On both my work and home computers I have this problem where the font in the action panel gets all screwed up and the ends of words get cut off even though the text is there and working. Anyone have an idea on how to fix it? Both computers are Macs running 10.5.5 and Adobe Flash CS3. See below for an example

It worked previously - I created an Actions Layer and was able to add action script, however, when I try to open it back up to edit the action script I wrote, neither the F9 shortcut nor the Windows>Actions pulls up the Actions Panel. In fact, when I try either method, nothing happens.

View 1 RepliesThis is kind of a lame complaint, but any benefit I have gained from upgrading from CS4 to CS5 is being eclipsed by the frustrating change that while I am trying to use the "Find" tool in the "Actions" panel, as soon as I hit "Find Next" the Actions panel closes and I have to close the Find tool then re-open the Actions panel then again to see if it found what I was looking for then re-open the Find tool if I need to go to the next instance. I know this does not seem like the biggest of deals, but is there a way to fix this?
I will also add that this happens when the panel is clicked from the icon. If the whole panel is free floating it works fine, but then it is obviously blocking the whole stage, and I have to collapse it to an icon to see anything. There is also the possibility that it is computer/OS difference since my CS4 machine and my CS5 machine are two different computers one running XP and the other running Vista.
Is there a way of importing my class using the Actions Panel on frame 1.[code]No errors but the constructor function does not run, how do I get this working? (Everything is fine when I use the Document Class box and typ in the name of my class - but I want to do this on the first frame of the main timeline).

View 1 RepliesI have a Flex custom BorderContainer component which has text inside of it. If I were to add this in my main Application inside of a panel, the BorderContainer goes outside of the width bounds of the panel due to the text being a set size. I have all of its components in percentages so that it re-sizes when shrunk, but the one part that contains checkboxes and labels (lots of things with text) mess up since the font size doesn't change.
I am pretty positive that the results I am looking for can be done through embedding the font, though I have not been able to come up with a solution from online. I am trying to do this with a CSS style since I will be using it for many different components (I dont just want to change it in the flex code directly).
EDIT Solution:
I attempted to use the ratio as www0z0k had suggested but it caused some serious issues when it was re-sized quickly or to a small screen (the component would not re-size correctly because it was multiplying by the ratio. What finally seems to have worked for me and caused no issues was that I ran the code and found the width (1152) and height (842) of the container.
I then created a const variable of widthX = 1152 and heightY = 842 and in the onResize() function I coded the resize like this:
(where bottomGroup is the id of the borderContainer I am trying to resize)

bottomGroup.scaleY = height / heightY;

So far I have found some examples of embedding fonts in the <fx:Style> and attempted to remove any delaration of fontSize but that doesn't seem to work.

I would like to create a component(extending from spark Panel), which upon a buttonclick should show up next to the button(something like a bubble popping up or like the small box opening up when hovering up on profile links in facebook/twitter). I tried to create a component that implements mx.core.IToolTip and provided the methods required by the interface. And on the toolTipCreate event, set this component as the tooltip.
This works to an extent. When I bring the mouse over the button, the panel appears as the tooltip and goes away when i move the mouse away. What I need is, the panel should appear next to the button when click on it and should go away only when I click outside the panel or click the close button present inside the panel.
I am unable to click on "Allow" button in my Adobe Flash Player Settings panel that pop's up because half of it is hidden behind divs making it "unclickable".I tried setting negative z-indices on the divs that are overlaying it and I also tried giving a prositive z-index to the div holding the Flash Player Settings panel
View 2 RepliesI am using this collapsible panel - link. Unfortunately, I have a problem using it with application states. I have a state where this panel is visible, when I switch to this state, this panel shows, when I click on it, it opens and its content shows. If I switch to another state (this panel is removed from display), and then switch back to the previous state, the collapsible panel stays open, but its content disappears. In other words, the collapsible panel's content doesn't persist through states. Anyone know what the problem is? Or is there another collapsible panel that can work around this issue?
View 2 RepliesI made a flash website with photo galleries using a component that I bought online. The component is loading the image in a thumbnail scroll bar via a XML file and the full size image display in a UILoader. So far nothing special. But when I reach a certain amount of pictures in the gallery, the scroll panel get stuck while loading and doesn't display the full size image. Then the thumbnails don't react at all.

how do I embed my fonts so it'll show both the regular and the bold version of the font? It just works on my Mac but when I look at it on a PC it doesn't even display the right font. Instead of the bold version of the font, how could I use the black version of the font instead?
I just downloaded Flash CS5 for mac which installed without any errors. However, when I first launched the software I am getting the following error: The following panel layout is missing or could not be read: /users/rob/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Flash CS5.5/en_US/Configuration/Workspace/Essentials.xml The application will not have a correct layout. load one from Windows ->Workspace Once past this message none of the panels load.

How can I get the notes to display? when I to to the symbol it shows the letter of the alphabet but in the fla when I look at the Text, Font it has the (Musical Symbols) Default Font selected as it should.
