I imported a logo into Flash 8, and it has a white box around it. How can I remove the white space in Flash, or if I have to do it in another Adobe product, how do I do I export it so that it will import into Flash without the box.

I am having issues with trying to insert a "mailto" link in a flash file. I can create the text no issue, but as soon as I add a link to the text it removed the "dot" and the @ symbol from the url and scrunches all the letter of the email address together, sometimes to the point where some of the letters aremissing. The first image shows the url on the stage, the second image is a test of the scene. It is very frustrating and I don't know how to fix it. I have deleted the entire line and redone it, but still no joy.

I'm wanting to create a moving object that will be exported into a tv commercial. Object has already been created in Adobe Illustrator, and now will be dropped into flash for adding movement. The destination commercial will be created in Sony Vegas, with the settings of (Australian) PAL television (25 fps, 576x720 pixels, lower field first).Thus keeping it simple, I want to set Adobe flash with the same output format, meaning that the canvas will have to be 576x720 pixels at 25 fps. So far this seems to have worked okay.Now I'm wanting to get rid of the canvas colour, just like I have here in this photoshop screen shot.
Judging by the colour palette in Flash Professional, it looks like it can't be done. I've checked "transparent palette" through yahoo and google, and had no results. The adobe documentation only details how to remove a background in Photoshop.
I have converted a large background image (much larger than the stage) into a Movie Clip. I did this so I can make it scroll as the player traverses to the edge of the scene.This appears to make the player free to roam the entire background image.I have a tree symbol with a class attached to it that blocks player movement.Here is my problem:
When I drag and drop instances of the tree symbol onto the background, the trees are stationary and do not scroll with the background.I do not want to have to implement code to make the trees scroll when the background does.I was wondering if there was a way to simply attach the trees to the background so that if the background moves, the trees move with it and appear to be part of the background as if they were drawn into it.It is convenient for me to be able to drag and drop as many trees as i need to block certain routes on the background from the player.I tried writing code to make the trees move but it was only working for the very last tree that I added to the scene.
I am trying to put a flash background on my website that will loop over and over.I created the file in after effects but understand that it is best to export to flash to keep file size down.I have tried exporting from after affects using F4L, FLV, and XFL and always seem to get a file size of 2-4 MB.My video is only 8 seconds long and I exported at half resolution so I am unsure why it is so largeWhen I import F4L and FLV to flash and then export as an SWF file, the file does not work on my website(nothing shows). View 5 Replies1. I am creating a Flash banner to go at the top of my website that is going to animate the name for the site one letter at a time. I have this part of the banner completed as a movie symbol that I have added to my main timeline. What I was wonder is if it is possible to set a timer or some type of pause for how long I want it to wait before looping again? I dont want to stop the looping all together but would like to maybe make it pause for 5 minutes or so before starting animation again. Keep in mind it has to be done within the movie symbol becuase I have other animation going on the main timeline that will just continuously loop.
2. Is it possible to set a flash swf to the background of a html document? The reason I ask is again with my banner I am creating I have a menu bar that is about 3/4 of the ways down the height of banner. I want me primary animation to be able to move behind this menu bar. I realise I can make the menu straight in flash adding my links directly to it, but I would perfer to handle that in straight html or whatever if possible.

Is there a major issue with rendering Flash in Safari?
I have search for a way to display, for example, Adobe Home Page in Safari and be able to see all the menus "on top" and have not found a solution.
I have tried setting wmode to either opaque or transparent but no change.
I am using the latest download of Safari (vs 4.0.4[531.21.10]) on Windows 7.
I've changed nothing that I know of in making flash slideshows using swish and exporting to .swf format for inclusion in Dreamweaver except that now all of a sudden the flash item has a white background -- but only on my computer it seems when testing online; locally, it doesn't do that when testing and when using a different computer it doesn't do that. Any idea why a flash item would have a white background in some cases and not in others like that?
Like I said, I've changed nothing and have never had to put any parameters in place or do anything else of the kind; the swish program itself specifies the background as red, not transparent (not that the page the flash item is on has a white page anyway). I don't know if this is a swish, flash, dreamweaver problem or some bug on my particular computer that I can't figure out.
how do make it so no matter how big my stage is, my background will tile on the stage AND off the stage forever and ever and ever and ever?
View 3 RepliesI've read through several tutorials but I must be doing something wrong on this. I'm using Adobe Flash Pro CS4. I am trying to create a short clip that fades text in over a bacground video. When I create a motion tween on the text track, I'm generating an error and the background video is no longer visible in the preview. Instead, I see the text over the stage background color. It is as if the background video track has switched to wireframe. Here are the steps I've followed:
1. Created Flash File (ActionScript 3.0).
2. Imported Video into the State background layer - it appears as a black image in the it previews fine at that point
3. Created new layer for text and placed text - it previews fine at this point, text is overlaying video
4. I right click on the text block and choose convert to symbol.
5. Next with the play head on the first frame and the Text layer selected I choose Create Motion Tween. View 1 RepliesI have some stock footage of smoke on a black background (.mov format) that I would like to convert to a flash file with a transparent background, which I will be overlaying over a PNG image on a webpage.
I have managed to remove the black background in After Effects using a plugin called UnMult, but when I try to render as a FLV file in AE, even though I check the option to preserve the alpha channel and encode using the On2 VP6 codec, I still get a black background.
So I am wondering what else to try, whether it be with AE or Flash CS4. Is there a way of achieving this effect by directly importing the MOV file into Flash CS4 and removing the black background there, or do I have to use AE, and if so, how to achieve the effect I am looking for?
I see that the background music in my Flash site is located in a symbol called muz When I click the properties of this symbol, the sound file's location is listed as.flashsoundmuz.wav I couldn't find that sound sub-folder in the flash folder nor could I find the file. I tried doing a search to look for the muz.wav file in my computer but it could not be found. Does anyone know how I can find and save this file?
View 3 RepliesI am colorblind.I need to change either the color of the background or the color of the text on the layers section on the Timeline.I simply cannot read/see what is currently showing.It is a very light blue background with white text and white dots for seeing, locking, or setting the outline color.I need to either change the text color and dots to black so I can see them, or try to change the background color to a dark blue so I can read the white text.Changing the text color would really be my preference. Adobe hasn't been very concerned about colorblindness when developing these products. I can barely make out all the light grey/grey/dark grey/grey stuff.
