Apr 20, 2010I'm trying to create a "spiral" or "vortex" image. (not a movie, but an image)Basically, what I want is to get an image, convert it to a symbol, and then run the script. The script should take that image and automatically make it repeat 1000 times, rotating slightly each time, getting slightly smaller each time, and moving slightly toward the center each time. (So it would start on the outside rim, and get slowly smaller as it moves towards the center of the vortex.)
So the end result would look like million of your image, vortexing into infinity.I think this would be easy for someone (with better skillz than me) to program. So I figured it probably already exists out there somewhere. Does anyone know where I can download such a program? (freeware preferred, obviously)

Apr 16, 2009I'm trying to develop a website in flash where the main content will be delivered as "pages" in a spiral bound notebook. In simplist terms, i want to have the image of a spiral bound notebook with "tabs" on the side that will "flip" to the selected page. When it flips, the page on top will "flip around" just like if you were holding a spiral bound notebook. that will reveal the requested "page" where each "page" contains a text box that gets its content from an external html file.
the part that i really need help with on is the page flipping. i have searched everywhere, but can only find "catalog" style flipping - which i dont want. i want only 1 page to be shown at a time with the "rest" laying underneath.

Apr 9, 2009I modified a 3D spinning carousel that loads images by an external XML file to give it a 2D circle look. Then I took out all the code for the movement so it would remain stationary, but kept the code to adjust radius etc.This is great, except now the client would like the icons to be displayed in a spiral instead of a circle. I'm not the greatest when it comes to mathWhat do I need to change or add etc in order to get the images to display in a spiral (say starting in the middle and spiraling out clockwise)? Do I need to add more math in the sin and cos parts? or maybe there is a much simpler way to do this?In the flash file, I have a 600x600 pixel stage with this code on the first frame:

Dec 15, 2009I am struggling to find a way to animate a fill of text in Flash CS4. The concept I am looking for is that over a time period have the color rise from the bottom to the top. My initial attempt was to have 2 objects, one filled with the color and the other filled with white. I was hoping to just adjust the borders of the object or text to have it disappear, but that just reshapes the object, not cropping it. If you know how to crop into objects and reveal the object beneath, let me know.
I am very new to Flash so hopefully it is a simple answer, but I am not seeing it yet.

I have created the animation for text in a movie clip, but now I need to dyanmically load text from either an xml or txt file, drop a phrase into the movie clip and animate over the photos every few seconds. (There will be about 10 sections of text to animate throughout the movie).

Dec 4, 2010I decided that this was okay but I wanted to change it so text/staff etc.would update dynamically from a text file. Got this working and moved on to simple alpha tween animation.I have several dynamic buttons that fade onto the stage perfectly. When the user selects a button a variable is loaded which updates the adjacent dynamic text box (within a MC). However, if I try to tween this text box, it goes to full alpha if I place stop() in the last keyframe.If I remove stop() it will loop and display correctly.

Apr 30, 2009Basically all I am trying to do, is place a simple text animation on a separate layer and animate it. Every time I insert the first keyframe on the first character of the text I am animating, it turns the whole document white. When I preview it like this, the white "layer" pulses at the set frame rate I have applied. I have played around with moving the layers and what not and I cant get this problem to go away.
