browser window.

I am making use of a custom cursor on itemRenderers in a List component. The custom cursor works just fine except when I mouse over the Text component which is a child of the itemRenderer at which point I get two cursors, the custom and an iBar one on top of the other.Here's the code:

so the custom cursor I'm using works on the main timeline of my project. However, there are buttons in the application that load in movie clip pop-up windows and when this happens the cursor stays on the main timeline behind the movie clip resluting in the cursor not being seen. View 1 RepliesFor some strange reason, i cant get the precise cursor to work on the pencil tool. I prefer to use the pencil tool when drawing things. I usually use the brush tool for painting in the lines , or sketching something out. I did went to preferences, but even so, the pencil still doesnt turn into a precise cursor.
