Is there a way of getting the current active document path from the flash application by AppleScript? The only command available in the Adobe Flash dictionary for applescript is "do script", can I call a script to get the path of active document?
View 1 RepliesI am trying to resize my current document.It is currently 1000px and I want to make it 1300px but when I do that, all the elements that is near the top becomes off the screen to the top.I only want the document to be longer in height from the bottom but not sure what it is affecting the elements on the top?

EDIT: Due to probable missunderstanding, I mean local applications - on your win/mac/linux machine - I would like to (in process of learning of language) track what apps I use the most, make a little graph maybe?

How can I code it so that the clicked button that represents the 'current' slide changes color until another button is clicked? When the other button is clicked, it will take on the 'current' color I bet this has been asked before, but I've only found responses for AS2.

It also has ten buttons so that you can go between the slides.My problem is that I want the button to stay hovering while it's on it's specific slide.Right now when you hover over a button it will "rise" and when you mouse off it "lowers" I need the button to stay in the risen position while it's on it's specific slide, then lower when it transitions out and then the next button will rise in it's specific slide.

Background: I've created a script.scpt file and placed it in the root src directory of project.
I'm getting this error with what I have:
Error: Error #3219: The NativeProcess could not be started. 'launch path not accessible'
What I have:

After that I passed the script file name as an argument. It also needs the working directory to be set to the directory of the script otherwise you get:
ERROR - osascript: script.scpt: No such file or directory
It seems I have no trouble pointing an FLA's document class to my project's class package when the FLA is at the same root level as the package's top-level directory. However, if the FLA is nested in a sub-directory, then relative paths to a class nested in the package will not work.example package & class location : [url]....
Case1 :
Package location : MyProject
FLA location : MyProject[code]........
If someone can provide an explanation as to why nested FLAs can't point to custom packages in parent-level directories, OR demonstrate how this can be done,
I've been trying to launch a separate Air Application through my current Air Application.Both apps are compiled using the Adobe Air 2.0 SDK. The methods I have found so far involve passing the Publisher ID in addition to the Application ID, but I believe the Publisher ID became redundant past Air 1.5.3? Below is my current implementation whic seems to correctly ascertain the Air Application's version number, but when I try to launch it, nothing seems to happen.

I have changed the app-config.xml (app descriptor) on the application I am trying to load to allow browser invocation.The version number of the app descriptor of my application I am trying to load is "V1" which the versionDetectCallback seems to pickup. If this is the case I would expect to be able to launch it but this doesn't seem the case.
I'm trying to open a URL in Safari. It works fine for websites without Flash embedded, but crashes Safari for Flash sites.
Example (this WORKS):
tell application "Safari" to open location [URL]
This CRASHES when Safari is not already running:
tell application "Safari" to open location [URL]
Two things I noticed:
Safari only crashes for websites with embedded Flash The script above only crashes if a new instance of Safari is created (i.e. Safari was not running before)
From the second observation I assume that it could be a permission issue of some sort. Maybe the Safari instance launched from the AppleScript has a problem loading plugins?

I need to implement some sort of data locking in a Flex application I'm developing. A user clicks a specific button to "check out" the data set, and other users must wait until they are finished before they can make edits. After a period of inactivity, the application will release the lock to someone else.What I'm after is an easy way to determine if the user is still interacting with the application so they don't have to manually keep clicking "yes I want to continue editing". For example, I could handle all mouse clicks for the entire application and add 5 minutes to the timeout every time they click something. Are there any better options for doing something like this? Is there something built in to check for last interaction time?

The reason why is because I want to list all the skins in the application and then be able to apply them in real time so I can see what they look like.
Some of my flash buttons do not work in FlashPlayer 10 but work in 10.1 So I wanted to alert a user to upgrade to the most current flash player 10.1 if he/she has 10 and visits my website. What is the best way to do it? My entire site is done in Flash and I am using AS3.

It turns out that my web developer is having trouble using the file and would like it cut down to 1200 pixels wide. I can make the document 1200 wide, but then everything is off-center. Is there any way that I can crop it to 1200 my taking 200 pixels off of each side instead of just 400 off of one side? There is a folder named public in the root directory. In the "public" folder we have a folder named Recorded_Videos, I need to place the recorded videos on this folder. How can I do this.Another issue that occurs while recording is NetStream.Record.noAccess. This is occuring while the recorded video is placing on client's flash media server with the path that i specified above. But when i running it in the local flash media server(developer version), its working well. The recorded files are placed on live_test folder. In the client's server the stream is not recording, instead its showing an error like "NetStream.Record.noAccess". The code that I am using for recording live stream is follows:
